In Ohio, Donald Trump Refuses to Say Obama Was Born in the US

Donald Trump’s poll numbers have ticked upward, and he’s getting cocky again. Today in Ohio, he signaled a return to the disgusting racist conspiracy theory that made him a right wing star: Trump defiant as polls rise, won’t say Obama was born in United States.

In the interview, conducted late Wednesday aboard his private plane as it idled on the tarmac here, Trump suggested he is not eager to change his pitch or his positions even as he works to reach out to minority voters, many of whom are deeply offended by his long-refuted suggestion that Obama is not a U.S. citizen. Trump refused to say whether he believes Obama was born in Hawaii.

“I’ll answer that question at the right time. I just don’t want to answer it yet,” Trump said.

When asked whether his campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, was accurate when she said recently that he now believes Obama was born in this country, Trump responded: “It’s okay. She’s allowed to speak what she thinks.”

We have lot’s of people in this country who will vote Republican no matter what. The party also has a whole lot of racists that are partially scared that if they don’t win this election, it’s all over for them. There’s not much we can do about them. What we can do in spite of them is vote and get other people out to vote. It will never be a huge victory, but Clinton can win.

Right. Show me the states. As I recall, the red states are so damn red these days it’s like a bit of a (D) gerrymander effect in the electoral college, where a Republican could plausibly get more of the popular vote than the Democrat and still lose in the electoral college. This is especially striking in view of the over-representation of sparsely populated states in the electoral college, which are mostly red.

As recently as 2004, it seemed like the Electoral College was irreversibly tilted the other way. I’m just skeptical that if a Republican won by 500,000 votes but lost the Electoral vote, like 2000 in reverse, that it would stick. I don’t think it would.

Have you ever heard that bit about never argue with a street person? You have to fight down on their level and they are better experienced at it.

Trump is good at the negative. It is his territory.

Think back on her convention speech. I think she has gotten a little away from that. She had a bit of that Obama soaring feel good preacher thing going.

Also, it may keep the media from continually saying the whole shebang is a mud wrestling fight and back off the type of criticism she did get from the media on her
“attacking” the voters.

She can still get in some zingers, but tighten them up so they can be powerful and kept at a minimum. Then give examples immediately of actual political governing experience which Trump has none of which is a natural implied negative made without being negative. A little compare and contrast of actual bad policy Trump is proposing without even mentioning him.

Go over his head. It might frustrate Trump too. He wants a street fight.

When you smoke it, the effects are immediate and short term, the drug is absorbed in your lungs, which is a mainline to your bloodstream. When you eat it the effects are delayed and can be longer term, it takes a little longer for the drug to get to your bloodstream through your digestive tract.

Highest I’ve ever been on weed, I ate it.

Just because, and using some really rough estimates (approximating the volume of the seat as two 0.5” cylinders, based on the short-length diameter of the toilet seat in my house, and subtracting the smaller from the larger), I did the math. That toilet seat is close to 50 pounds.
