Eric Trump and Kellyanne Conway Tweet Link to Fake News Site to Attack Hillary Clinton

Yes, this really happened today. Both Eric Trump and Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, tweeted a link to one of those fake news sites, to accuse Hillary Clinton of paying protesters to show up at Donald Trump’s rallies.

They’ve both deleted their tweets now, but here are the screenshots.

“abcnews.com.co” is a fake news site designed to look like ABC News. It’s a click-bait enterprise that exists to trick people into spreading their fake stories by preying on confirmation bias. And they found some very willing and gullible marks in Kellyanne Conway and Eric Trump.

This isn’t just sloppiness. It’s pure desperation, because Donald Trump’s poll numbers are headed for the bottom of the ocean, and they’re grasping at straws to attack the Clinton campaign as woman after woman comes forward to say Donald Trump groped, kissed, or ogled them without their consent.
