White Supremacist Chuck C. Johnson’s “Wesearchr” Scam Site Suspended From Twitter

Yet another suspension for the Rage Furby
Wingnuts • Views: 75,467

Poor Rage Furby. Chuck C. Johnson just can’t seem to keep his social media accounts online. This might be because he keeps using them for scummy, vile purposes like outing and harassment, and promoting the neo-Nazis he hangs out with.

And now the “Wesearchr” extortion/harassment scam site he created with fellow racist Pax Dickinson to bilk gullible right wingers has lost its Twitter account, @wesearchr. (If you click that link you’ll see the “Suspended” message.)

The Wesearchr site runs “bounties” designed to exploit far right conspiracy theories and target opponents of Donald Trump, asking the right wing marks in their target audience to contribute money to find things like Megyn Kelly’s divorce records or Hillary Clinton’s medical records. But the apparent last straw for Twitter was their “bounty” asking people to help expose the identity of the man who punched Nazi dirtbag Richard Spencer a couple of days ago, shown in this now-infamous video clip.

MP4 Video

I don’t condone what this individual did — it’s assault, pure and simple — but when people like Chuck C. Johnson and Richard Spencer act like vigilantes and put a bounty on his head to expose his identity, they’re knowingly and deliberately placing his life in danger, and I condone that even less. This is a way for the “alt-right” crowd to seek revenge against their enemies, nothing more.

It was odd that Twitter let Wesearchr continue this kind of harassment for so long, when both Johnson and his crony Pax Dickinson had been permanently banned from the site long ago. But at least now they’ve done the right thing.

Meanwhile, Johnson is having fits of rage on his still-active Facebook account and threatening Twitter:

Only if it’s permanent. What are the odds that this turns out to be a temporary suspension, or that these neo Nazis try to get back on with yet more spam accounts (which itself is a TOS violation for trying to circumvent their bans).

Watching a Nazi get punched brings me joy, and yes, that is a criminal assault. Much like watching Buzz Aldrin punch out a moon landing conspiracy nut. There are some things that are worth it.

If anyone really thought that Donald Trump would somehow, finally, pivot toward becoming a sane, focused, responsible leader once he actually assumed the office of President of the United States, it took exactly one weekend to disabuse him or her of that notion. The first three days of the Trump presidency was nothing more than an extension of the Trump pre-presidency, which was nothing more than an extension of the Trump candidacy. It was an embarrassment of bullshit, an unapologetic and relentless assault on objective reality that showed genuine contempt for the American people and, particularly, the press whose constitutional responsibility it is to keep them informed. We’ve seen politicians and their mouthpieces lie to us before. We’ve never in the modern history of politics seen the kind of blatant gaslighting, the complete disregard of easily verifiable fact, attempted in just the opening 72 hours of the Trump White House. As many have correctly noted, Trump and his people don’t spin — they go full Orwell.

The Nazis here think they have a man in power in Trump, and I think they’re partially right. Since they have a foothold, I will not let them gain any more power. I will argue and yell at them if I see them. I personally will only punch one if I see him doing something to someone else or if I need to defend myself. But the fact that Spencer needs a safe space: Good.

Bill Kintner criticized for retweet after Women’s March, says his action was ‘misconstrued’ - Omaha World-Herald

The tweet in question was originally sent by a radio talk-show host, and contained a picture of women holding signs referencing Trump’s “grab ‘em by the pussy” quip at the Women’s March, accompanied by the message “ladies, I think you’re safe”.

I wanted to post this earlier today but I ran a bunch of errands after work. Do this if you still have time. I found out that you can get postcards with ‘forever’ postage at USPS for 38 cent apiece, which is cheaper than regular mail and won’t have to be screened for toxins. I bought a couple dozen of them and I’m taking them to the MSP post office tonight. I’m sending one to Trump and one to Ryan. I hope a lot of people did this. I saw it this morning on Balloon Juice and a lot of commenters said they were going to do it.

The Republicans need to get the message from the majority of Americans that we value and need the benefits of Obamacare. Here’s how we do that.

On January 23rd [TODAY] everyone who feels that way (our numbers are legion) sends a note to Donald Trump with a simple message:

“Don’t make America sick again. Improve Obamacare. Don’t repeal it.”

One envelope for every ACA supporter in your household…even if they are under 18 years old.
Just that simple message. Put it in an envelope, and put a stamp on it.

On January 23rd, mail it to:
Pres. Donald Trump
1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW,
Washington, DC 20500

Can you imagine the picture of 53 MILLION letters arriving at the White House by January 26th? It will be a mountain. That image might help deter the Republicans from killing the most substantial improvement to American healthcare since the discovery of Penicillin.

Do it today! Drop it into a mailbox near you on Monday, January 23rd.

Please send this email to 20 (or more) of your friends, neighbors and fellow Americans. Ask them to do the same.

Posted this last night, the article I’m referring to was by an Arab-American woman from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania who wrote a great article on how non-European Americans like her are left out of the conversation when politicians talk about the Rust Belt.
“I think this is an interesting read. I didn’t grow up in the rust belt, no far from it but I visited my mom’s parents hometown of Johnstown a lot as a kid and my mom’s parents definitely shaped me. I genuinely do get the frustration felt in these areas. When my grandparents were kids in the years leading up to WWII, their town was bustling. I just don’t think we can use economic disappointment as an excuse for resentment of those different from us. And as an American of many unique ethnic backgrounds, I must say I have empathy not fear of today’s immigrants. They and their families are doing the same thing my family did when they came from Ireland, Germany, Czechoslovakia, and Yugoslavia. Sure they may struggle with our language but they want to be here. They quite honestly I think appreciate our country in a way that a native son like myself can never appreciate his country. I don’t think everyone who voted for Trump is a bigot but I really do think xenophobia won out. I’m proud to say I grew up in a diverse area. I played Little League with kids whose parents were born in other countries, attended school with people from all over the world, have called many people friend who come from a much different background than me. We were united in our own way whether it was our common ground as Americans, desire to win on the baseball field or basketball court, or having the same interests. And right now I’m a proud uncle of a little girl who is the first American born person in her mother’s immediate family. Let’s embrace our differences not fear them. It can be something as simple as trying a new food or simply listening to the experiences of someone who comes tom a different place “

Yes. I have 38 years in with Social Security. Now H&R Block says they want to get into the Social Security administrative business. And Trump lets them…

Soon if you have to transact Social Security business, you will go to the nearest H&R Block office, pay $500 for a Social Security Card. If you want to file a claim, Block will charge you $1,000 for a Retirement claim, $1,500 for a survivor claim, $3,000 for a Disability claim. And since Trump and the GOP want to privatize Social Security, Block offers 6 different funds for you to invest in. Oh and did they tell you about the 25% in Administrative fees they charge every year like they did in Chile under the Chicago Boys?

I’ve never known anyone who says “I’m going to join the federal government to get rich.” Yes its stability appealed to me when I’ve applied for federal jobs but I wasn’t doing it for enrichment if I wanted enrichment, I’d be a dickhead economics or business major only thinking of how I could get rich fast rather than how I could use my skill-set to help people.

I’ve always found the right’s double take on greed funny though. People making minimum wage who want better pay are greedy. Union workers are greedy. But that CEO who gives himself a healthy bonus even while his company isn’t performing? He’s a job creator, he deserves any raise he gets! Not to mention the Republicans in Congress have never had an opportunity to give themselves their own raise that they haven’t liked.

Trump’s Health Plan Would Convert Medicaid to Block Grants, Aide Says

If Congress decides to create block grants for Medicaid, lawmakers will face thorny questions with huge political and financial implications: How much money will each state receive? How will the initial allotments be adjusted — for population changes, for general inflation, for increases in medical prices, for the discovery of new drugs and treatments? Will the federal government require states to cover certain populations and services? Will states receive extra money if they have not expanded Medicaid eligibility under the Affordable Care Act, but decide to do so in the future?

My guess?

Block grants would be a great way to allocate money to “loyal regions”—particularly if the criteria for allotment are opaque.

Full throttle towards cronyism.

And that is the idea, strangle the system through a lack of funding. How do you strangle the funding without making obvious cuts? You turn it into a lump sum that a state can use however it chooses. So states that want to actually take care of their citizens are short-changed while those that don’t give a fuck use the money to spackle over the budgetary sinkholes created through their “trickle down” policies.

This is a big reason why I’m not a Republican anymore. The party is hostile towards people with disabilities like me. Allowing insurance companies to opt out of covering durable medical equipment could end up being disastrous for PWDs. That includes things as basic as wheelchairs and toileting chairs. And the companies that sell those products are often monopolies that feel no qualms about price gouging their clients. PWDs already suffer the most economically of any demographic, and shit like this will only make things worse.

There was a family legend- since disproved in my research that my grandfather had older siblings that were twins that died in the Pandemic. However, what is true that my great grandfather’s first wife died of TB as did her sister. Kind of haunting since if she hadn’t died, I wouldn’t be here. That’s life though. I guess the point is we take our collective good health for granted and are blessed we haven’t experienced what our ancestors did.

Yep wingnuts who shit on federal employees are totally oblivious to the fact that so many vets are federal employees.

Feature, not a bug…so-called “patriotic” conservatives only support the troops until it’s no longer politically expedient for them. Once they can no longer serve because they got maimed or disabled for life (or just don’t re-up because they’ve had enough), veterans become a burden on American society, “takers”, if you will. And if they go into federal employment, the conservative bullseye gets painted on them twice.

It’s fucking bullshit.

That’s rather my view on the situation, as bad as I may feel for her, she walked into this relationship willingly. If she can prove that she was coerced into signing the prenup, then it’s invalidated. But she knows she can’t, she signed it because Don promised her money and fame, and now she’s gotta deal with the baggage that came with it.

I have traveled there, but I’m not familiar with Harrison’s books. Any recommendations? I’ve been on a kick reading Irish authors.

Harrison wrote a mystery series called the “Burren Mysteries” about a female brehon (judge and investigator) in 16th century Ireland. I think her most recent is her last, but I have really enjoyed them. (I’m also a fan of Peter Tremayne’s “Sister Fidelma” series set in IIRC, 7th century Ireland.)

Republicans file bill to end US membership in the United Nations, and revoke diplomatic immunity for all UN diplomats.

Rep. Mike Rogers (R-AL3) filed the bill.

Without immunity, the UN would be forced to relocate outside the USA.

I suspect that bill will work well right up until an American diplomat gets arrested somewhere else (assuming we have US diplomats), then watch the conservative whigning start.

Say hello to American leaders getting tried for war crimes until the end of the century

What a piece of work.

Bill Kitner is a real piece of work in this state, a true family-values conservative. A scandal he was involved in last year provoked calls for his resignation or impeachment (which didn’t go anywhere because conservative Unicameral).

Details behind the privacy bar of the scandal (short and yeah he’s that bad):

Lord is pretending the dry cleaner is “threatened by bleeding dye from cheap foreign clothing” when the entire country is wearing clothing made in China, Bangladesh, Mexico, Viet Nam, etc. because it’s more profitable for the retailer.

And any halfway competent dry cleaner can tell the difference between colorfast and non-colorfast cloth.

Much of what has tanked the dry cleaning business is the same as other advances in technology: It is slowly being rendered obsolete by newer technology in fabric manufacture.

There will always be some clothes and cloth that require dry cleaning, but the majority is now Permanent Press. Blame American manufacturers for inventing that.

This is what tanked dry cleaners:

1) Casual dress at work

2) Home steam cleaning dryers (for those who still dry clean but could afford one - soon to be pretty much anyone buying a new dryer)

3) Cheap clothes that you replace and don’t clean. Washing fades colors. Dry cleaning doesn’t.

4) Telecomuting. No one dresses to sit at home in front of the computer. (I don’t! I live in nightgowns which we jokingly refer to as my work clothes.)

5) Cost. $4.00 to clean a shirt vs $10 to replace it.

Not really. It’s relatively new, but remember how Peter Thiel financed Hulk Hogan’s lawsuit against Gawker? I’m pretty sure his reimbursement terms were more than a simple payback of legal fees, that he got a percentage of Hogan’s award too.

The problem in Chuck’s case is that any suit he files is both weak and hypothetically susceptible to a civil rights based counter suit, meaning his investors could also be signing up for the risk of vicarious liability and stand to lose more than just their investment.
