That Time Mike Cernovich Threatened Trump

The next “Pizzagate” should be a real magnum opus
Blogosphere • Views: 54,575

So right-wing manbaby Mike Cernovich is all butthurt that his boy Steve Bannon is on his way out of the Trump White House.

Let’s go inside Mike’s (alleged) brain for a second:
Well, this sucks. Bannon promised me if I kept up the batshit conspiracies, that he’d have a cushy gig for me in a year or so. If I don’t get that, I might have to get a real job, once the wingnut welfare dries up. What to do? What to do. Hmmm… what has worked before?

I know! Let’s launch some crazy conspiracy theories with absolutely no foundation! My listeners are a bunch of total gullible tards! They’ll eat it all up, and maybe Trump will get scared and back off firing Bannon! That’ll work!

And thus, a future series InfoWars segments was born:

“I will go TMZ on the globalists. I will go Gossip Girl on the globalists. I will go Gawker on the globalists. So you mother-effers going after Bannon, just know I broke two of the biggest stories before anybody else,” Cernovich said on his Periscope. “If you think I don’t know the pills people are popping, the mistresses, the sugar babies—I know all of it. So you better be smart. Because the mother of all stories will be dropped because I don’t care.”

Pill-popping? Mistresses? Orgies? Hmmm. Who could he be talking about? Reince? Spicey? No, they don’t have the juice to stop Bannon’s ouster. Kushner?

Or maybe … Trump himself?

Hot wingnut on wingnut action. He threatens Trump cronies for dumping on another Trump crony. Everyone points fingers at each other, all while the leaks are nonstop and the more Trump talks, the more it’s clear he doesn’t know what he’s talking about or doing.

So yeah, sit back and watch the world come to an end. Just bring plenty of popcorn for you and your friends.

Pass the popcorn

That kind of looks like blackmailing a federal official to me. Perhaps federal agents ought to pay Mr. Cernovich a visit.

So Trump’s losing most everybody who isn’t batshit crazy, so his next step is to turn them against him as well.

Brilliant!

There was no way Bannon was going to be sticking around the administration for long. Trump cares about popularity and optics, not ethics, policy, or substance. Bannon is not good for ratings and he’s just, well, not an attractive face for TV.

Trump needed him for the KKK vote. Then he got a promised position in the administration. He’s served his purpose now.

Bannon’s finding out that, like most other tin-pot dictators, Trump is quick to dispense with those who fall out of his favor. And with Trump pursuing foreign conflicts as his way to higher approval ratings, Bannon has been replaced with Mattis and McMasters. Bannon’s entire wheelhouse was domestic policy, tearing down all the progress of the past 100 years, and yet that path has only led to crushing defeats and major political snafus.

Reversing the Lies of the Shared Economy

There are, however, three major but inconvenient truths that seem to get glossed over when we talk about the market economy. The first is that market systems feed off an extensive, underlying gift economy in which people transfer ideas, goods, services, and emotional support to each other without requesting money. Unpaid childcare is one example. If your mother watches your two children while you’re at a job, that’s the gift economy in action. In fact, without friends and family it’s unlikely that you could even maintain the desire to go to work. Even in professional settings we share common resources with business colleagues. Companies rely upon this internal collaboration to produce the very products they then competitively exchange in markets.

As a result of the previous thought about Demis Roussos, i now have two images in my head:

1) Donald Trump in the Oval Office, being hugged by Demis Roussos in a slow dance, as Roussos sings “Forever and Ever”:

Demis Roussos - Forever And Ever • TopPop

2) Dennis Roussos was referenced in a famous contemporaneous one off BBC play at the time: “Abigail’s Party” by Mike Leigh. So, now I’m imagining the Trump family re-enacting “Abigail’s Party”.

They got a part wrong that they retracted.

Foxx had also participated at a patient roundtable earlier that day and explained why the issue was so important to her. “I am a ‘youth on their own’ — meaning I don’t live with my parents or have a permanent home,” she said, using a transcript provided by Planned Parenthood. “So when I needed birth control and reproductive health care, I didn’t have anyone to help me navigate the health care system.”

Editor’s note: This article has been updated to reflect that Foxx’s comments were relayed in a transcript provided by Planned Parenthood, not a script provided by the organization.

If we were a true market economy, parents would set up a tab of the costs for each child, including interest, and present the children with a bill when they are old enough to work. Because we don’t, its one of the many places where the market fails.

Ever read Edward Bellamy’s Looking Backward? In it, the author describes his utopia —a place where sales assistants aren’t needed etc.

Which, I think is described by the author of my previous post:

And third, many commercial market exchanges are actually hybridized with non-commercial elements that add richness. Take, for example, flirting with a bartender as they serve you drinks, or having a discussion about politics with the stylist you’re paying to cut your hair. Not only do market systems rely on non-market influences in order to work, but their products feel pointless and empty without them. Recognition of this, however, is uneven.

Jesus, a pro David Clarke group is using his statements on BLM as a terrorist group as a positive for a run at Tammy Baldwin’s seat.

As reported by the liberal magazine Mother Jones, the committee sent a fundraising email on April 5, 2017 that suggested several reasons why Clarke would make a good senator — starting with this one:

“Milwaukee’s conservative black Sheriff CORRECTLY says ‘BLACK LIVES MATTER’ is a terrorist movement, a hate group, and calls it ‘Black LIES Matter.’” cont.

It has attacked first-term U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, a Democrat, for being a lesbian as part of its effort to get Clarke to run against her in 2018. Clarke has not ruled out a run, but hasn’t expressed strong interest, either, while a number of Republicans have.

For her part, Baldwin has said Clarke is “being groomed” to challenge her, and has raised campaign funds herself off his possible candidacy.

While a favorite of the right, Clarke has drawn criticism for his racial remarks as well as for his performance as sheriff as he increasingly spends time on national television and traveling the country on speaking engagements. He has also said virtually nothing about four inmate deaths in the jail he manages that are under investigation.

(CNN) - Opioid painkillers — some in prescription bottles with the name Kirk Johnson on them — were found in several places in Paisley Park following Prince’s death last year, court documents unsealed Monday showed.

Dr. Michael Todd Schulenberg said he wrote an Oxycodone prescription for Prince under the name of Johnson, the singer’s estate manager and longtime friend, for privacy purposes, according to a search warrant that was among the documents unsealed.

“…But his staff had previously announced that it was expecting around 21,000 people, about an average crowd in recent decades — though much smaller the 35,000 that showed up in the final year of the Obama presidency. Beyoncé and Jay-Z were guests last year. This year, the biggest talent was the Martin Family Circus, a family band which played to a mostly empty crowd for much of the morning.

But even that number seemed high as much of the South Lawn of the White House was empty throughout the morning of the roll, with no lines for activities from the egg roll itself to games of bag toss and an easter egg hunt for most of the morning. Costumed characters milled about at times waiting for kids to take photos with, while overeager volunteers jumping at the chance to help families.

Senior White House staff argued that they’d intentionally aimed for a smaller crowd than in previous years….”

Decorated Navy SEAL is moonlighting as a porn star

Major questions include whether Schmidt violated rules mandating that SEALs obtain advance approval from their commanders for outside work and whether the SEAL brass has been quietly condoning his film work. The investigation began only eight months before Schmidt had planned to retire, and disciplinary action could affect his rank and pension benefits.

“We have initiated a formal investigation into these allegations. There are very clear regulations which govern outside employment by [Naval Special Warfare] personnel as well as prohibitions on behavior that is discrediting to the service,” said Capt. Jason Salata, a spokesman for the SEALs.

I wonder if Trump has ever been truthful about anything in his entire business career and now as a politician? I get the feeling as easy it is for him to bullshit, his normal mode is bullshitting. Telling the truth may be impossible even if he tries.

Sad thing…it seems to work for him. It sure says a lot about this country that a complete bullshitter can become president. I guess that goes to the old hope of “anyone can be president” but I don’t think that is what it meant.
