Gen. Flynn’s Son Tweets to Conspiracy-Monger Alex Jones, Spreads “PizzaGate” Conspiracy Theory

This country is in big trouble
Politics • Views: 39,538

As if we needed anything else to be frightened about in the incoming Trump administration, the son of Trump’s top national security adviser is helping spread the baseless far right conspiracy theory known as “PizzaGate” — the conspiracy theory that inspired a gunman yesterday to invade the Comet Ping Pong pizzeria in Washington DC and terrorize the customers and employees.

And almost as horrifying as the fact Flynn Jr. is defending this dangerous nonsense: the people he tweeted this to. Rabid conspiracy-monger Alex Jones, rape defender Michael Cernovich, fake news propagator Jack Posobiec and several other “alt-right” Twitter accounts. This is bad craziness at its worst; Flynn Jr. is also an adviser to his father, and now has an official government transition email address — so he’s going to be part of this administration. Bad craziness at the top levels of the US government.

Note that in addition to everything else I pointed out above, Flynn Jr. is revealing what appears to be a private message from Jake Tapper, in order to gloat about “hitting a nerve” to his fellow nutjobs.

One can only conclude that Trump and his minions are determined to fuck things up.

You know how the Pharoahs and emperors of antiquity liked to build themselves massive tombs and then when they died, they had hundreds of slaves murdered and buried with them to serve them in the afterlife.

Well Trump is like that. He is 70 and sees his mortality coming. There were not enough adoring fans of “The Apprentice” so he must have 7 BILLION SLAVES BREATHLESSLY HANGING ON TO HIS EVERY TWEET & BE BURIED WITH HIM TO SERVE HIM IN THE AFTERLIFE.

He also commuted the sentence of a man that went on to murder four police officers. The man was in prison for breaking into the home of a cop and stealing firearms. The man also had tried to brain a court bailiff with a padlock while in court.

Ummm, Trump had nothing to do with the DAPL being stopped (for now). That’s on the Army Corps of Engineers and protesters getting a bit of traction.

TPP is still in the air, and Trump’s going to make hash of trade deals and our relations with our current allies.

As much as I appreciate the DAPL protesters, we can’t all be professional activists. Bernie offered this for how he’d urge passage of his legislation if the GOP refused to cooperate with him. I’m happy with the positive resolution of DAPL but Bernie is wrong again here.

I think Sanders is right in this case, though. Rally together to stand against what Trump wants to do. The more the better. I don’t think he was saying Trump had anything to do with DAPL.

Yeah Trump the “Blue Collar” friendly guy is going to pick someone opposed to the Executive Order because of course he is. I’ve actually been researching that EO a lot lately since the injunction is something we’re putting in my law firm’s monthly newsletter we send to small businesses. I can’t editorialize my personal thoughts for the newsletter obviously but Mazzant made a mistake.

That is true. I just don’t know how mass rallies are going to stop Trump. We might get some wins I concede but I dunno I’m just sketpical because we protested the Iraq War and that didn’t do anything to change the Bush Admin’s mind.

The lion’s share of the work was done by the people protesting there all these months. But getting news coverage and then having more people paying attention and providing support does give me hope that, in larger and larger numbers, together, we as a nation can resist and push back against Trump and his minions.

More and more and more of us are going to have to stand up, speak up, hound legislators, participate in boycotts, support organizations and get involved - locally and nationally.

Carson briefly admitted he was unqualified to serve in government. It’s gotta be killing Huckabee though just a bit that he’s not being considered for anything since he was one of Trump’s biggest ass kissers. But maybe that Ambassadorship to Israel is still happening.

Job interview:
Interviewer: “So, Mr. Huckleby, you are applying to be Ambassador to Israel. Do you have any diplomatic experience?”
Huckabee: “It’s Huckabee. And I would be a great fit cuz I want all the jooz to die so the world can end.”
Interviewer: “Thanks for coming in, Mr. Huckleberry. We’ll let you know…”

I would like to put that juror on camera, and make them watch the video again, and require that person to tell me what Scott could possibly have done to justify being shot in the back as he ran away.

Slager clearly thought he was made of liquid metal like the terminator in T2, and that he could simply reverse course and immediately attack.

That juror lied his way onto the panel. He/she believes cops are infallible and wholly above the law. If this was legally justified, there is no limit. A cop could follow a fleeing suspect to his/her home and shoot the person without repercussion.

Rallies probably don’t do much to stop things, on average. But they can help to move public opinion over the longer term. For example, they didn’t stop the Iraq invasion, but they—and opposition to the war more broadly—probably had an influence on how the media eventually reported on the war and public opinion about the war as it dragged on.

On the subject of this thread, per Hunter at kos:

“I must’ve really hit a nerve” is, for the record, the third thing that immediately tells you you’re not just reading the words of a conspiracy believer, but an enormously stupid one. Yes, that’s it: Everyone yelling at you for believing something so objectively ridiculous is obviously evidence that the entire rest of the world is in on the conspiracy. Of course. Makes perfect sense, and so forth. And the only way to protect yourself from the conspirators is to jam a fork as far into your ear as it will go, thus creating a silverware-based antenna for receiving the real truth from the real truth satellites.

(Note, #s 1 and 2: The incontrovertible proof you’re dealing with is someone who has sent his mind on permanent holiday is the mention of (1) “secret tunnels” or (2) “false flag!”)

dailykos.com

And once again, the ubiquitous conspiracy promoter , Jack Posobiec is mentioned, and I still wonder who the fuck this guy is. Anyone? Anyone? Buehler?

Greetings to all as a longtime lurker. I am finally compelled to register as I need a place to describe the darkness that is invading my family. My 41 yo son texted me today furious at my husband for the shit he is spewing on his Facebook page. My husband is a good man, but has been infected and I don’t know how to help him. My 32 yo daughter cried like a baby after the election because she is afraid for friends who may be affected by the hate that has been unleashed by Trump and his base. I never, in a million years, expected to have to deal with such a malignant environment.

I remember the water fountains with “colored” signs here in the deep south and I don’t want to see any variation of that ever again. I remember the whispers about a cousin who was “funny” and later found dead, alone, in a gay New Orleans community, his death unexplained. I don’t ever want another family to have to face that because some have reverted to intolerance. I remember awakening to the vastness of the world the first time I went overseas as a young adult. I’m no spring chicken now, and I still marvel at the infinite variety.

I hate that my natural pollyanna-ish nature is leaning toward cynicism. I hate that I can’t think of this incoming government as anything but a foreboding of pain for so many. You all provide an island of sanity and safety for me as I try to keep it together. I may not always agree with the views expressed, but at least I know that you have reached your points-of-view using reliable information to direct your logic. Self-awareness seems to be a limited commodity these days.

I look forward to the next post and the insight you all provide in the comments (which I look forward to reading, unlike so many sites now).
