That’s even less than the 27% number.

Small group sample size error. 3 of 20 is 15%, but to get close to 27% you only need 2-3 more in that group of 20 to get there. It’s like in baseball you can go 4 for 4 in one game, but chances are you’re not going to go 75 for 75.

In other words, it’s probably still close to 27%.

Until GW Bush decided to depose Hussien, the geopolitical world view regarding the region was that Iraq was designed by the European powers to serve as a counterweight to Iran in the region. They’ve always been a regional power, and in the days of empires, were a major power a few times, as well.

Attacking Iranian naval ships wouldn’t start a war?

Good to know.

146

Against a more coherent opponent, this would be a tricky argument to make about setting up the sanctions that ultimately led to the Iran deal. So many things could have gone wrong, and still can.

Here… wow, this debate is night and day on Mercury.

1) they aren’t paying fair share.
2) they should be pay the proper amounts;
3) NATO could be obsolete because they don’t focus on terror.

The only time the mutual defense obligations were activated was after 9/11 - when the Europeans came to our assistance.

NOT the other way around.

It should be a no contest. This was a TKO, and frankly, it wasn’t even that close. Trump never even came close on hitting Clinton. The closest was on email exchange, and even then, it wasn’t close.

Trump’s performance was taking the worst of Lazio and mixing it with Trump’s Sarah Palin word salad.

Busy with my job a lot but making good money, though the commute is still bad but not as bad as it could be.

I still take the time to read most of the threads but as you guys probably know I made my bones back when I was still in college and LGF was still making a transition from being not affiliated with the far right to one that was openly embracing the center left. Back then I felt this place really needed me to do what little I could to champion liberal causes in my awkward stumbling way.

These days my moderately liberal positions are more or less the norm on this site which is why I don’t drop in to post all that often.

That and I’m playing a lot of Blood Bowl 2 recently.

It’s obvious to me that the Clintons have moved far beyond that point in their history, but tools like Trump and his supporters haven’t. And besides, that sh*t didn’t end Bill Clinton’s presidency when the GOP thought it would in the 1990s. His poll numbers rose, and he’s still one of the most popular presidents today. *shudder*

I went to an open house at my kids school and talked to the teachers. The places where we’re screwing up education is in places like Detroit where we need to put more money and get good teachers. For a lot of the places you’re thinking of, though, a lot of it’s not the teachers. It’s parents who think that when the kids learn about slavery, that they need to have the correct information, namely that the slaves had it better and where happy. It’s parents who think that evolution is about teachers trying to make kids worship the devil.

Trump “got away” with it David when your jackass party nominated him. Clinton can only do so much in 90 minutes to him that none of your “great roster of candidates” could not do in a month of primary debates.

We unfortunately are one of the states where both parties really are equally shitty.

Which is exactly why you’re the state that can produce a Frank Sinatra, a Bruce Springsteen, a Queen Latifah.

I have a whole plan. We’re going to start an adoption ring using our Canadian members. I’m sure it’ll go just fine.

I have my glass case with its little hammer that says “In case of political emergency, break glass” with Canadian money in it. Passports on standby.

“Andrea Mitchell not happy.”

Based on what I’ve seen of her reporting, it’s no one’s fault except her own that she thinks Trump is an acceptable candidate for president. Just because one makes oneself believe a certain thing doesn’t mean it’s true. I am fed up with these media personalities trying to shape the news instead of reporting the news. Anyone who has spent any time listening to her program should have no doubt that she leans right.

Hey guys…

I saw ProLifeLiberal mention that he missed having me around earlier so I thought I’d drop in and let you know how I’m doing.

My Chaos Team was missbuilt honestly, needed to work on making a killer beastman and not going to get one any time soon but hey I’m 2300 TV so I might as well keep playing games and work on my general fundamentals, can always craft a new Nurgle team once they come out to play.

I lost one Chaos V Chaos game and won a second, so that’s something.

Hope you guys are all keeping well!

Good to see you.

That didn’t take long. “Trump wins debate” on all the conservative websites.

Maybe the unskewed polls guy can come back and join us for the next few weeks. That would be good.
