Trump’s Wacky Doctor Says He Wrote Health Letter in 5 Minutes

He’s healthier than all those other dead guys!
Politics • Views: 56,070

Credit: NBC News

The doctor who supposedly wrote that ridiculously over-the-top assessment of Donald Trump’s “astonishingly excellent” health has spoken to NBC News, and it doesn’t get any weirder than this, folks: Trump Doctor Wrote Health Letter in Just 5 Minutes as Limo Waited.

(Notice the diplomas on his office wall — they’re all crooked. The perfect touch to complete the scene.)

NBC News

Dr. Harold Bornstein, who has been the GOP nominee’s doctor for 35 years, told NBC News on Friday that he stands by his glowing assessment of the 70-year-old’s physical state.

“His health is excellent, especially his mental health,” he said in an exclusive interview at his Park Avenue office.

“Especially his mental health?” Uh, OK. Dr. Bornstein is a gastroenterologist. But he apparently does a little psychiatry on the side.

In his letter, Bornstein said there were no “significant medical problems” in Trump’s history and that a recent examination “showed only positive results.”

“If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency,” Bornstein wrote.

Asked how he could justify the hyperbole, Bornstein said, “I like that sentence to be quite honest with you and all the rest of them are either sick or dead.”

That’s right — his rationale for saying Trump would the healthiest individual ever elected president is that most of the other presidents are dead!

I remain highly skeptical that Bornstein actually wrote this letter himself.

This election just gets more and more whacked out.

UPDATE at 8/26/16 4:35:04 pm by Charles Johnson

And now… video!

UPDATE at 8/26/16 5:34:47 pm by Charles Johnson

In the photo above, you can see that the operating system running on Dr. Bornstein’s computer is the way-outdated Windows XP — and that may be a violation of HIPAA.

Why does it matter if Dr. Bornstein is using an outdated operating system? Well, it could be a violation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Microsoft stopped supporting Windows XP back in 2014 and HIPAA requires doctors to make continued security updates to their systems to protect the privacy of the information they collect on their patients.

Information stored on a computer running Windows XP is potentially at risk and the security community pretty universally regards Windows XP as unsafe at this point. So… best of luck, Mr. Trump?

Many people have caught this problem with the Dr.’s letter.

I wonder why Drumpfskind doesn’t put up a new letter with the doctor’s current info??

I am proud to share this health report, written by the highly respected Dr. Jacob Bornstein of Lenox Hill Hospital.

Trump’s mental health is so good he doesn’t even know who his doctor is.

re: #10 Belafon

That’s the secret behind Clinton’s speech. Before for the media if they wanted to talk about Trump being a racist, they would have to bring it up on their own. Imagine the screams at a crooked media. What she did simply provided the opportunity to “report” on his racism. He can stamp his widdle feet as much as he likes. His surrogates can deny, but the media just fall back on the idea that they are reporting, not opinion.

Networks like CNN have a lot to answer for, but I can see that it is a big deal for them to stand up and accuse him of racism. Report on what others say? Fair enough.

Probably the dems biggest weakness has been not providing opportunities like this, by taking the high road every time. This time Hillary just gave them the cover AND uses his own words.

Very clever IMHO

Hey now, I love my modern Santa Cruz Blur full-suspension mountain bike. Sure, I’ve had to replace chains, cassettes, so many brake pads, I had to get a whole new wheelset once, the front wheel I bought used. But hey, the headset, cranks, handlebars, seatpost and seat, shifters and shocks are still originals, though the front fork has been rebuilt half dozen times and the rear shock had to be rebuilt once and no longer locks out. Yeah it’s silly. Trump is appealing to racists, haters and conspiracy loons in his campaign.

How on earth is this statement, which is a summary of the main points of Clinton’s speech, “stooping to Trump’s level”?

Darth should let us know when she starts calling him by an insulting nickname, or saying he’s got no stamina, or saying he’s the worst businessman in the history of America, or standing there smirking while her audience chants ‘Lock him up!’, or heaping praise on somebody who says he should be shot for treason.

THAT would be ‘stooping to his level’. Darth really needs to see a doctor about that bug he’s got up his ass.

Suspension is what keeps a bike from lasting a looooong time, the way they used to. That, and carbon fiber. And disc brakes.

Modern bikes suck.

I’ve got a 1980’s Specialized Rockhopper out in the garage that’s been hanging from the rafters for about 15 years. It has the original bio-pace chainwheels and almost all of the original parts. It’s a bit of a tank but it fits me really well and I like the bike a lot. I was trying to decide if I should replace it or just take it in to get greased up and get some new tires, cables and brake pads. You’re comment is helping me make my decision.

My recommendations would be all about the companies I like and don’t. I don’t like Specialized, but it’s not about the bikes. Same for Trek. I like Jamis, which is not so well-known west of the Mississippi. Getting it from a shop he likes is the most important element.

I don’t ride much now (I need to get back into it, but peddles, shoes, shorts, etc., etc., == money I don’t have), but when I was doing a couple hundred miles a week, and was single, my mother would wonder aloud if I was going to be able to give her grandkids. It worked out ok.

So much of the ‘Cycling makes you impotent!’ kerfuffle was nonsense. Sure, if your bike and your saddle are so badly fit to you that your dick goes numb in less than half an hour in the saddle, but you KEEP ON USING IT, then, yeah, you’ll probably have issues. But if that’s NOT happening, then short of an accident, you’re pretty safe.

My biggest problem is my weight. At 225, it’s a lot of downforce on the saddle. That makes fit more important. When I was a lot younger and 60# lighter, it was no big deal.

He’s been going to this shop for years, so the shop part is easy. (They were upfront about what work they could do and what they couldn’t do on the most recent trip, and didn’t push the new bike option. Finances dictated that we do some basic repairs to keep him going through this season and look at a new one for next season though.)

Just having some ideas of what else to consider is helpful.

HA!

Well, they’re all red these days, so they all kinda do. But the problem with the Celeste saddle was actually that it was too soft. I learned to avoid anything that said “gel”. Your butt bones sink into it and then it presses on the perineum. Not good.

My current bibs have a fairly thin chamois, and my saddle is pretty firm. Takes a week to get used to it again after a long layoff, but then it’s comfy for 1-5 hours - not that I’ve done 5 hours of riding in a day in the last 3 years or so.

The key for MY saddle is that it had to be wide enough at the back for my butt bones, but flat, then immediately narrow through the nose. Most saddles I tried were too narrow at the back, or if not, to wide through the middle.

If I’m indoors, I have to CONCENTRATE to keep my HR from falling below 120. I can manage it for about 40 minutes before mental exhaustion makes me stop.

It is no exaggeration whatsoever to say that MILLIONS of people had never heard the term “alt-right” before yesterday. The vast majority of these people had never heard of Breitbart either until the hiring of Bannon. The general public NEEDS to be made aware of both and the strong connection between the two.

If that is “stooping” then I hope Hillary does a LOT more stooping in the next 10 weeks.

This is exactly right. Trump is running a campaign based on the basest racism and xenophobia that I’ve ever seen. I just cannot understand how people can look at Hillary and Trump and not see the danger he poses, just because their guy lost. The problem is that many on the left are being fed the exact same garbage as people on the right who watch Fox News. When all you get is a steady diet of derp — right or left — you cease forming opinions based on reality.

So much is at stake in this election. The winner is going to be able to pick at least three Supreme Court picks. Even if you don’t like Clinton, at the very least she’ll appoint justices like Judge Garland who will be much better than anything Trump would appoint. It’s just selfish bullshit.

Target heart rates are definitely a very individual thing. Something I have on my list to talk to the doctor about at my next physical, just to touch base on.

Yeah, but don’t be too surprised if he/she doesn’t know much. A lot of doctors don’t know much beyond the old, and essentially useless “220- your age” as Max HR. That would make my MaxHR 162, which isn’t even my aerobic threshold.

My current doctor is aimed more at sports and active stuff, so I’m hoping to maybe get a little bit of guidance. There’s some other reasons I want to touch base on the topic anyway, so I may end up seeing a specialist at some point.

So, a woman on the bus is reading an article about this site: communityleadersbrief.org

This article reads like the plot of some summer blockbuster or video game: a series of mass arrests of “takers” and a “reset” of the global banking system, in order to save the world!

I mean, the printout has a timeline of events that “community leaders” can take when the “event” starts, to ensure that the whole world doesn’t, I dunno, COMPLETELY MELT DOWN when no one has money for two weeks. (The proposed length of the shutdown.)

It’s using the Twitter API (Application Program Interface), the system Twitter makes available to developers to write client programs like LGF Connect. I don’t know if your work firewall blocks the URLs used by the API - all you can do is try it and see if it works.

Love the frame pump. I’ve had a hard time finding one like that. I had to remove one of my bottle cages to put one on.

Ever since I had to walk 2 miles in cleats, I like to go on rides well-equipped to deal with flats. Minipumps take FOREVER, and if you carry one CO2 cartridge and one tube, and then THAT goes flat, you’re stuck making the Call Of Shame. With a frame pump, a spare tube, and some patches, you only have to do that if the tire itself is ruined.

Which also happened to me once. I hit God’s Own Pothole halfway down a 4 mile descent - WHAM!!!! - went around the next curve, thinking, “Man, am I lucky that didn’t flat!”. As soon as the road straightened out - PSSSSSSSSSSssssssssssshhhhhhhhh

Put in the spare tube, pumped it up and noticed a slight bulge in the casing. Nursed it down to the bottom and called my wife, rather than risking the 16 miles home.

His entire campaign thus far is premised on the idea that running as a shit lord is a good idea.

Only the terminally and deliberately feeble-minded could believe that there is any sincerity or substance in Trump supposedly pivoting to a more civilized general election campaign than he ran in the GOP primary. Naturally this means we are going to see another 10 weeks of breathless reporting on this rainbow-farting unicorn from the MSM.

Once again I have to point out to the Dems here and elsewhere who didn’t think Mary Landrieu was liberal enough, that when it comes to states like Louisiana, you need to take the best you can get, not the best imaginable. Something the die-hard Berners have yet to understand.

Not that the MSM cares:

I caught a bit of Chuck Todd’s show today, and couldn’t turn it off fast enough. The new talking point/spin is - in addition to the both-siderist BS - that undecided voters will get “turned off” by HRC’s “negative tone” and stay home. e_e

“Shoot the bitch” and “lock her up” are no problem though because they’re so positive.

Thanks for clearing that up, Chuck.

re: #235 Varek Raith

Few in the media get on my nerves as quickly as Todd does.

There’s way too much garbage in the media. It’s gotten so bad that if an act of real journalism takes place, that becomes the story.

They complain that Kaine is a DINO. They have no idea what Virginia politics is like. Instead of being proud that we have a reasonably progressive Democrat like Kaine who did well in what was a very Republican state early in his career, they chose to find fault. Not anyone can have Bernie’s Vermont.

My daily commuter is a 95 Specialized Stumpjumper, and I’m in no rush to replace it. I say check and adjust and grease and ride the old bike.

The way he is talking and holding himself it is evident he is ashamed of what he has done but is sticking to his story (for whatever reason). This doctor and his letter are bought and paid for by Trump.
