Video: Hillary Clinton Calls Out Donald Trump for His Outrageous Legitimization of Conspiracy Peddler Alex Jones

Politics • Views: 39,136

One of the worst things about Donald Trump and his debased candidacy is how he’s legitimized raving nutjobs like Alex Jones — a flim flam man who says the Sandy Hook massacre was staged, 9/11 was an “inside job,” and imaginary “chemtrails” are a secret government mind control plot (just to name a few of the grotesque fantasies he sells).

And it isn’t just Donald. His sons and campaign surrogates also routinely tweet links to Alex Jones’s whacked out websites, and one of his main advisers, Roger Stone, is a very frequent guest on Jones’s show.

So it’s really good to see Hillary Clinton calling him out on his outrageous association with this conspiracy peddler who takes advantage of the gullible to spread delusions and hatred.

the disconnect between “the government can’t do anything right” and 85% of these conspiracy theories used to make me laugh.

But I’ve been reading up on fascism recently, trying to understand it beyond the mere surface of totalitarianism and white supremacy. What jumps out at me is that fascists will tell you that their enemies are incompetent (we’re losing deals and wars, we’ve been made weak by the current leadership) in one breath and that they are diabolical (insert favorite conspiracy theories here) in the next.

Interesting, because I’ve been saying for years that one defining characteristic of modern conservatives is the ability to simultaneously believe two mutually exclusive things, and to believe both to the very depths of their souls.

Years ago, my old boss had a sign on his door that said, “If you’re not being rejected, you’re not really trying!”

Wags at the company put up a bunch of variants, including, “If you’re not being ejected, you’re not really flying.”

In my study of WWII that’s one of the things that stands out about the Axis.

All the time, “Our enemies are weak. They are cowardly. They hate us for our strength and their lack of it requires them to implement nefarious, sneaky plots to make us weak. When we fight them, and we will fight them, they will roll up like carpets before our superior intellect, strength and moral superiority.”

Where is the Axis now?

I hear loud echoes of that attitude in today’s ‘conservatives’.

I’ve been noticing that the same right-wing politicians that say/think “the government can’t do anything right” are the same ones who: A. want a job in government, and B. call on the federal government when there’s a natural disaster in their states. I call this “talking out of both sides of their mouths.”

So since Jeffery put up that picture of mouthwatering hotdogs a few hours ago I’ve been craving a delicious grilled, smoky hotdog slathered in goodies. Just took my dog for a walk so we could get all settled in for an evening of football (Colts @ Texans). Passed by the park outdoor kitchen along the way and a neighbor was cooking, insisting I join them. I got my hotdog! Oooo it was so good! Proving that visualization works, I’m thinking.

I’m visualizing now Hillary in the oval with a Dem House and Senate. Ommmmm… Hey it worked for hotdogs. :D

Christianity is the vehicle they use to hide their true feelings and plans/agenda. They keep urging everyone to “pray” for others after every mass killing, natural disaster, or unfortunate occurrence, but they never lift one finger to prevent/mitigate it. They’re religious frauds of the worst sort. Look at Mike Pence who is supposed to be 100% Christian but has a long list of persons and things he hates, mostly LGBTQ Americans, the poor, and anyone who isn’t a well-to-do GOPer. The GOPers who are lining up to support Trump and Pence are their useful idjits. They have no idea that the only purpose they serve for these two is to put them in positions of political power. These are the same people who thought GWB would sit down and have a beer with them. It never happened, and it never will.

What really pissed me off was reading on yesterday that Jeff Zucker at CNN only now has regrets about providing Trump with millions in free coverage when he started running for POTUS. Yes, CNN got better ratings and Zucker and the shareholders have made more money but look at the damage Trump has done, and is doing, to our democracy. I don’t want to hear about his regrets. He can stuff them in his body where the sun doesn’t shine because he chose entertainment, ratings, and money over information-based journalism.

Isn’t that fond of Hillary, but as he said “She lives in the real world, can triangulate on a position, make the compromises and make it work. Trump will declare war on Lichtenstein, override everybody, direct the troops directly, and when we lose blame it on someone else.”

I love my Dad.

Since Trump’s odds of winning plummeted for two weeks after the first debate, his odds of winning in 538’s polls only model has stayed fairly stable at under 14%. His current estimated level of support at about 43% of the electorate may represent his base level of support. I don’t think at this point Trump is willing or capable of doing anything to expand his base, so Hillary’s objective in the final debate should be to set out a positive vision to inspire the majority of Americans and give them something to vote for, which could bring a Democratic Congress if everything breaks just right.

No, I’m not gonna go there. But many people are saying it.

Here’s an interesting point raised on a dKos diary about the incident:

The swastika is what gets me. You would think the word “Nazi” would be enough if you’re trying to get your point across. The tagger also took the time to make a swastika in the exact style of white power groups…not the nice straight lines we normally think about. This is a very distinctive design choice on the part of the artist.

The entire message itself also looks very legible and well-practiced. Most amateur/first-time taggers could not be that precise, especially if working fast. I’ll bet other samples of his work can be found in the area.

Is this person correct about the swastika in the graffiti being a distinct design?

And AJ Delgado tries to say (it is so garbled, it makes little sense) that if you accuse someone of sexual assault, your looks are germain to the discussion.

I don’t think he was referring to her looks. If he did, when you have somebody claiming that you sexually assaulted them, you have brought looks into the equation,” Delgado said.

“If somebody said, ‘A.J. was attracted to me and touched me in an inappropriate manner,’ it’s relevant to the discussion whether that person is the type of person that I would normally be attracted to,” Delgado continued. “He hasn’t mentioned looks. If he did, it would be germane to the discussion. I wouldn’t find that offensive.”

It would appear this either took time to do right or someone who has been tagging things for a long time.

Correct, and it’s not like Trump hasn’t spent more time attacking the GOP in the last few weeks. He ramped up the attacks after Ryan uninvited him to appear with him at that rally in WI. Trump’s not one to stop and consider the possible impact[s] of the things he says on his supporters. Members of the press who cover his events have shared examples of the effects Trump’s words about them have had on his supporters’ attitudes toward them. IIRC, a group of journalists had to be escorted out of one of Trump’s rallies by cops in riot gear a few days ago.

depends, what do they like and not like?

One of them hates mushrooms. Other than that they seem to enjoy everything. I was thinking smoked baby back ribs but too messy to eat. Maybe grilled stuffed pork chops? Fajitas are always safe but not special enough. Ideas please!

Yes
The image is of Cpt Jeffrey MacDonald. He killed his pregnant wife and two daughters.

No, I’m not gonna go there. But many people are saying it.

Considering that many Trumpenstein followers also watch Alex Jones, where everything and anything is a false flag, it’s going to be very tough to not discount that.

Folks, check the date on that poll - September 24, right before the first debate. That was the closest it’s been. It’s been 3 weeks of Trump stepping on his dick since then.
