Trump pressed NSA chief to absolve him: report ow.ly

This memo from the NSA is going to be the straw that broke Trump’s fat ass.

I don’t think all the details have come out about it fully. I believe the real truth was exposed in the closed testimony sessions last week and then this was given to Mueller and then it comes out that Mueller is now investigating Trump for obstruction.

All they had to do is take that memo, add it to what Comey said and also what apparently Coats added and a clear pattern of obstruction was coming clear.

The old “The lady doth protest too much, methinks” from Hamlet routine that belies your actual sincerity is going to cost him and the GOP party.

But since they all prove they have no understanding of Shakespeare they do not know they are going down this very path unaware of their undoing. It has only been in the play since the 1600s!

It has also been noticed, by a few of the more perceptive ones, that the rising alt-right is anti-Christian. By which I mean in explicit tone and beliefs. The hard right is splitting between the fundamentalist Christians and what I can only call the secular hard right, which tend to include a lot of young guys.

Well shit. Karen Handel’s street in Roswell is blocked off because someone sent her a suspicious package containing white powder and a threatening letter. Several neighbors received similar items. And she is saying the Alexandria shooter was saying nasty things about her before or during the shooting yesterday. I’m just glad no one was hurt today. Not sure what the white powder is, hopefully it’s flour or baking soda or something like that.

Great. You know, this is the kind of shit that starts fights and tears up families and friendships. Sigh. This shit needs to stop. ALL OF IT.

Karen Handel, neighbors receive envelopes with ‘white powdery substance’ inside

ROSWELL, Ga. - Authorities were called to the neighborhood where Karen Handel lives in Roswell after suspicious envelopes were found in mailboxes Thursday afternoon.

Police say Roxburg Drive off Old Alabama Road in the Country Club of Roswell is shut down while crews investigate.

At least five homes in the neighborhood received an envelope with a “white powdery substance” in it.

The FBI was called in to take the lead on the investigation.

The FBI and Postal Inspectors have a pretty good record of tracking down fools like this. Throw away the key.

Blimp crash at U.S. Open golf tournament.

ESPN - Blimp pilot suffers burns after crash near U.S. Open

Iframe

ERIN, Wis. — The pilot of a commercial blimp that plunged out of the sky and crashed and burst into flames late Thursday morning about a mile from the U.S. Open at Erin Hills was “alert and conscious” as he was flown by helicopter to the hospital, according to a law enforcement officer on the scene.

Paramedics were seen tending to the injured pilot before they wheeled the man into a waiting helicopter marked “Flight For Life.” Authorities told reporters who arrived at the crash site that no one else was on board but the pilot. Patrick Walsh, CEO of AirSign, an advertising firm, identified the pilot to ESPN as Trevor Thompson. Walsh said the crash was due to “a catastrophic failure” of the skin near the top of the ship that caused led to a depressurizing and loss of shape, and it then caught fire in the air.

The US is is a big country, so there may be as many as a dozen leftists remaining who would use ‘bourgeois’ unironically. They are probably all in their high nineties and no longer politically active for that reason.

Meanwhile there are thousands of RWNJs who still think lefties talk like Radio Moscow broadcasts of the 1950s.

Another example of spoofing: here lately, I’ve been getting at least a call every day or two for a CID showing a number on the same local exchange, but it’s fucking telemarketers every time.

That’s making me go back to my longstanding policy to never pick up on a number that’s not already in my contacts; if it is someone not in my contacts and they can’t be bothered to leave a message if I don’t pick up, it must not be that important.
