President Obama Tells Donald Trump: “Stop Whining” About a Rigged Election
In a press conference with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi today, President Obama let Donald Trump have it. He blasted Trump’s irrational conspiracy theories about a “rigged election,” and told him:
It doesn’t really show the kind of leadership and toughness that you’d want out of a president. If you start whining before the game’s even over, if whenever things are going badly for you and you lose you start blaming someone else, then you don’t have what it takes to be in this job.
[…]
So I’d advise Mr. Trump to stop whining, and go try to make his case to get votes.
Of course, everyone (including Obama) realizes this is going to absolutely enrage Trump, being called out as the whiny crybaby he is, and he’ll be forced by his own narcissism and egomania to lash out. In other words, this was a perfectly executed troll by the most powerful man in the world.
