Breitbart “News” Uses Photo of Ape to Illustrate Trump’s Birther Press Conference

The far right propagandist who runs Breitbart “News,” Stephen Bannon, is now also Donald Trump’s campaign CEO.

And this is how his website covered Donald Trump’s “press conference” at which he blamed Birtherism on Hillary Clinton; they illustrated their article gloating about Trump trolling the media with a photo of an ape.

Note that Harambe, the ape who was shot at the Cincinnati Zoo when he grabbed a child who had climbed into his enclosure, has become a very common meme among the white supremacist “alt-right” crowd, the crowd for which Bannon openly claims to be the voice. So this was no accident. It was a deliberate in-joke they knew would appeal to the racist alt-right and Trump supporters.

After people began pointing out this disgusting article on social media, someone at Breitbart “News” replaced the ape photo. This is what the page looks like now:
