Judge Temporarily Prevents David Daleiden From Getting Fetal Researchers’ Private Info

This is called “stochastic terrorism”
US News • Views: 46,682

The anti-choice fanatics associated with video fraudster David Daleiden are now trying to get access to the personal information of employees, scientists and researchers at the University of Washington’s Birth Defects Research Laboratory, because their work involves fetal tissue.

Thankfully, a federal judge has granted a temporary restraining order to stop these nut cases for now.

But it isn’t over yet.

People need to realize that this is a deliberate harassment tactic by the anti-choice religious right, designed to intimidate and terrorize people who are trying to do work that benefits humanity by advancing scientific research into genetic and other types of disorders.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but the religious right is working constantly to pull this country back into the Dark Ages.

Employees and scientists with ties to the University of Washington’s Birth Defects Research Laboratory have won a temporary reprieve in federal court barring the release of their personal information to anti-choice activist David Daleiden and his cohorts.

Federal judge James L. Robart granted the restraining order on Wednesday, after the plaintiffs filed a class action lawsuit to block the release of a trove of documents requested by Daleiden and a representative from a Washington state anti-choice group. The unredacted records reveal the individuals’ identifying information, such as names, addresses, and phone numbers, according to court documents.

A hearing on a permanent order is expected later this month in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.

These sick fucks have no shame. A guy shoots up a Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs, yelling “baby parts!” and these assholes double down by trying to out as many people as they can in clinics for reproductive sciences.

Disgusting.

Hopefully the WW District Court will slap them down. I regret I was only 18 in 1970, so I couldn’t vote to legalize abortion in Washington:

“Don’t Labor Under a Misconception—Vote for Proposition 20!”

Still my favorite political bumpersticker of all time.

If that asshole isn’t trying to incite more violence then I’m not a middle-aged guy thinking about sparking up a bowl.

ETA: If Jesus is real, I’ll make a big bet he isn’t looking kindly on people trying to get other people hurt or killed “in His name.”

Oh? It makes so much knowing it was Carl “Bats” Paladino was the one that made the comment. He was Trump before Trump.

There is an awful lot of right-wing hatred and derp on that tweet by Mr. Tapper as well, such as this:

I note every tweet is also being sent to Dakota Meyer.

It says a lot about how Trump sees his chances of winning New York state when he chooses The King of NY RW Idiots Who Even His Fellow RW Idiots Laugh At as his state campaign chair.

Paladino: when defecation goes bad.

Trump says he hires the best people. The fact that he lets Paladino act as a face of the campaign demonstrates how he defines best. Of course, none of the actual campaign spokespeople are any better, again demonstrating that Trump apparently defines best as “willing toady”.

Personally, I think Trump’s wealth is greatly exaggerated and that he carries a huge debt load from Russian interests. Since US banks won’t loan him any money, he can’t be the builder he often claims to be, and has been earning money primarily from use of his brand.

While the campaign has increased name recognition and could be expected to boost his brand, I believe the “successful businessman and expert in luxury” brand has morphed into something quite different and much less marketable, a fact that Trump will be dismayed to discover after the election.

And if he is deeply in debt to the Russians and his income from marketing his brand dries up, he may find himself in a much less comfortable position than he’d like. I have the feeling he won’t be able to fix the debt issues with a bankruptcy.

Trump is only really concerned with not appearing to have lost to a woman; he doesn’t care what damage he may cause. But this is why its important to defeat him by landslide margins; so that it will only be sour grapes and he won’t have an opening to wreck havoc with the electoral process through recounts and lawsuits.

He wants to hire the best people. The best people smell his bad stench from 15 NYC blocks away.

re: #21 Pawn of the Oppressor

A bit of poking around indicates he’s a genuine Trumpite from Missouri. The ID badge photo on Twitter looked almost like a stock photo of a crank jerkass, which made me think Russkie troll at first… He appears to be one of Il Douche’s people, who pines for the good old days when men were men and Ngrs and women knew their place.

Ah yes, the time when white men flourished with no competition. Because we’re superior. Or something

Wow! Utah voters may not care much for Mr. Trump, but I never heard of a campaign strategy where a candidate insulted an entire state.

Rep. Mia Love will love that if it gets around her district.

How is it that sixteen other Republican candidates, many with long records and deep pockets, managed to lose the primary to Mr. Trump?

That looks like a big high school meet where a top swimmer in the state has a prelim heat against kids that swim for a school that doesn’t have its own pool. I’ve been in and seen heats like that… The fact that it happened at the Olympics is just insane.

Mr. Trump’s tweets show up with Twitter’s fabled checkmark, so I am guessing the other tweet above was a fake.

Our side doesn’t need to fake things Mr. Trump “said,” we have plenty of statements he actually did make to go with.

Because they wouldn’t go as far to feed the mob as Trump was willing to go. Real politicians measure their words carefully to maintain their general election viability.Trump just went for it, and is only now learning that directly appealing to the racism and misogyny of the GOP base has made him nearly unelectable in a general election.

Trump Campaign closes its New Jersey office.

nj.com

SECOND UPDATE: Trump’s New Jersey advisor and Nutley Township Commissioner Steve Rogers called an NJ Advance Media reporter shortly after 3 p.m. to say that “right now the focus is not on opening a headquarters, working on a door you can walk through. We’re going to see a ground campaign very shortly… it’s going to focus on getting the vote out. This is just the beginning, there’s no end here.”
