She was much more magnamious to him than most people would have. But Bernie’s cult thinks he was entitled the nomination based off hypothetical polls and the caucuses. I never was a big Clinton fan but the BBs made me a bigger one of hers by constantly lying about her.

And there you have the kind of shit that makes me despise a portion of the left. Fuck these people and their lying bullshit. I’m sick of the far left’s selfishness. And I have to say, I’m a little peeved that Sanders butted into the Virginia gubertorial race because even though we share the same candidate, I know he’s going to spread misinformation about the establishment candidate, who is a guy I personally like and will vote for and campaign for if the nominee but just isn’t my preference.

We’ve had many years to get to know HRC and her approach to things. Anyone who can take all that in, and come to that conclusion, is either staggeringly disingenuous or truly, unreachably dumb. Makes my head hurt. I’m going to get on my bicycle and ride home from work and for about 40 minutes or so pretend all the dumb people went away.

They want to do everything to justify the unjustifiable whether it was supporting Stein or not voting.

To be fair, other national figures like Podesta and David Plouffe have also endorsed Perriello, who I and Sanders support but it just rubs me the wrong way. He never attempted to learn anything about issues important to Virginians during the primary and indeed pretty much dismissed us another Southern state after Hillary won big here.

I’d honestly have more respect for Sanders if he just became a Dem already but Maiji put it quite well downstairs that he likes to play both sides of the coin. It’s funny for someone who appeals to people for not being a “typical politician,” I think Senator Sanders is guilty of the same opportunism that many of his strongest supporters would find abhorrent if someone else were doing it.

I’ll use headphones on a bike path that’s not on a main road, but that’s about it. The other one that confuses me is people who wear headphones while skiing/snowboarding. Maybe it’s just because I grew up skiing in a time when you really couldn’t do that, but when I tried, it just threw me completely off.

I suspect that both extremes came honestly to their positions, and do think what they argue for would be best for the world. But, because they are extremists, they are calcified in their positions and world view. And I don’t know who I dislike more, extremists like that or those who take an otherwise unserious view of law and politics (for example: glibertarians)

18
HappyWarrior  Apr 6, 2017 • 4:22:05pm

I think the problem though with both extremes is neither takes the time to actually educate themselves on what makes government works. They just think in terms of only ideology. I mean obviously I have problems with Trump’s ideology but we’re seeing a bit part of his shiftiness is his managerial style and I think the far left naively thinks that if we just had one of theirs in there, we’d get all the lefty stuff they’ve always wanted.

I will admit to be being a little sympathetic to the far left since I used to be one. Having never been far right or a gilbertarian, it’s harder for me though I have some sympathetic attitudes towards them since we share some social views.

Interviewed Trumpster:

Estes wants a better-paying job but says it’s hard to get one these days if you speak only English. Increasingly, the first question in any job interview is, ‘Habla español?’”

I have been able to speak Spanish since I was a child, which was a damn long time ago. Nobody thought it was political, or a subversive act, or cuckery. Lately, though, RWNJs have been treating it as all these things. One complained that “thanks to Obama” his teenage children were now forced to take a foreign language in high school, and Spanish was the #1 choice. In fact, the language requirement has existed in Texas for over a hundred years, and Spanish has always been by far the most popular choice.

I love Portuguese, it’s like Spanish went to Russia and got drunk.

It is very expressive, with a lyrical quality more like French, though vocabulary is very close to Spanish. When I worked for General Dynamics, they kept sending me to Brazil to work their sub-contracts with Embraer. I also went there on military missions a couple of times. Later, I did the same as a geophysicist. The locals love you if you speak the language, since so few Americans do.

Ann Coulter’s career has been devoted exclusively to rabble rousing to encourage the US right to be even more evil and fucked in the head than their already impressive natural tendencies in those directions.

May karma catch up with her in the form of a singularly painful and loathsome disease that completely removes her from society and leaves her with nothing at all to do for the next thirty years.

She … wants to deport … ANCHOR BABIES? She’s not human. She can’t be. What the ever-loving FUCK.

Many on the right claim that so-called “anchor babies” are not entitled to US citizenship. Its key to their dream of ethnically cleansing America to maintain a white majority.

Texas law currently requires that cars be sold through franchised dealers. This obviously conflicts with Tesla’s direct sales approach and serves little purpose other than protecting the profits of fatcat dealers.

50 tomahawk missiles represents 1.4% of the US Navy stockpile. At $1.4 million each that’s $70.5 million in ordinance launched at a single Syrian airfield that will probably be back in operation in a couple days.

It remains to be seen if this is just a one-off retaliation, possibly with prior notice to Russia to warn the Syrians so Trump can save face, or the beginning of a campaign.

Yeah, and she went to law school, even. The University of Michigan should revoke her JD. We have the law that if you were born here, you’re a citizen (with a few exceptions, like children of embassy & consular staff). Trying to decide who is an “anchor baby” would be crazy, and then making those people essentially stateless is insane.

But Ann Coulter is fucking nuts. Another one of these merchants of chaos.

I was aware of that. Dealerships here also fall under Texas Blue Laws of all thing. They cant sell cars or vehicles on Sundays. Everywhere else I have lived Sunday is the
HOT sales day of the week.
I’m just surprised they folded and opened a full service dealership.

re: #60 Jebediah, RBG

When I was younger, I preferred to ride on the opposite side of the street to easier see what was coming. I would sort of “tuck” myself in when oncoming traffic came. I actually wish cyclists would do that that way I know they see too. Too many stay at the edge of the lane to avoid the gravel close to the curb, and many times I see close calls in front of me when rear view mirrors almost hit riders’ backsides. (Or cars veer out into the other lane causing everybody to dodge.)

144
Jebediah, RBG  Apr 6, 2017 • 6:57:57pm

re: #143 SteveMcG RN

These days, if I am not on an actual bike path, I am in city traffic, where I don’t think that would work as well (or at least I would be wicked uncomfortable with it, after decades of riding with traffic.)
