Air raid sirens with “Important Message” Cadence over the “Hesa Fredrik” (Hoarse Fred) siren system.

First reports are that a quiet test after an equipment upgrade turned out to be in anger.

I was up 3 times during the night, yet somehow managed to totally miss a big fire a block away.

POS driver arrested and facing numerous charges; reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to immediately notify of an accident, and failure to render aid. Additional charges may be added, including possible federal charges.

A pneumatic siren 50 m away on top of a school is hard to miss, especially in summer when you have the windows open. I was up by the time the 3rd 7 second tone sounded.
(Cadence is 7 s tone 14 s silence, repeated)
