Weird thing: Alan lived to be 66.

He was also the last announcer at 66WNBC in New York, which signed off for good in October 1988 after 66 years of existence.

Nope. Ignoring the fact that that’s not how fascism is defined academically, Mussolini’s definition did not mean business corporations. Rather, the whole society was organized into professional castes - “corporations”. In no way is the US a corporate state in the fascist sense.

With Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State Exxon, and Trump’s clan still personally tied to corporations and stuff like DAPL, this is arguably a thuggery form of government that — if not fascism by definition — is still fucking bad.

McMaster is saying the right things and will win loyalty of his team, but faces numerous challenges. 2/

His Deputy KT McFarland—an ideologue w/little foreign policy experience—is a poor fit & doesn’t run a solid process. 3/

Most significantly, he will likely clash with Bannon and his minions (Miller, Gorka) especially on issues related to terrorism 4/

Have heard McMaster does not like the term “radical Islamic terrorist” because he considers the enemy un-Islamic. 5/

That puts him in line w/Mattis/Dunford & CT community, but directly at odds w/Bannon/Miller/Gorka worldview (which Trump also embraces) 6/

Can McMaster corral process & prevent Bannon from running a parallel unaccountable & uncoordinated set of plays that damage US security 7/

& can McMaster estab enough trust w/the Crazy-in-Chief to keep his crazy (& Bannon’s dark arts) within less-than-Republic-ending bounds? END

McMaster has a tough row to hoe. Bannon and Miller are not team players and figure they’re way smarter than anyone else. Bannon and Miller will be whispering in one of Trump’s ears and McMaster the other.

Republican politicians don’t actually care. What they care about is scaring their voters.

Note politicians aren’t citing evidence of crimes in bathrooms, they’re just asserting it. They conflate it with attacks on children, and men wandering around in girl’s showers, which has nothing at all to do with any of it.

It is no different than scaring people over immigrants, over equal rights for women and minorities, before that interracial marriage, &c &c.

It is a tool for fear, because conservatism really has nothing to offer to the progress of civilisation, and never has.

96
Stanley Sea  Feb 23, 2017 • 10:40:23pm

Top lawyers who helped the Obama White House craft and hold to rules of conduct believe President Donald Trump and his staff will break ethics norms meant to guard against politicization of the government — and they’ve formed a new group to prepare, and fight.

They started by submitting 50 Freedom of Information Act requests this week that they believe will confirm their suspicions. The plan is to bring what they find to reporters, build it into pressure for congressional oversight with the help of a campaign director they’ll hire, and, as necessary, to file lawsuits.

But at risk of him being incarcerated too?

One way to get rid of a close person is to raise the suggestion of an action, without actually ordering it, in the hopes that person will think it is a message/direction and go do it.

Then the easy way to deny one’s own culpability is to point that that one was simply analyzing possibilities.

Thus the actor is left out in the cold.

There is only one flag holiday for us in March: 150th anniversary of Admission Day for the State of Nebraska.

Amongst other things happening will be a special United States Postal Service Pony Express delivery to the state capitol building in Lincoln, along with events around the state.

He said that some of these people should also say “‘my life is not Christian, I don’t pay my employees proper salaries, I exploit people, I do dirty business, I launder money, (I lead) a double life’.”

Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) turns up, goes into hiding again:

LOL to the constituent that said “he was glad Rubio was okay” (referring to the Missing posters all over Miami)

MIAMI — With liberal-leaning protesters hot on his trail, Sen. Marco Rubio skipped raucous town halls that have bedeviled his Republican colleagues this week as he headed to Europe.

Here’s what Rubio kept under wraps: he quietly returned to his hometown of Miami on Wednesday night — only to run Thursday morning right into camera-wielding protesters who wondered why he was ducking the public.

First, a union activist found Rubio at a political science class he co-teaches at Florida International University, where Rubio couldn’t get away. In the second instance, at a hospital event that was closed to the press and public Thursday, the senator had a different reaction.

Rubio skedaddled.

“Senator, I thought you were in Europe?” the demonstrator asked Rubio in a video first posted by Miami New Times, which obtained the footage from a union member.

“What?” Rubio replied without breaking stride, prompting the young man to refer to “Missing” posters that activists have begun circulating about Florida’s junior senator.

“I saw all these missing child posters all over town,” the unidentified man asked. “Are you going to host a town hall? I’m glad you’re ok.”

It pains me to see both Republican politicians and the media refer to folk at GOP town halls as “protesters” or worse, “liberal activists.”

The correct terms are “constituents” or “voters.”

The terms in the first sentence frames the context as GOP reps only represent Republican voters (which is exactly what my own rep at least admits openly).

The press needs to quit referring to liberals by those terms, but I am in no position to do anything about it (even my local paper refuses now to print my letters because I am a liberal).

Survey in my regional newspaper: Do you think your representative should conduct town halls? (The paper covers two representatives’ districts: Adrian Smith-R-NE3 and Liz Cheney-R-WY).

The poll is running nearly 90% yes. Neither representative is planning a town hall, so apparently George Soros is fixing the Scottsbluff Star-Herald’s poll with paid poll-takers (wait, the Star-Herald only allows subscribers to answer its polls).

Law Professors File Professional Misconduct Complaint Against Kellyanne Conway. (I’m guessing it won’t go anywhere, though.)
washingtonpost.com

(More at the Post):

A group of law professors from around the country has filed a professional misconduct complaint against White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, a graduate of George Washington University Law School who was admitted to the D.C. Bar in 1995.

The letter, filed with the office that handles misconduct by members of the D.C. Bar, said Conway should be sanctioned for violating government ethics rules and “conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation,” the letter says.

The 15 professors, who specialize in legal ethics, cite several incidents, including a television interview in which Conway made the “false statement that President Barack Obama had ‘banned’ Iraqi refugees from coming into the United States for six months following the ‘Bowling Green Massacre,’ ” and the use of her position to endorse Ivanka Trump products.

Rolling Stone delves into that CBP check of passengers’ IDs.

rollingstone.com

Short version: CBP could not provide a reason why they could legally check passengers from a domestic flight. And the NYCLU says US citizens have the right to remain silent, implying the passengers would be within their rights to refuse to show their IDs in order to disembark.

Also, the person the CBP was supposedly looking for was not on the plane.

I am wondering if the Trump operatives at ICE and CBP are trying to anesthetize citizens against protesting such infractions of their constitutional rights, so that we get used to a police state.

The GOP has spent 8 years fighting Obamacare and claiming that they have a plan. That was always a lie. They always claimed that repealing Obamacare would benefit Americans. That too was a lie.

Everything that the GOP uttered (and is still uttering about Obamacare - the ACA for those idiots who don’t realize they’re the same thing) is a lie. They claim that it’s in a death spiral - it isn’t. They claim that it’s made things more expensive - it hasn’t. They claim that it killed jobs - it did the opposite.

But what little we’ve seen of GOP alternatives is that it would:

1) kill jobs - millions of them in fact as the CBO and others warn if ACA is repealed with no alternatives
2) increases medically induced bankruptcies (and hospitals face insolvency once again)
3) covers fewer people
4) covers less medically
5) costs more.

So recap: The GOP alternative to the “horrible and freedom-killing” Obamacare is a plan that costs more, covers less, and gives insurers the freedom to fuck over their insureds with higher costs, less coverage, and exposes more people to medically induced bankruptcies.

In other words, the GOP have vaporware/malware and the CBO called them on it with a horrific scoring of their plan.

The small black pouch left behind in a Virginia General Assembly conference room last week looked like it could’ve been a wallet.

But when a state senator picked it up to try to identify its owner, she didn’t find a driver’s license and credit cards. She found a gun.

The handgun’s owner — state Sen. John A. Cosgrove Jr., R-Chesapeake — had been in the fifth-floor meeting room last Monday to pitch a bill on vehicle safety inspections to a House of Delegates subcommittee on transportation.

No one is harmed by more options on the market (though have fun if the seal breaks in the middle of a board meeting), but Dopps seems to be confused about just what having a period is like. According to Forbes, Dopps responded to a Facebook commenter questioning the product by saying “[Y]ou as a woman should have come up with a better solution than diapers and plugs, but you didn’t. Reason being women are focused on and distracted by your period 25% of the time, making them far less productive than they could be.”

We’ve discussed this before, but HSAs help only those who have the ability to save considerable sums. They don’t help anyone the moment they have any kind of serious medical expense - like say a hospitalization or ER care for a broken bone, let alone an ongoing ailment or condition. Americans don’t save enough money as it is, so to claim that HSAs will be the saving grace is baffling BS that doesn’t pass the smell test.

Individual mandate replaced with individual responsibility - that’s the individual fucking mandate. That’s the whole fucking point of the individual mandate - to put the responsibility on the person to be insured. The entire concept was derived from the GOP answer to Hillarycare in the 1990s, and was created by Heritage Foundation. But magical thinking will somehow transform individual responsibility into coverage to address any of the conditions/situations that HSAs wont.

High risk pools would create the very death spiral the GOP claims that they’d be avoiding (the GOP isn’t good at math) - because you can’t get enough people to pay enough to cover the costs of those in the coverage.

As a reminder - if the GOP claim that they have a plan, and it amounts to wishful thinking, that’s vaporware. If the GOP claims that their plan will do one thing, but creates far more problems than it solves, that’s malware.

Right now, the GOP have nothing but malware and vaporware as their stated policies on everything from taxes to health policy. Call it exactly that. They’ve had years to produce a cogent policy. They don’t have one. They’ve spent years attacking policies that work, precisely because they work.

For years Democrats shied away from defending those programs, especially Obamacare. That’s on the leadership that decided that they would run from Obamacare instead of defending it as the improvement over the status quo ante.

Enough.

Democrats have to show that their policies not only worked, but that the GOP has nothing but know-nothing/do-nothing regressive policies that would see all the gains made over the past 50 years (or more) disappear so that angry white guys can “feel” better about their lot - by being able to be bigots openly (but wont actually see/feel any actual improvement in their socioeconomic situation) and the rich can get richer.

Bill Maher is getting his just deserts:

The clip was published to YouTube on Wednesday and has quickly amassed more than 100,000 views. It shows a 1998 segment from his former show “Politically Correct with Bill Maher,” in which Maher defends Mary Kay Letourneau to a panel that includes Lisa Montgomery Kennedy, Henry Rollins, Celeste Greig and Cedric the Entertainer.

For those who may not remember, Letourneau was a 34-year-old Seattle teacher who had an ongoing sexual relationship with a student when he was 12 years old. She also gave birth to two of his children, one of them while incarcerated. After spending several years in prison, she married the student.

In the clip, Maher said Letourneau was in jail “for being in love.”

He continued, “I admit that it’s unorthodox. She’s 35, the boy is 14. He was younger when they started. But she is pregnant again. That was the story this week. This is the second child by this boy. They are keeping the mother in jail because she won’t conform to what society feels should be the perfect American family.”

Later in the clip, when Greig called the act rape, Maher responded, “How can a woman rape a man?”

He also outright dismissed Rollins when he said, “I think that kid’s gonna grow up fairly damaged.”

washingtonpost.com

The best part is when Maher looks at Rollins for approval to go along with his bullshit and Rollins isn’t having any of that. It’s simple to me. Would you consider a 35 year old man who has sex with a 14 year old girl a sex offender? If you answer yes, you need to consider what LeTorneau did the same thing. The relationship started when he was 12. 12. Most of us (I turned 12 that summer) were in 6th grade when we were 12. Maher’s a sleazy dickbag.

Kid was 12! If a dude did that to either a girl or a boy, most of us would want him buried in the jail. Even if they did “consent”. THERE’S A REASON WHY KIDS CAN’T LEGALLY CONSENT!

(note, I have met adults that, in my estimation, probably weren’t mature enough to have relationships etc)

See the Stanford Experiment. (Might also call that Good German Syndrome.)

Also, simply quitting a job can be very destructive to a person or family. It actually would take quite a bit of strength of character to walk away.

The backpeddling here would be that New York is within the 100-mile area of the borders that Customs is allowed to search people. The ACLU has a map that shows the area in question.

Just noted to my wife that I am quite prepared to go to jail if someone were to order me to cough up ID or other illegal things - but I neither fly on US flights (I drive to Canada first and fly from there) nor do I live within a hundred miles of the borders or coasts (well, I live on the Inland Coast but that’s different).

I live near a border and have traveled frequently out of DTW both on domestic and international flights, and I have never been asked for ID to deplane.

Note there are seventy-one land checkpoints in the interior of the USA. They frequently cause traffic delays and other problems while conducting searches of all vehicles on a highway. Most are along the southern border, but there are some in Maine as well.

A court case (noted near the end of the Wikipedia article) found they are constitutional.

A contributor on another blog I follow* linked to this gem of a news item: White House Terrorism Advisor Sebastian Gorka threatens critic.

Oh, and Sebastian Gorka’s qualifications for employment in the Trump White House?

“…the Hungarian born, British-educated terrorism specialist had been hired by President Donald Trump’s top adviser Steve Bannon. Both Bannon and Gorka came from the far-right Breitbart News, where Bannon was editor-in-chief and Gorka was national security editor. On his Twitter page, Gorka describes himself as “deputy assistant to the 45th president of America” and an “Irregular Warfare Strategist.”

IOW, “Islamophobic crony of Steve Bannon’s from Breitbart News”: apparent all that’s needed for this Administration…

The really annoying is to a lot of these RWNJ morons, having employed covered health insurance is equivalent to paying for ones own care.

The percentage of people who actually pay their health care 100% out of pocket is pretty low. And most of those who do are very poor, not very wealthy.

Arizona has particular problems with “interior border enforcement” though nothing from the Phoenix airport (yet).

A town that is eighteen miles from the border says its residents are regularly harassed and racially profiled when they leave town, and a man and his daughter were killed in a home invasion by anti-immigrant activists Christian terrorists in the town.

This is what you get when you’ve been spinning up conservatives for thirty years using terms of warfare to describe undocument immigrants, such as “invasion” or “take over.”

It’s Friday…we always do a lot of tunes on Friday. After seeing the above tweet, these words and song went through my head.

Note: No YouTube of Beatles original. So, here is a nice cover from the George Fest where Britt Daniels from Spoon sings and the various musicians from all the George Fest bands and others toss in the music and do a great job (IMO).

George Fest - I Me Mine [Official Live Video]

I Me Mine
The Beatles

All through’ the day
I me mine, I me mine, I me mine.
All through’ the night
I me mine, I me mine, I me mine.
Now they’re frightened of leaving it
Ev’ryone’s weaving it,
Coming on strong all the time,
All through’ the day I me mine.
I-I-me-me mine, I-I-me-me mine,
I-I-me-me mine, I-I-me-me mine.
All I can hear
I me mine, I me mine, I me mine.
Even those tears
I me mine, I me mine, I me mine.
No-one’s frightened of playing it
Ev’ryone’s saying it,
Flowing more freely than wine,
All through’ the day I me mine.
I-I-me-me mine, I-I-me-me mine,
I-I-me-me…

Probably not the meaning George had in mind…but Trump is all I me mine!

Just remember, the crowd at CPAC are the worst of the worst. They are the legendary 27% of the 27% because they can either afford or are willing to pay with what money they have to be there.

For Trump, it’s like another campaign rally. He gets his rocks off to the adoring crowd. He’ll say whatever works with the current crowd….which again, tells you about the crowd at CPAC.

Also, the whole Bannon/Reince touchfest…..when people do that in this kind of setting it’s not about romance, it’s about dominance. Getting into someone’s personal space and touching them without their permission in a public setting like this is all about control. That was not two people showing affection.

In a private setting between people with a relationship where casual touching is allowed as a communication tool, totally different dynamic.

At the rate this is going, the reputation of the United States will be irretrievable until the ugly white American is forever marginalized and forced out of office.

The whole War on Terrorism in my opinion really hurt the U.S. image in the world. Invading sovereign nations under false pretense will do that.

Trump will make sure any little bits of credibility we might still have left will be wiped away.

The Constitution in the Hundred Mile Border Zone:
aclu.org

(fairly long document)

The ACLU notes that about 200 million people live within one hundred miles of the border (that includes coastlines). Several states are completely within that zone.

CPB has been known to ignore Supreme Court rulings on the area before, since the zone was established by law in 1953.

The document is well worth reading, to know exactly what your rights are.

BTW, PPP polling on trust of media and Trump:

Last week Trump declared that the news media was the ‘enemy of the American people’ but we find that only 35% of voters believe that, to 53% who say that isn’t the case. By a 48/44 spread they say it is actually Trump who is the greater threat to the American people than the media. We asked voters who they thought had more credibility between Trump and each of the outlets he singled out for attack last week, and Trump loses out to every one of them by double digits.

Look, these are people whose main concern is making their collecting flight or getting home or to their destination on time. It would take a concerted effort on the part of people who were prepared to put up with the hassle and the delays and stick together on the point.

My main concern is my rights.

Consider that only one person suggested the Women’s March, and it became a worldwide phenomenon.

It has to start with one person saying “no more,” and others will follow. Only one person had to say “my rights are more important than my connecting flight.” None did.

All it took was for one person to say “no.”

Wikipedia addresses the issue:

On December 1, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama, Parks refused to obey bus driver James F. Blake’s order to give up her seat in the colored section to a white passenger, after the white section was filled. Parks was not the first person to resist bus segregation. Others had taken similar steps, including Bayard Rustin in 1942,[2] Irene Morgan in 1946, Sarah Louise Keys in 1952, and the members of the ultimately successful Browder v. Gayle 1956 lawsuit (Claudette Colvin, Aurelia Browder, Susie McDonald, and Mary Louise Smith) who were arrested in Montgomery for not giving up their bus seats months before Parks. NAACP organizers believed that Parks was the best candidate for seeing through a court challenge after her arrest for civil disobedience in violating Alabama segregation laws, although eventually her case became bogged down in the state courts while the Browder v. Gayle case succeeded.

It is the inverse of “ignorance of the law is no excuse.”

An entire planeload of passengers and not one knew their rights? If that’s the case, then we have bigger problems.

Too many people are willing to comply and give up their rights (see Patriot Act). “I have a business conference,” “I can’t miss my connecting flight,” &c. Too many people put other things in front of their rights.

If you do not use your rights you will lose them. It is that simple. There is no way a couple CBP agents could have arrested an entire plane. But not one, not one person said “no.”

Plus the question of whether or not rights are being violated by “papers, please” for deplaning passengers is unclear, given the CBP’s court-approved powers within 100 miles of the border (which includes JFK because the border is deemed to include the coasts).

And let me further say (after additional consideration) that had this happened on a flight I was on, I would have assumed there was a problem and likely complied. Now this wasn’t in the era of Trump, so I think my reaction now might be different than what it would have been then.

So if we take that statement and apply it to today’s political environment, how many of the people on that flight are aware of the political environment and how many trust government (the way I did under Obama)?

I think there are simply too many things we don’t know to assume that this was something we can assign any kind of blame to. Short of not being In The Know (following politics as we all do), most people would think there was a valid reason for the asking for identification.

I suggested saying “no.” My response was “what would they do, storm the plane?” I said nothing of barricading oneself aboard a plane.

I wonder how many cell phone videos would be uploaded to the ACLU and YouTube about thirty seconds after CPB tried to drag someone off an aircraft for non-compliance with an unconstitutional order?

No, I think the point is for someone to join in and self-identify as Muslim or a fellow immigrant — even if not actually true, offer yourself up to them in protest. Watch as that is followed by a cascade of other passengers who join in, to the point where the vast majority of passengers give themselves up.

They would not have enough manpower to arrest/detain everyone on a plane, especially if that spreads to every other flight. It would be totally unworkable and a slap in the face to this authority.

It’s an act of willful defiance in the vein of Rosa Parks.

Nope. Ignoring the fact that that’s not how fascism is defined academically, Mussolini’s definition did not mean business corporations. Rather, the whole society was organized into professional castes - “corporations”. In no way is the US a corporate state in the fascist sense.

Yes and no. Corporatism in Trump America is a real thing where private economic entities are being melded with state power and for state purposes. Analysis below from a nobel winner in economics:

Trump, Corporatism, and the Dearth of Innovation

CHICAGO - In the United States, a domestic political shift from cosmopolitanism to nationalism, and from left-leaning metropolitan “elites” to right-leaning rural “populists,” seems, to many, to be underway. The prevailing economic ideology is also shifting, from a redistributive, regulatory corporatism to something like the old interventionist corporatism.

Disaffected voters are behind both changes. For decades, Americans believed that they were riding a magic carpet of economic growth, owing to advances in science and, later, to the rise of Silicon Valley. In fact, growth in total factor productivity has been slow since the early 1970s. The 1996-2004 Internet boom was only a fleeting departure from the trend.

project-syndicate.org

So having a ‘private’ company loaning a helicopter to government law enforcement to use in a repressive fashion against protesters in order to aid the policies of the company is a classic example of corporatism. “Everything within the state. Everything for the state. Nothing against the state”. (Change ‘state’ to ‘America’ and you have a perfect Trump speech quote at some point down the road).

However, meshing this single action within a broader framework of fascism (palingenetic ultra-nationalism, the lost greatness myth, scapgoating of minority factions, unitary executive power) is not complete….yet.

I’m an EU citizen. I’m coming to the US tomorrow. We route through Washington and then on to San Francisco. I’m coming because the university I work for is paying for me. My wife is coming - we mix with the same people, it’s a networking/”Are you mad, of course I’m coming to San Francisco” trip. I’m mixed race and have been gently trying to get us to cancel, but I’m not out of pocket for my ticket, we are for ours.

I would happily be one of the “tourist” boycotters to stop coming. I’ve been to Vietnam this year. She’s been to Cuba more than once. I don’t have the rights you have. My trip to the US this time has me: leaving my computer; picking a tablet I can wipe as I land; taking an old phone that is pre-wiped. Separating sim-card (in case) from phone (in bag). 2-factor security on my accounts, unlockable with SMS.

That I have even had to think about that to come is utterly disheartening. More so than hearing that I don’t have the right to say no

Regardless of what the fascists conservatives say here, everyone on American soil is covered by the Bill of Rights. It does not refer to citizens, it refers to people.

That said, one has to weigh whether he is willing to stand on a particular principle. Voting with your Euros might be the better choice in the future; I hear Canada is a nice place to visit.

The author, Suzanne Collins, made the point repeatedly that stands on conviction, however necessary, can have dreadful consequences and that nobody escapes war unscathed.

It doesn’t have to be war in our definition of it. Parks, Lewis, MLK, Malcolm X… they paid varied prices for each taking a stand.

The people who signed the Declaration of Independence knew that they were signing their own death warrants. Many of them fell into obscurity after the war; some saw their lives and fortunes destroyed.

Our passports are now in our car (as you can’t get a passport without a birth certificate). As you note, if they are intent on disbelieving you it won’t do much good. Also, your documents can “disappear.”

Passports in the car also offer the opportunity should it arise to head straight for the Mexican or Canadian borders if necessary.

Not to mention the logic of the idea that such an attack could only happen given a cover of protest (which clearly didn’t happen in the Tokyo subway attack) or that , you know, such an attack wouldn’t disproportionately affect the very protesters being used as cover and such too.

But no matter, long as you imply that all liberal protesters are psychotic anti-freedom super-monsters that riot at the drop of a hat and simply leave destruction in their wake. Not like those genteel, polite, right-wing demonstrators who simply point their guns at you in the most polite of ways.

What is equally alarming is the fact that “protesters are paid!” is now accepted dogma on the right and it leading to some really horrifying legislation in Arizona and probably here in NC soon as well.

That’s kinda terrifying.

What is somewhat ironic, more than disturbing, and almost comical, is that Bannon is telling reputable reporters, including those at the Washington Post, that the White House plans to destroy them. And rather than stand up to him, reporters rush back to their laptops to write up the stories, staying respectfully neutral, while indirectly serving as a right wing echo chamber.

Bannon and Trump are using the press to threaten and berate — the press. When will the press, in unity, tell Bannon and Trump, to respectfully go fuck themselves? It’s obvious these mobster-like headmen desperately need the press to survive. Bannon and Trump incessantly use the press every day, and seem to forget that it was the media that held their hands throughout the 2016 election year and fundamentally walked them into the Oval Office. So, why does most of the press/media accept what’s become constant degradation and why do the keep going back for more abuse? Something has to give, because these hate-filled fear mongers should not be allowed to use American media as a beacon for tyranny. What’s that thing Dr. Phil says? “We teach people how to treat us.”

CNN reporting that Spicer says this was a pool report, not a gaggle and that is why there was a smaller group that coincidentally not allow CNN and three others in.

What?

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Excitement surrounding the imminent birth of a baby giraffe grows by the hour.

A live video stream has captured the attention of thousands carefully inspecting the expectant mother giraffe, April’s every move inside the barn at Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, N.Y. But not everyone agrees with the live stream, the zoo said.

Zoo owner Jordan Patch took to Facebook live Thursday morning saying YouTube shut off the giraffe live stream because of “nudity and sexual content.” Patch said “a handful of extremists and animal activist” caused the cam to go dark.

It is a story, but the way the media could “earn” their way back in is to keep digging. Make the WH learn that a press that is not in front of you is snooping around behind you.

We finally caught up with Senator Marco Rubio at @FIU. He told us that he won’t host a townhall because people act “rude and stupid.”

Yeah, Sen. Rubio, call your constituents rude and stupid. That’ll work.

I was flipping through the stations the other day and watched a minute or two of Superior Donuts, which has Katey Sagal in it.

Can’t believe that she’s 63.

Married With Children really didn’t do her justice.
