In Which Donald Trump Embarrasses America and Makes an Ass of Himself Again

Fear-mongering malevolent orange sack tweets again
Politics • Views: 34,030

Following the attack in London yesterday, our so-called president did what he does best: he launched a stream of fear-mongering, opportunistic tweets, and retweeted an early unconfirmed post at Drudge Report, because who needs intelligence services and experts when you can just browse over to Drudge Report for your information?

Of course, his people were all over the news shows a little while ago denying there was any such thing as a “travel ban.” But I’m sure the ACLU’s lawyers enjoy it when the tiny-fisted fascist makes their jobs easier.

Somebody on his staff either tweeted the next one for him, or told him to do it, because this is just not the yammering yam’s normal response.

And as usual, it only took him a few hours before he turned his own tweet into a hypocritical joke by attacking London’s mayor.

He had one more asinine tweet in him before he put his phone down to go play golf.

Yes, we noticed we’re not having a gun debate — because Britain has sane gun laws that make it much more difficult for terrorists to get their hands on semi-automatic weapons that can kill huge numbers of people in seconds. Oh wait — you mean that’s not what he meant?

Just for contrast (and what a contrast it is), here’s the official statement from London Mayor Sadiq Khan.

My favorite detail is how he had to capitalize Travel Ban, as if it were a proper name.

I swear these assholes are just trying to provoke some shit here. It’s bad enough their hate has been festering and killing people (in mostly small numbers) for years. They are actively rooting for this country to turn on itself and fall apart.

But yeah, I’m the traitor because I’m a liberal.

Keep telling yourself that you poopy little diaper babies.

For 1/2 a year now I have gotten up every morning to read about what a pustulatic orange-tinged shit flinging orangutan has vomited up by voice or Tweet on a daily basis. The conclusion is that this very angry and entitled person will go down as the single worst example in my lifetime of what humanity can offer by being handed so much on a golden patter and his resulting sadism upon the weak and injured.

Donald Trump is simply a singularly awful person.

Sen. Murphy takes apart Trump’s anti-terror “strategy” in 5 tweets. You could add attacking our allies and NATO, and supporting autocratic regimes to the list. Not to mention his lack of interest in non-muslim terrorism.

22 rounds of golf in 19 weeks as POTUS. That’s probably a record. Taking care of the important things first.

Whatever shit for brains had in mind to accomplish Ie; extreme vetting months ago when they first came up with this Travel Ban insanity has had the time now to already come up with the plan that was supposed to have been implemented. So forget the idiocy of the Ban and implement your Great Yuge plan and be done with the Ban nonsense.

Have seen several people online saying ….to soft of Muslims or some such nonsense. Not 1 of them has a plan to do anything. All I’m seeing is fuming morons shouting at the sky. What could possibly go wrong.

Arg, this got lost in the last thread, as this one was getting posted. Anyway…

Noticed there was a lot of 80s music choices on [the last] thread, so here’s mine. I just discovered recently Depeche Mode’s 1986 album “Black Celebration”. As a teenager, I was more into their singles at the time. However, I notice one of the tracks from this album- from 1986!!- is a full throated broadside against what we now call today “Fake News”. It’s called “New Dress”, and here’s a contemporaneous live performance of it. The verses are parodies of UK tabloid headlines, always ending with: “PRINCESS DI HAS GOT A NEW DRESS”. However the significant lyrics are in the bridge:

You can’t change the world
But you can change the facts
And when you change the facts
You change points of view
If you change points of view
You may change a vote
And when you change a vote
You may change the world

Depeche mode - New Dress 11/19 (London 1986)

[Actually thinking on it, Depeche Mode were a seriously kick-bottom live act by this time. Their live album from 1989, the soundtrack from the DA Pennebaker concert film 101 is one of my favourite live albums ever.]

EDIT: Here’s the 101 live version of “Never Let Met Down Again”.Look at that crowd in the Pasadena Bowl! (from about 3.55 onwards)

Sabbath mode, also known as Shabbos mode (Ashkenazi pronunciation) or Shabbat mode, is a feature in many modern home appliances, including ovens[1] and refrigerators,[2] which is intended to allow the appliances to be used (subject to various constraints) by Shabbat-observant Jews on the Shabbat and Jewish holidays. The mode usually overrides the usual, everyday operation of the electrical appliance and makes the operation of the appliance comply with the rules of Halakha (Jewish law).

Since there isn’t anything you actually do with a freezer except open it, I’m supposing it just locks itself until its photosensor sees three stars on Saturday.

I’m guessing the little light doesn’t go on when you open it?

I tape over the lights on my fridge (Whirlpool). Samsung and LG do not have Sabbath mode or lights that can be taped over, so I will not consider purchasing those appliances.

That is the next applicance that we’ll have to buy. They all go at once in this house as it was new when we bought it with cheap appliances included.

Just bought the washer and driver. Hopefully we’ll make it thru the Summer before any other purchase is necessary.

Makes sense, though we’ve never had a freezer with a light in it. The Internet of Things That Are Observant will solve all of this for us. Like a toaster oven that won’t make a BLT on a Friday in Lent.

The excavation and removal was completed in 1812 at a personal cost of around £70,000.[20] Elgin intended to use the marbles to decorate his private house in Scotland,[3] but a costly divorce suit forced him to sell them to settle his debts.[21] He sold the Parthenon Marbles to the British government for less than the cost to procure them, declining higher offers from other potential buyers, including Napoleon

Ummm, live and learn, I guess (especially on LGF!). I had always thought that Lord Elgin had paid off the Ottoman authorities to let him take the marbles: i.e. (from Wikipedia):

I

n 1801, Thomas Bruce, 7th Earl of Elgin obtained a permit[3] from the Sublime Porte, which then ruled Greece.

I had assumed that it being the Ottomans and all, that that “obtained” part wasn’t exactly done as a favor: it seems like a fairly complicated deal (verging on scam) in any case.

Trying to think what a freezer would do automatically on the Sabbath. It’s not exactly a Tel Aviv elevator.

Wiki sez:

A Shabbat mode refrigerator includes, at a minimum, the ability to disable all lights or other electrical activity from occurring when the refrigerator door is opened. Some Shabbat mode refrigerators include a timer for the compressor so that opening the door, which would normally indirectly cause the compressor to turn on as soon as the temperature rises, will have no immediate effect on the electrical operation of the appliance

Yeah, I noted this a few weeks ago-that the court decisions should be irrelevant because the time frame had already passed. I don’t suppose anyone is actually tasked with working on this, though. Its effectiveness would also suffer from the fact that all those terrorists have had a bunch of time to come here in the meanwhile.

The other is two young nurses meet at a train station with a common purpose: to join the war effort, London 1944.

If you don’t listen to Welcome to Night Vale, you should (episode 86):

And now, a word from our sponsor.

Today’s show is brought to you by Papa John’s. At Papa John’s we make pizza with only the freshest ingredients, using old-world recipes passed down from our family’s many generations of pizza makers. Nearly all of these pizza makers are still alive, making pizza and passing down recipes. They live in the back. We’re running out of room for them.

We’ve long given up on thinking they’d eventually die. Why don’t they die? I mean, we love them, but there are close to 50 people in our family dating back to at least the 1800s, their bodies aging and failing, but never…you know…dying.

Perhaps it’s our secret recipes causing that.

You’d think so, but it’s not. Because a few members of our family have actually passed away…although, now that we’re thinking about it, those were public executions for treason back during the first World War. And another couple were car accidents.

Maybe it is the sauce?

Either way, visit your local Papa John’s. Order a delicious pizza. How hard can it be? Immortality, we mean.

Papa John’s. It’ll be fine.

242

There was a pizza place in St. Paul that got busted for dealing after inspectors visited the place and found that the ovens weren’t even turned on.

“On August 19, 2014, a concerned citizen made a report with the St. Paul Police Department that Papa Dimitri’s Classic Pizza and Ice Cream located at 466 Hamline Avenue South … is rarely open and does not seem to do much actual business,” said the criminal complaint. “The concerned citizen reported that employees have complained about the heat not working, which the concerned citizen thought odd since the pizza ovens should have provided plenty of heat.

“The concerned citizen said that the employees ate at another nearby restaurant, the Nook, which was also odd because they work in a restaurant … and it appeared that there were more children being babysat at the restaurant than actual customers.”

To be fair, The Nook has the best hamburgers in the Twin Cities.

For all his flaws, W did not show hate or contempt for others; did not demonize groups of people; and was actually interested in helping ordinary people. After all, he played a crucial role in fighting AIDs in Africa and he browbeat Republicans to vote for the Medicare Part D program.

On the other hand, his staff waged a deeply dishonest campaign against McCain in South Carolina; he did nothing to stop the Swift Boat attacks against Kerry, and he scared Congress to authorize our excellent adventure in Iraq, which has led to ongoing damage to many areas in the Middle East and paved the way to increased Iranian power.

2) Be preparing for any actions taken by Trump, his supporters, or just anyone taking advantage of the situation.

Also, be prepared to counter this inevitable dumbfuckery from the Botoxed Riefenstahls:

“…the policy inexperience of many within Trump’s inner circle has presented an opportunity for both the Saudis and the Emiratis to shape the administration’s thinking on critical regional issues such as Iran and Islamism, both of which were evident during the Riyadh visit.

Whereas the Obama administration sought to enhance U.S. engagement with the GCC as a bloc, Trump focused instead on Saudi Arabia and the UAE as the twin pillars of its regional approach. Strong bonds reportedly have formed between Trump’s adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner and Mohammed bin Salman in Saudi Arabia as well as Yusuf al-Otaiba, the influential UAE ambassador in Washington.

Trump: Wait, I bet it was Louisiana wasn’t it? I think we can handle that. I did good numbers there, very good.

Trump scammed a lot of active duty and veterans as well, and I will never forgive him for that STD comment (nor will anyone else in my family). That said, Gary Johnson took a large slice (for them) of votes from the Republicans, something the Libertarians never did with the military vote.

Exit polling showed Donald Trump taking the veteran vote nearly 2 to 1. On active duty, Hillary Clinton won 50-45. The differences in the two from 100% in the chart are the vote for Gary Johnson (Jill Stein pulled an insignificant number of votes).

The votes would have been divided up by home-of-record though.

Yes. They are a 501(c)(3). No one is going to crack down on a religious organisation for meddling in politics in the USA though (no one cracked down on the AFA for meddling in the Air Force Academy).

That said, Bryan Fischer can still speak his mind on any topic, so long as he is not speaking “officially” for the AFA.

Moving too far out of the state probably won’t be an option for me. But good to hear not everyone’s obsessed with those degrees. The local library doesn’t even seem to want me volunteering with ‘em. :/
