White Supremacist Jared Taylor Announces Ann Coulter Is Now Writing for His Hate Site

In 2017, racism is back in style
Politics • Views: 54,855

Far right pundit/loon Ann Coulter has often played the role of apologist for white supremacism, whether through race-baiting or with outright excuse-making for white supremacist websites.

But now, in the era of the Trump Horror, when white supremacism is an integral part of the incoming presidential administration, Ann Coulter is no longer making even a token effort to hide it. Today Jared Taylor, founder of American Renaissance, one of the most popular long-running “white nationalist” websites (and that’s in scare quotes because “white nationalist” is really just white supremacism with a slightly less offensive name) announced that Ann Coulter’s columns will now be appearing next to their articles on eugenics, black crime, and the inherent superiority of the master race.

In the era of the Trump Horror, all the masks are dropping.

Well Ann’s moving up in the world. She helped make a President and she just got her robes but they were Klan robes. It’s been obvious to anyone who actually listens and reads what Ann Coulter says that she’s a racist woman who believes a very limited amount of people should be able to participate in our democratic process. I really wish the media would have ignored her years ago and she would just be another bigoted right wing kook but here we are.

Myron Falwell  Jan 12, 2017 • 8:59:14pm

She shouldn’t have been ignored. She should have been metaphorically tarred and feathered in the public eye and prevented from spreading her filth. Instead MSNBC, Salem Communications, Bill Maher, Matt Drudge, Lumpy, the entire RWNJ claptrap cabal… they normalized her long ago.

She could lead a mass-scale lynching on 5th Avenue dressed up in full Nazi regalia and it STILL wouldn’t cost Ann her (Salem) Townhall column or syndication deal with Creators Syndicate.

Yeah maybe ignored wasn’t the right word. She should have been marginalized not normalized. I don’t like Maher because he constantly defends her. Yes, Bill, she has a right to say what she says and we have every right to call her what she is, a hateful nutjob.

To be fair, I understand where he’s coming from regarding Maher, Maher is hostile to Muslims in a way many on the left aren’t. For me it’s that, his anti vaccine beliefs, and his berating any liberal critics of his friend Coulter. I don’t hate him and I agree he makes some good points but I find him smug and obnoxious myself. He’s of course better than Coulter.

Hunter S. Thompson rode in the back of a limo with Richard Nixon from New Hampshire to Boston.

Hunter S. Thompson, the creator of Gonzo Journalism, was chosen to ride with his self-described nemesis Richard Nixon during the 1968 election. The reason? Nixon felt like talking football, and Thompson was the only journalist who knew anything about the sport.

### The Good Doctor’s recollection of that car ride:

“Actually, I suspected he didn’t know football from pig-hustling and that he mentioned it from time to time only because his wizards had told him it would make him seem like a regular guy. But I was wrong. Nixon knows pro football. He’d taken Oakland and six points in the Super Bowl, he said, because Vince Lombardi had told him up in Green Bay that the AFL was much stronger than the sportswriters claimed. Nixon cited Oakland’s sustained drive in the second half as evidence of their superiority over the Kansas City team that had challenged the Packers in 1967 and had totally collapsed in the second half. ‘Oakland didn’t fold up,’ he said. ‘That second half drive had Lombardi worried.’ I remembered it, and mentioned the scoring play - a sideline pass to an unknown receiver named Bill Miller.

Nixon hesitated for a moment, then smiled broadly and slapped me on the leg. ‘That’s right,’ he said. ‘Yes, the Miami boy.’ I couldn’t believe it; he not only knew Miller, but he knew what college he’d played for. It wasn’t his factual knowledge of football that stunned me; it was his genuine interest in the game. ‘You know,’ he said, ‘the worst thing about campaigning, for me, is that it ruins my whole football season. I’m a sports buff, you know. If I had another career, I’d be a sportscaster - or a sportswriter.’
I smiled and lit a cigarette. The scene was so unreal that I felt like laughing out loud - to find myself zipping along a New England freeway in a big yellow car, being chauffeured around by a detective while I relaxed in the back seat and talked about football with my old buddy Dick Nixon, the man who came within 100,000 votes of causing me to flee the country in 1960.”

Funny story about Rudy but when I told my Dad he was being vetted for a cabinet spot, he freaked. My Dad flat out dislikes Rudy in particular and I had no idea. I mean I dislike him too obviously but it was surprising to hear Dad rant about that. Giuliani would have been as bad as Sessions for AG and as Tillerson for State.

Well put. I have been saying for some time that he won’t last two years. I see one of three scenarios: genuine illness; fake or exaggerated illness in the face of possible impeachment or bankruptcy; impeachment and removal. The last is, I think, the least likely because he’d see himself as “doing a deal” to avoid trial by faking illness. The first seems possible, but he doesn’t really give a shit so the traditional presidential stress may not apply. So my money is on the first, the most chaotic one.

I often do think I am in the worst possible spot.

My Autism is so mild that I am almost normal, but not quite normal enough to be able to be able function normally, so I am often lonely.

This is my big frustration with the Dallas Muslim Community. They have a stereotype for what Autism is, and they think they know what that means in regards to help and what my life will be.

All I want is friends in one case, and matrimonial assistance. I would still need the matrimonial assistance if I wasn’t autistic. And I have no idea how to get through to them what I need.

Yeah our autism impacts us similarly. I often feel lonely and misunderstood too. I feel overwhelmed by it in the sense that I feel I’ll never truly fit into society and I definitely feel lonely in regards to finding a SO. I mean it’s difficult and far from easy. Solo sports is the only way to go in my mind. Maybe that’s because my father was a wrestling coach for 30 years and as soon as I was big enough (seven years old or thereabouts) my dad put me in the pee wee wrestling league.

I did okay, got to travel to some big meets, including the pee wee league state championships in Denver (I was nine when that happened).

I quit wrestling right before I hit puberty. I was having way more fun skiing by that time.

I’m glad my father did what he did way back when, wrestling instilled a solo mentality with sports, exercise, and strength.

re: #58 Scottish Dragon

My son (of whom I posted pictures of our Warhammer game the other night) is autistic. Very high functioning, goes to regular classes in high school and some people don’t catch on right away that he is autistic…but the social thing is very real.

I am almost certainly undiagnosed Asbergers (or least it used to be called Asbergers until the umbrella term of ASD came around)) but I learned to mask it.

It can be tough for people like us. When I’ve had my depression spells, I always bemoaned being more highly functioning because I’m aware of my differences. I don’t tell everyone I meet I’m ASD. My boss knows but my coworkers and our clients certainly don’t.

I understand that on one hand.

On the other hand, it feels like Conservatives get away with a massive amount, and never get comeuppance. That’s where the need to punish comes from, in part, along with still remaining issues stemming from the Norway attacks. Seeing the live footage of the shooting really screwed me up.

My skill set was always more for the team sports. I think he likes the individual sports since he’s a bit of an introvert. Didn’t realize it as a kid but I realize now he’s by far the most of the three brothers and I’m actually the most extroverted even though I’m a little socially awkward.

I think what SD is saying is save your anger for those who deserve it. I feel ya about conservatives getting away with shit especially now but most people you’re interacting with no doubt were as horrified by Brevik’s act as you. I mean obviously if you deal with someone who likens that Norwegian Youth Labour Party to the Hitler youth, your anger is justified but don’t be angry just to be angry.

I’d stand up for my beliefs obviously but I wouldn’t go out of my way. And I know you can do that too. You got along good with DF until he beclowned himself which I guess I can see speaks to your frustration with conservatives. And I admit it can be tough knowing these people support and vote for policies that do hurt those we love.

Trump will go down at some point. He doesn’t have Nixon’s intelligence nor Reagan’s ability to make even political adversaries like him. When he goes down, it will be ugly.

We kept saying that all through the campaign, and all it took was a bad performance in a few primaries to knock him out. Now he is in the seat of power and it will take a lot more to remove him, and I do not see how those levers can be set in motion without a first some major national catastrophe.

I’m afraid a major national catastrophe could make Trump Hair Furor for real. His team could convince him to demand emergency powers from Congress, which the GOP majority would probably grant — you know, like just for now (they’d think) — and somehow that national emergency would never go away, and we’d be stuck with Trump & Co. forever.

Any national disaster has to obviously be Trump’s fault, so Congress would have grounds for impeachment. An external source — terror attack, earthquake, etc. — could be used to Trump’s advantage.

I wish I could say I’m just spitting into the wind here.

Putin won the last battle of the cold war on November 8.

It’s not done yet. It might have been a Russian victory, but it only looks so daunting now because their inside man was so weak. The temptation to say that the powers of evil are insurmountable because their tools were ingeniously simple and their agent so obviously and abysmally awful is understandable. A terrible frailty in the American democratic system has also been exposed, but autocratic systems of power rise and fall. The psychological multiplier of this defeat is that Earth itself, is at a tipping point. That has been the major source of my darkest feelings of apathy.
Trump may do a lot of damage, but I have to have faith in the American people. In America’s institutions.
Without that faith, I’d have given up on day one.
Putin will live to see his precious plot fall apart.
One day, America will be free of this horror and one day, Russia too, will be free.
We might not see it, but hope is all we really have.

I do not like using Cold War terminology or analogies. Those ended with the demise of the USSR.

Putin’s plans are different: he wants to restore the Russian Empire and its sphere of influence.

But this is nonetheless Russia’s greatest political coup: they have turned America into a totally dysfunctional state and can go off and pursue their own agenda without any significant interference on our part.

All right, the writer at the link is including contributions to the peacekeeping budget, which had a $7.87B budget for FY2017, and the US share of that was 28.57%. un.org

Democrats. And the press. So unfair. So bitter. So awful. Bigly.

Trump approval ratings keep cratering even before the inauguration, and there’s no sign they’ll improve either. He’s done nothing to indicate otherwise. Not that his supporters or the GOP care - they’ll get their regressive agenda implemented, including rolling back decades of progress. I’m just not quite sure how far back they’ll go - 1950s or the 1850s. Because that’s exactly the policies that they’re championing.

Know who’ll be hurt the most - the Trump twits who hate Obamacare but like their ACA. Or the useful idiots who claimed that Obamacare made health care worse, and will now return us to the days of medical bankruptcies for patients saddled with costs because they’re uninsurable and hospitals going bankrupt because they cant’ get reimbursed for services. We’ll also see an increase of homelessness and mentally ill people getting sucked into the criminal justice system because they aren’t getting medical care they need to keep their conditions in check, so it adds yet more costs to society.

I have to think that there are some in the Republican party ‘leadership’ who, as much as they would like to impeach Trump and install Pence as their Christian savior and king, are scared shitless of Trump’s low IQ supporters come election time. Seriously, they are screwed if they leave him in office as he’s going to end up blowing shit up and if they impeach him they may kill their careers. Hmmm, save the nation or risk their careers? Being that they are Kraven Kowardly Konservatives, we all know that they sure as Hell aren’t going to risk their careers.

That is why they could not bring themselves to Dump Trump back when they did not need Constitutional authority to do so.

And those voters really do not like the GOP: they voted GOP downticket, as far as I can tell, because the GOP was willing to line up behind Trump and present itself as the party of plucky insurgents standing up to the Evil Empire, but if GOP turns on Trump and goes all “establishment” on him, they will be seen as part of the same.

Trump will never take responsibility for any failure on his part, it’s not in his nature to do so. Instead, he is surrounding himself with his controversial cast for his new series, The Apprentice President. The premise of this show is for his cast to be so outrageous that people will just have to tune in every single day to see who failed at what and if they will be replaced with a new, exciting cast member! Fox News will be carrying the show and they are looking forward to the advertising revenues that the high ratings for show are going to bring them. The star of the show will never be responsible for anything that goes wrong because he will have canned and replaced the person who failed so problem solved!

Seriously, Trump will never admit failure because he never fails, it’s always everyone else that fails him and tries to make him look bad. Much like conservatism can never fail, it can only be failed.

An artist friend of mine seems to have lost everyone whom she was following practically overnight, and it looks to have been a pure glitch (there is no reason why she would unfollow close to 800 people). In a Jan. 4 letter to the president-elect, McConnell said Trump “inspired the American people with your vision of less regulation, free and fair competition and enhanced job opportunities.” McConnell said he personally appreciated Trump’s public commitment to “provide relief for coal communities” such as Kentucky, the state that is the third-largest producer of coal in the U.S.

McConnell’s letter decried what he and other Republicans describe as Obama’s “war on coal,” a series of regulations that the GOP says has made coal more expensive to mine, transport and use for energy production.

U.S. coal production has declined sharply in recent years amid stiff competition from cheap, easy-to-produce natural gas. But McConnell said those who attribute coal’s decline simply to low gas prices “are not seeing the full picture,” which he said includes costly federal regulations that place an unfair burden on coal.

McConnell called the stream-protection rule “a direct assault on coal mining operations” that “must be stopped.” He pledged to use the rarely invoked Congressional Review Act to overturn the stream rule and asked for Trump’s support in that effort.

good fucking grief.

#GOPDontCare:

Only 18% in that poll want full repeal (and I have no doubt they have no clue what that actually means). So, while a higher percentage want repeals of some parts (again, doubt they know what the hell that actually entails or the consequences of same), the GOP is running 100% towards a full repeal of the ACA with little actual support outside their bubble for this BS.

Oh, and no replacement. #GOPDontCare

This isn’t to say that Obamacare/ACA isn’t flawed. There are flaws - as with any program. But you don’t repeal a law just because there are flaws. You fix the flaws, not burn down the whole structure. But that’s not what these GOP saboteurs are after. They’re about tearing down the entire safety net so that a privileged few can get even wealthier.

#GOPDontCare about what the consequences are to families dealing with serious illnesses or accidents. We have people here at LGF who’d be denied coverage because of preexisting conditions (or family histories of conditions). Heck, it’s possible that with genetic testing, you’d find insurers denying coverage or charging higher premiums because someone might have a genetic marker for an ailment that occurs 50-70 years down the road.

#GOPDontCare. It’s not just their health care plan, but it’s their plan for everything. Screw the environment and screw clean water and air. Screw the safety net that helps people make ends meet.

The GOP is so pro life that their policies kill. That’s what happens if the ACA is repealed. People will die from lack of care (estimated at 40k per year would die needlessly from lack/delayed care). People will needlessly die from exposure to pollutants allowed by the rollback of environmental protection. #GOPDontCare

Considering how many people are killed in this country by guns and car accidents, it’ll take a pretty good number for it to rise above the noise. //

Realistically, though, there’s a difference between there and here: Even amongst the engaged people, there are more people against Trump than supporting him. And while I’m annoyed at independents for how a lot of them seemed to have voted, I don’t think they’re going to take too kindly to a lot of the tactics.

I’ll tell you what the GOP cares about. An average $7 million tax cut each for the 400 richest Americans that Obamacare repeal will allow.

re: #45 petesh

It’s going to be a circus with not a lot of bread.

I don’t see Trump being willing to go the second route. His bankruptcies were always about saving/maintaining his status, he’d come out unscathed and look like a winner. There’s no way that he could pull that off in a threatened impeachment - especially with his bullshit I NEVER SETTLE CASES!!!111! line. To fake an illness and resign is essentially taking a plea deal, The Donald would never go along with that. He will fight to the bitter end, 140 characters at a time.

That’s a good question, and I don’t know. My guess is Ryan probably requested coverage and CNN figured it was an easy way to generate ratings on a live event. My second guess is that in 2009, the Dems were deferring to Obama as the newly elected president as the face for their policies. The GOP in 2017 apparently still doesn’t trust Trump, so they’re running Ryan out there.

I’m wondering what Comey said to provoke this reaction

A number of House Democrats left Friday’s confidential briefing on Russian hacking fuming over the actions of FBI Director James Comey and convinced he’s unfit to lead the agency.

“I was non-judgmental until the last 15 minutes. I no longer have that confidence in him,” Rep. Tim Walz (D-Minn.), ranking member of the Veterans Affairs Committee, said as he left the meeting in the Capitol.

“Some of the things that were revealed in this classified briefing — my confidence has been shook.”

Rep. Elijah Cummings (Md.), senior Democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, delivered a similar condemnation.

“I’m extremely concerned — extremely,” he said.

“I’ll just — I’m very angry,” echoed Rep. Mark Takano (D-Calif.).

The World’s Greatest Healthcare Plan

For the past 18 months Congressman Sessions has worked with Senator Cassidy and Dr. John Goodman, doctors and healthcare providers, and hundreds of business owners in North Texas and across the country to discuss ways that we can improve and reform the unsustainable policies in ObamaCare. H.R. 5284 The World’s Greatest Healthcare Plan isn’t full of onerous regulations, unnecessary mandates, or discriminatory policies. This bill empowers all Americans to make their own healthcare choices, save money in an account that is not use-it-or-lose-it, and ensures that not one person will be forced onto ObamaCare.

Under this bill, every American citizen is eligible to claim a $2,500 tax benefit as well as a $1,500 tax benefit per dependent minor. This benefit can be assigned to an employer, transferred to a Roth Health Savings Account, or advanced for annual distribution. With this benefit, individuals and families have the freedom to use their tax benefit to plan and save for their health care futures.

This plan offers a unique, free-marketplace alternative that unleashes doctors, patients, and all individuals from the constraints of ObamaCare, and gives them the opportunity to be in charge of their own healthcare. This is more than a bill- it is a solution that will provide an affordable, predictable, competitive marketplace that will create a healthier society and a stronger economy.

Texas GOPER’s “health plan”.

something like that…the point is, once you are charged, there is no going back.

was just reading about how Hermann Göring conspired to get the popular and respected head of the German Army, Werner Fritsch, expelled on trumped-up charges of homosexuality in 1938, to further cement Nazi control over the armed forces

A cursory check showed that it actually involved another person entirely, namely a Colonel Fritsch, but the General was never reinstated…

That is a lesson in the power of the Big Smear.

General Fritsch did, however, return to the army, commanding a division, and proceeded to get himself killed in the early days of the invasion of Poland by standing up into a burst of enemy machine-gun fire.

Most people in the US don’t have enough savings for retirement. That’s even with mandatory 401ks and SS payments.

Now the GOP thinks that HSAs are going to fix health care? #GOPDontCare that you can’t save for a medical contingency. An HSA helps only those who have capacity to save, or are already saving money elsewhere and can shift money into this tax benefit account for later. It does nothing to help someone making minimum wage should they have to go to the ER, let alone the middle class family who’s income earner gets diagnosed with cancer or their kid falls and breaks a bone requiring surgery.

Same here.

Speaking of Sid, when I was last in the USA, back in 2008, I was visiting with a friend and her son walked in. Her son was now 19 years old, really tall, and when he turned to face me, I spit coffee out my nose because in that intervening 12 years since I’d last see him, he’d grown into an absolute doppelgänger for Sid Vicious. To say the resemblance was uncanny is an understatement.

I said to my friend, “J___________, you do know that T_____ looks identical to Sid Vicious, don’t you?”

She didn’t believe me until I used her computer to show her photos of Sid from the height of his fame with the Sex Pistols.

On another note, I have a former student here who’s a dead ringer for Gwyneth Paltrow, and a new student who’s joined my classes - and who I met today for the first time - is pretty much Scarlett Johansson’s twin sister.

Team Trump’s efforts seem intended to both damage the credibility of CNN and cow other networks into shying away from similarly critical journalism — as Gingrich put it, to “shrink and isolate” the network. But the Fox News contributor wants the incoming administration to go even further and use the incident as an excuse to “close down the elite press.”

Gingrich laid out this strategy during an interview on Sean Hannity’s Fox News program, one of the most pro-Trump venues available. He urged Spicer to learn “a couple of big lessons” from the incident. First and foremost, he suggested that Acosta be banned from reporting on Trump events for 60 days “as a signal, frankly, to all the other reporters that there are going to be real limits” for proper behavior.

But Gingrich’s recommendations went far beyond chastising Acosta. He urged Trump to stop prioritizing questions from major news outlets due to their tough coverage and confrontational attitude. Instead, he suggested that he “extend the privileges to reporters from out of town, folks that fly in from all over the country to be allowed to be at a briefing.” Those reporters, Gingrich suggested, would be “a lot more courteous” and “responsible” rather than being “adversarial.”

Gingrich went on to explain his theory of the press under the Trump administration. “You don’t have to think of The New York Times or CNN or any of these people as news organizations,” he explained. “They’re mostly propaganda organizations. And they’re going to be after Trump every single day of his presidency.”

The relationship between the press and the government is SUPPOSED TO BE adversarial. Press conferences are SUPPOSED TO BE tough. Questions unanswered, or answered with bullshit are SUPPOSED TO BE followed up, till the question IS answered. The press is SUPPOSED TO dig into the corners officials don’t want them to.

more:

Alexey Kovalev, a Russian journalist who has covered Vladimir Putin’s annual press conferences, warned of the use of such tactics in a searing “message to my doomed colleagues in the American media” that he authored following Trump’s press conference.

“A mainstay of Putin’s press conferences is, of course, softball questions,” Kovalev wrote. These include both “hyperlocal issues that a president isn’t even supposed to be dealing with,” which nonetheless provide “a real opportunity for him to shine.” Putin also benefits from “people from publications that exist for no other reason than heaping fawning praise on him and attacking his enemies.”

“But there will also be one token critic who will be allowed to ask a ‘sharp’ question,” Kovalev added, “only to be drowned in a copious amount of bullshit, and the man on the stage will always be the winner (‘See? I respect the media and free speech’).”

What really started me reading were collections of Peanuts comics, collected in paperback anthologies. Of course, there were a lot of words I didn’t understand, so my mom would make me take the time to go look them up in the dictionary.

Then I was about seven, I was at a garage sale and there was this old book, an anthology of “frightful and weird stories”. It was about 10 cents, IIRC. And what hooked my seven-year old imagination were the following words:

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

So I owe it all to Charles Schulz and H.P. Lovecraft. Two very different men from very different times and different outlooks on life, yet both were deeply influential in shaping me.

FORT KNOX, Ky. — Kentucky residents soon may need a passport to enter Fort Knox.

The News-Enterprise of Elizabethtown reports Kentucky licenses and state-issued IDs don’t meet minimum security standards established by the 2005 Real ID Act. Fort Knox issued a statement saying that beginning Jan. 30, the post will no longer accept a license from Kentucky and eight other non-compliant states.

Most people entering the post regularly won’t be affected, as an approved U.S. military ID is an acceptable alternative.

State Rep. Jim DuPlessis is co-sponsor of House Bill 77, which would make Kentucky licenses in compliance with Real ID. The bill will not be up for consideration before Fort Knox changes its admission policy, so DuPlessis recommends frequent visitors to obtain an installation entry pass before changes go into effect.

How you gonna ban a reporter from reporting? I doubt even Scalia would give that a pass.

Honestly, it’s been my observation that the very toughest questions tend to come from small-town, non-Beltway reporters. They have more to prove, while the Beltway kids are the ones asking softball questions so they can get better access.

I agree with both of these statements. I know I am particularly critical of the media when they kowtow to the yam and his minions and when they use weasel words and mbf tactics to avoid sounding partisan, but I am for fighting to keep the press free and for encouraging them to commit actual journalism.

At that “press conference,” they should have demanded that he answer Acosta’s question before moving on or they should have walked out. We need to encourage the press to do the right thing—they need to be on the front line of defending the 1st amendment.

Supporting people like Fahrenthold and Eichenberg is a start. But the profusion of slime like Conway and Gingrich and Lord and all the rest of the idiots that the msm parade out nightly, and their habit of chasing bright, shiny objects instead of actual news makes me really scared about what’s to come.

I got some samples of treat from our pet food store last year, and one night we had friends over. We were sitting outside on the deck, and Scout was inside, going crazy because he wanted out. I went inside and gave him one of the new treats. After about 5 minutes, it got quiet inside. Too quiet. I went back inside to investigate.

There was Scout, splay-legged on the living room floor. It was only later when my wife read the ingredients that we learned we’d gotten our puppy stoned.

Haven’t been able to get those treats since, though.Too bad, they’d come in handy every so often.

My cattle dog has gotten into edibles twice and now seeks them out. He did it at Thanksgiving and the following Christmas. My mother in law could not understand why he was sick two holidays in a row.

After spending eight years claiming Obama wasn’t legitimate, the Right will go apeshit over Lewis’ statement.
