Been having issues with my TP-Link ArcherC9v1 router. Decided to take the jump to dd-wrt even though it’s in beta. There’s a way back to factory firmware of course, otherwise I wouldn’t have taken the chance. Let’s see how this goes.

It sure is extremely clear why Trump family is all he can and will work with. He’s thrown everyone else under the Trump bus and backed over them repeatably.

He never takes any personal responsibility for his own messes. He looks to blame the first person he can.

This was probably well known by everyone in New York that ever tried to work with him in any of his business adventures. But in Washington and political circles he was all new. Guess what, it is now well known in Washington too. Trump is an asshole.

I wonder if the family really likes the guy or they put up with him due to the money? I bet if you can get them to be truthful you could find out they have issues with him too. I bet he is a very cold father and one that needs to be stepped around very softly so as to not bring out the ass in him.

Let’s see who in the family is thrown under the bus as the heat on him builds. He sure isn’t going to go down on his own.

Let’s see who in the family is thrown under the bus as the heat on him builds. He sure isn’t going to go down on his own.

trump is a piece of shit who shouldn’t have gotten more than 10% of the national popular vote.

That was both a moral disgrace and a perfect example of representative politics in action. trump really is more truly representative of what the GOP is than any of the other candidates were.

The general election was the disgrace on the nation, where way the hell too many people and institutions pretended that trump was not a crooked piece of shit.

About D-Day, I just went poking around the website for the D-Day Museum, a facility in England I didn’t even know existed until now but looks pretty cool. Here are some photos:
Link

Anyway, this is what I went looking for:

Which Allied nations took part in the fighting?

The majority of troops who landed on the D-Day beaches were from the United Kingdom, Canada and the US. However, troops from many other countries participated in D-Day and the Battle of Normandy, in all the different armed services: Australia, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, France, Greece, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Poland.

I knew before about some of those countries, but I didn’t know about Belgium, Greece or Norway.

The best thing about Trump? The absolute carnage he is doing to his cronys. Seriously when this nightmare is over (and it will be) how many of these sycophantic ass wipes will ever be able to show their faces in public?

While it may not legally be treason, that is what will be printed on their silly red hats.

I was walking in Wales one day and I came across this grizzled old guy weeping softly. I asked him “why are you crying old fellar?”

He said “See all those boats in the harbour? I built them with all, but am I known as Gwyn the boat builder? See all the houses on the hillside? These hands built them all. Am I known as Gwyn the house builder? NO, but 1 sheep…..”

That’s technically true but the eraosn why it’s unsettled is because of the GOP candidates her family bankrolls.

I don’t know yet what this guy was doing and up to. He tries to blow it all off with his goofy smile and aw-shucks act. It’s going to be interesting to see if he is ever defined.

One thing for sure, Carter Page may be one of the most unique people in this whole mess.

Family are as assholy as he is. They could have stepped away from the “family business” but they chose to part and parcel of it with dear old dad. Fuck them all.

washingtonpost.com

“The nation’s top intelligence official told associates in March that President Trump asked him if he could intervene with then-FBI Director James B. Comey to get the bureau to back off its focus on former national security adviser Michael Flynn in its Russia probe, according to officials.

On March 22, less than a week after being confirmed by the Senate, Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats attended a briefing at the White House together with officials from several government agencies. As the briefing was wrapping up, Trump asked everyone to leave the room except for Coats and CIA Director Mike Pompeo.

The president then started complaining about the FBI investigation and Comey’s handling of it, said officials familiar with the account Coats gave to associates. Two days earlier, Comey had confirmed in a congressional hearing that the bureau was probing whether Trump’s campaign coordinated with Russia during the 2016 race.”

re: #205 Backwoods_Sleuth

has anyone actually believed that nonsense in the last decade or so?

Oh yes, they do. I’ve designed a ton of amplifiers and speakers and never needed “magic” wire for the internals. I’ve tried to explain to people that a speaker driver has a lot of very fine (non-magic) wire in the voice coil, which makes the idea of massively oversized cables ridiculous, but they remain convinced of the value of their “magic” cables. Some folks even swear by special power cables that are supposed to improve the sound (ignoring the solid core wire in the wall and outlet). I guess they have to rationalize the money they’ve already spent.

l’ve noticed that it’s almost impossible to find reasonably priced decent quality cables. Most stores push the massively overpriced Monster cables. Given the profit margin it’s not that surprising but it’s a shame. I’ve also noticed the magic cable madness spreading to video cables and Ethernet cables. Sigh.

I still consider myself an audiophile and have some great systems (some of which I’ve designed myself), but many hobbyists still fall for all the magic products. I suspect that will never change.

Truthfully, I want them to delay and excuse and dodge as long as they can. It makes them look bad and the worse they look to America the better the chances are to get some of them out of Washington next year.

With Radio Shack closed, I go to Fry’s or order online for any of that stuff.

I wondered what happened to Radio Shack. I was by a local store a few weeks ago and it was gone. I had been in it probably two months before and all seemed in order…fully stocked and staffed. After seeing your comment I did a Google search and sure enough they closed a ton of stores. Sounds like they are just about gone. Wow.

Did Pink Floyd predict the future Trump Presidency?

Big man, pig man
Ha, ha, charade you are
You well heeled big wheel
Ha, ha, charade you are
And when your hand is on your heart
You’re nearly a good laugh
Almost a joker
With your head down in the pig bin
Saying ‘Keep on digging’
Pig stain on your fat chin
What do you hope to find
Down in the pig mine?
You’re nearly a laugh
You’re nearly a laugh
But you’re really a cry

Bus stop rat bag
Ha, ha, charade you are
You fucked up old hag
Ha, ha, charade you are
You radiate cold shafts of broken glass
You’re nearly a good laugh
Almost worth a quick grin
You like the feel of steel
You’re hot stuff with a hatpin
And good fun with a hand gun
You’re nearly a laugh
You’re nearly a laugh
But you’re really a cry

Hey you, White House
Ha, ha, charade you are
You house proud town mouse
Ha, ha, charade you are
You’re trying to keep our feelings off the street
You’re nearly a real treat
All tight lips and cold feet
And do you feel abused?
You got to stem the evil tide
And keep it all on the inside
Mary you’re nearly a treat
Mary you’re nearly a treat
But you’re really a cry

No particular reason, except I just heard “Brilliant Mistake” and love that song.

The first two verses have become relevant of late.

He thought he was the King of America
Where they pour Coca Cola just like vintage wine
Now I try hard not to become hysterical
But I’m not sure if I am laughing or crying
I wish that I could push a button
And talk in the past and not the present tense
And watch this hurtin’ feeling disappear
Like it was common sense
It was a fine idea at the time
Now it’s a brilliant mistake
She said that she was working for the ABC News
It was as much of the alphabet as she knew how to use
Her perfume was unspeakable
It lingered in the air
Like her artificial laughter
Her mementos of affairs
“Oh” I said “I see you know him”
“Isn’t that very fortunate for you”
And she showed me his calling card
He came third or fourth and there were more than one or two
He was a fine idea at the time
Now he’s a brilliant mistake

I’m confused. I just found a May 22 WaPo story on Dan Coats that says Admiral Mike Rogers was also asked to push back on the Comey investigations.

I guess today’s article is an addition clearing up Coats’ involvement. Stuff is happening so fast, I may have missed this original revelation.

I don’t think Rogers has been mentioned has he?

I guess we know what Rogers was going to be dropping tomorrow.

Trump asked intelligence chiefs to push back against FBI collusion probe after Comey revealed its existence

President Trump asked two of the nation’s top intelligence officials in March to help him push back against an FBI investigation into possible coordination between his campaign and the Russian government, according to current and former officials.

Trump made separate appeals to the director of national intelligence, Daniel Coats, and to Adm. Michael S. Rogers, the director of the National Security Agency, urging them to publicly deny the existence of any evidence of collusion during the 2016 election.

Coats and Rogers refused to comply with the requests, which they both deemed to be inappropriate, according to two current and two former officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private communications with the president.
