Vanity Fair Panned the Trump Grill, So of Course Trump Viciously Attacked Them on Twitter

The thin-skinned narcissist who can never ignore criticism
Politics • Views: 44,339

Donald Trump just keeps reinforcing the fact that he’s a thin-skinned vindictive narcissist who should not be allowed anywhere near the White House (but barring a miracle, he’ll be there in a little over a month).

Today, Vanity Fair’s Tina Nguyen published a review of the restaurant in New York’s Trump Tower, and I almost feel sorry for her after reading it: Trump Grill Could Be the Worst Restaurant in America.

Renowned butcher Pat LaFrieda once dared me to eat an eyeball that he himself popped out of the skull of a roasted pig. That eyeball tasted better than the Trump Grill’s (Grille’s) Gold Label Burger, a Pat LaFrieda–branded short-rib burger blend molded into a sad little meat thing, sitting in the center of a massive, rapidly staling brioche bun, hiding its shame under a slice of melted orange cheese. It came with overcooked woody batons called “fries”—how can someone mess up fries?—and ketchup masquerading as Heinz. If the cheeseburger is a quintessential part of America’s identity, Trump’s pledge to “make America great again” suddenly appeared not very promising. (Presumably, Trump’s Great America tastes like an M.S.G.-flavored kitchen sponge lodged between two other sponges.)

Read the whole thing — it’s a savage take on what sounds like an abysmally bad, yet absurdly tacky and pretentious eatery where I will never eat.

Donald Trump, being an egomaniacal jerk, couldn’t just ignore this, of course, and he fired up his Android phone while perched on his solid gold toilet in his gold-encrusted penthouse, and tweeted a completely typical Trump tweet in response.

This is our President-Elect: a man who cannot let criticism go unanswered, no matter how mundane the topic. Scary and sad at the same time.

Trump products are shitty because he’s a narcissist who doesn’t care to make anything good for other people. He uses his own golf courses, so he pays attention to them, but everything else he “brands” is shiny crap.

Speaking of Chuck C. Johnson, today is his scheduled “Show Cause” hearing in Fresno, for the suit he filed against Gawker and then failed to show up for. He also failed to serve them.

He’s supposed to show cause why he shouldn’t be sanctioned for missing the first hearing. If he bails out again, he could be facing a large fine at the very least.

I love it every time he sends out one of these “personal” tweets. Love it.

I work with a guy who used to be a marginal friend. One of those people that was working very hard for me to like him and to impress me. Something always seemed off.

I am in tech. We are well-paid. And then i see this guy ranting on Facebook about having to budget now due to Obama’s policies and he’s now a big Trump supporter. This guy just put in a massive pool and outdoor kitchen in his massive home. The struggle is real, folks.

We barely speak at work now. My boss deals with him because he is TERRIFIED of my boss.

So every new tweet like this, I just look at this guy and ask how the new pool is doing.

I may be a bit vindictive when I choose to be.

I’m definitely asking for “How to Even~for Dummies” for Christmas this year. All the face-palming is beginning to cause bruises.

Other than that, we’re in the midst of sorting out our charitable contributions for the year. Definitely got to up our social welfare component. We’re already very well represented on environmental stuff.
And we’ve agreed with our (adult) kids that most gifts will be in the form of contributions in their names this year. Easy shopping. Lots of good feelings. It’s a win-win.

I hope every Democratic congressman and media figure works out their own unique, hilarious insult for Trump and only refers to him by that nickname.

The first time Elizabeth Warren calls him a shitgibbon on the floor of the Senate, his meltdown will be epic. Hell, if they can tag-team the insults before important veto deadlines, they might be able to get a few things passed, because he’ll be focused on Twitter instead of his actual job.

Shameless plug for a page I just submitted, that has made me very, VERY depressed.

A year ago, the Daily Beast published a story about the war in Ukraine - specifically, the info-war that the Russians were waging, using social media to spread “Fake News” and sow confusion, fear and doubt amongst their enemies, and to brainwash susceptible dimwits into supporting a clearly idiotic and criminal enterprise.

At the time, it was of interest to me because of my work in Ukraine.

Flash-forward a year.

Boy, does this story resonate in a whole new way today, eh? The Kremlin’s trolls have destabilized our entire media ecosystem to the point where they are claiming victory, that “Putin is now the president of Russia AND America.”

History is re-written by the victors. You have not been taught all of it. ‘Human nature’ will be a mystery for centuries to come. People who say otherwise have an agenda to push. There are people who can help run societies that do not discriminate against groups of others. Keep up the hope and help them.

bonerici  Dec 15, 2016 • 1:01:39pm

Charles I think you might not know this but

“he fired up his Android phone while perched on his solid gold toilet in his gold-encrusted”

That statement isn’t actually true. Trump is from the older generation and actually doesn’t know how to use either an Android phone nor how to use a computer or laptop. In fact, he never types out any of his own tweets and never actually types anything as far as I can tell.

What he does is have his aides and secretaries and assistants who follow him around constantly to type it into his twitter feed for him. He can not actually tweet himself as far as I can tell. Which makes the tweets at 4am a bit more interesting than they seem at first glance.

4am. Trump wakes up, and when Trump wakes up you wake up. Trump listens to Fox news, has someone read the latest news to him. Goes to the toilet. Sits on the golden throne. Has an idea. Yells out “Get in here!” Aide walks in while Trump is dumping. “Now tweet this ugggggh out for me uggggh. Oh that’s a big one. No, don’t tweet that. Tweet this, ‘Has anyone looked at the poor numbers of … uggggh plop, at the poor numbers of Vanity Fair?’”

The aide nearly faints from the aroma but carefully dictates it into twitter.

By the way Hillary was the same. She was actually able to use the blackberry but only the 10 year old models. She was never able to figure out Android or IOS and never used a computer to actually read her e-mails. She forced her aides to either dictate the e-mails to her or to print them out. Trump likewise probably never touches an android phone or laptop.
