Trump’s Mouthpiece Sean Spicer Tries to Walk Back Trump’s Boasts About Revealing Things “Other People Don’t Know”

No, he really doesn’t know
Politics • Views: 45,148

A few days ago our incoming Narcissist in Chief Donald Trump said he “knows things other people don’t know” about Russia influencing the election, and that he’d reveal his special super-secret knowledge on “Tuesday or Wednesday.”

Now here’s Trump’s White House press secretary, the always disingenuous Sean Spicer, trying to walk back what was clearly an empty boast by Pumpkin Pinochet, saying, “It’s not a question of necessarily revealing.”

Spicer also went on Fox News today and told the right wing audience that there’s “zero evidence” Russia influenced the election, despite the fact that both the FBI and CIA say there’s plenty of convincing evidence.

Man, this is going to be a long four years.

The Amarillo Fire Department said there were 10 people inside the home when the incident occurred. When crews arrived at the scene just after 5 a.m. Monday, one minor was already dead. The other three died after being taken to the hospital. The oldest of those who have died due to this incident was 17 years old. One of the other people who were taken to the hospital is said to be unstable and in critical condition.

AFD said someone at the residence had sprayed a pesticide containing aluminum phosphide underneath the house. At some point, a person living at the home tried to wash away the pesticide with water. This caused a chemical reaction that created phosphine gas, which is extremely dangerous. Phosphine gas causes pulmonary edema and extreme respiratory distress.

According to AFD, there are indications that the people in the home had been breathing the toxic gas for up to two days.

According to Special Crimes, “No criminal charges appear to apply at this time.”

Don't Blame Me, I Voted for Kodos  Jan 2, 2017 • 1:15:14pm

After looking at the last few days’ worth of interviews of Trump and his lackeys regarding Russia influencing the US election process, I really, really hope that he isn’t getting detailed intelligence briefings about all of this.

Reason being, I’m becoming increasingly convinced that Donald Trump should be at the center of people being investigated. I’m not big on conspiracy theories, but everything about this stinks to high heaven. Those conversations with the FBI and CIA should be in the form of him being interrogated as a suspect in a criminal inquiry.

re: #15 Backwoods_Sleuth

This is damned dangerous stuff, and pretty widely used.Aluminium phosphide (AIP)

Caution must be taken to avoid exposing the AlP to any sources of moisture, as this generates toxic phosphine gas.

AlP is used as a rodenticide, insecticide, and fumigant for stored cereal grains. It is used to kill small verminous mammals such as moles and rodents. The tablets or pellets, known as “wheat pills”, typically also contain other chemicals that evolve ammonia which helps to reduce the potential for spontaneous ignition or explosion of the phosphine gas.

There is a lot of wheat farming in the Amarillo area and this material would probably be widely available there.

It will be over simply because the Republicans will be rubber-stamping each and every criminal act that Trump commits during his tenure. The only chance that it will be shorter is if by some miracle Democrats take control of Congress during the 2018 midterm elections (barring Trump getting Enabling Acts passed granting him dictatorial powers that is).

Springsteen and Maron discuss how Trump is basically the High School principal who sics the bad guys on you.
Maron. “Are you scared now?” Springsteen. “Yeah. Yeah, of course, how could you not be?” Maron. “Have you felt this fear before?” Springsteen. “No. I’ve felt disgust before, but never the kind of fear that you fear now. It’s as simple as the fear of is someone simply competent enough to do this particular job. Forget about where they are ideologically; do they simply have the pure competence to be put in a position of such responsibility?”
Maron. “It’s sort of like they elected the most insecure, needy, volatile dude to do this job…I don’t think it embodies strength to a lot of people, but it does embody f*** you…Who you voting for? The f*** you guy…Once adversity tips into hopelessness…and you’ve written those characters…When the hopelessness has no place to go, this is where you’re at…Where’s your empathy around that?…You have that moment when you’re like, who the f*** are you, who are you, I thought I knew you.” Springsteen. “I mean, I understand how he got elected. I mean, if you were affected deeply by deindustrialization and globalization…and you have been left behind, and somebody comes along and tells you ‘I’m going to bring all the jobs back; don’t worry about it, they’re all coming back.’ “And you’re concerned about America changing, the browning of American — ‘I’m going to build a wall.’…You’re worried about terrorism in the United States, ‘I’m going to register the Muslims’…These are all very simplistic but very powerful and simple ideas; I mean, they’re lies…But if you’ve struggled for the past 30-40 years…somebody comes along and offers you something else, particularly after you feel you’ve been failed by the two parties, it’s a compelling choice. It just appeals to your worst angels…”
Q. “And what’s your biggest fear of it and we enter it?” A. “I suppose would be that a lot of the worst things and the worst things of what he appealed to come to fruition. When you let that genie out of the bottle - bigotry, racism…intolerance, when you let those things out of the bottle, they don’t go back in the bottle that easily if they go back in at all; whether it’s a rise in hate crimes, people feeling they have license to speak and behave in ways that previously were considered unAmerican and ARE unAmerican; that’s what he’s appealing to….The country feels very estranged, you feel very estranged from your countrymen…And he hasn’t even taken office yet…And if you also look at who he’s been picking for his cabinet, it doesn’t speak very well for what’s coming up. You know, those are all things that I’m very frightened of and waiting to see play out, and all you can do is say well I’m going to do my best to…hey America is still America, I believe in its ideals, and I’m going to do my best to play my very very small part in maintaining those ideals.”

On Obama’s worst day, he’s still better than Trump on his best day. Obama tries to better himself as a man and leader. Trump is a pathetic bully who never will grow up because he’s a spoiled brat who has been coddled his entire life.

You know, it’s interesting to think about when it comes to Republican presidents. With the exception of Reagan and Dole, every Republican nominee in my lifetime has been a product of the elite. Now granted H.W Bush while definitely an elite is someone who I think unlike Trump didn’t take anything for granted. Meanwhile pretty much every Democrat exempting Kerry has been from a fairly modest background.

We love elite athletes, unless they’re asking for a larger slice of the pie that is bought by their talent and the risk of their future health, or they have opinions on police shooting black people.

The funny thing about people bitching about how much athletes make is that they don’t bitch about the profits flowing to the owners, yet they turn on the TV or go to the stadium to watch the athletes perform, not to watch the team owners own.
