Pence Says Gennifer Flowers Won’t Be at Debate, Trump Was Just “Mocking” Clinton

Making a mockery of the presidential election

You probably heard the news yesterday that Donald Trump was going to invite Bill Clinton’s ex-mistress Gennifer Flowers to the debate tomorrow night. Today, Mike Pence says she’s not going to be there; Trump was just “mocking” Hillary Clinton.

“Gennifer Flowers will not be attending the debate tomorrow night,” Mr. Pence said. “Donald was using the tweet yesterday really to mock an effort by Hillary Clinton and her campaign…”

Right, “mock” her in the most misogynistic way imaginable — by trying to shame Clinton by waving her husband’s mistress at her. No, this is not equivalent in any way to the Clinton campaign inviting Mark Cuban, who has been taking a stand against Trump — unless Cuban has had an affair with one of Trump’s wives, that is.

It’s a grotesque thing to do, but I guess we’re all supposed to be used to this kind of ugly behavior by Donald Trump now. He got a rise out of his debased right wing followers with it, and that’s apparently all he wanted. He’s playing the knuckle-draggers like a fiddle.
