And Another Bombshell Drops: Top Trump Organization Executive Asked Putin Aide for Help During Campaign

More lies exposed
Politics • Views: 38,666

Donald Trump and many of his campaign aides have claimed over and over that they had absolutely no dealings with any Russian officials during the 2016 election campaign.

We now know these were all egregious outright lies. And here’s the latest report from the Washington Post about yet another high level contact between the Trump gang and Russian officials: Top Trump Organization executive asked Putin aide for help on business deal.

A top executive from Donald Trump’s real estate company emailed Vladimir Putin’s personal spokesman during the U.S. presidential campaign last year to ask for help advancing a stalled Trump Tower development project in Moscow, according to documents submitted to Congress Monday.

Michael Cohen, a Trump attorney and executive vice president for the Trump Organization, sent the email in January 2016 to Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin’s top press aide.

“Over the past few months I have been working with a company based in Russia regarding the development of a Trump Tower - Moscow project in Moscow City,” Cohen wrote Peskov, according to a person familiar with the email. “Without getting into lengthy specifics. the communication between our two sides has stalled.”

“As this project is too important, I am hereby requesting your assistance. I respectfully request someone, preferably you, contact me so that I might discuss the specifics as well as arranging meetings with the appropriate individuals. I thank you in advance for your assistance and look forward to hearing from you soon,” Cohen wrote.

According to Cohen, this was nothing more than a business deal that didn’t work out. Whether that’s true or not, this shows once again a pattern of blatant dishonesty about the Trump gang’s contacts with Russia — a pattern that just keeps getting more incriminating.

lawhawk  Aug 28, 2017 • 11:55:45am

It also means Mueller’s team has yet another angle to investigate. Everywhere you turn, Trump’s cronies have had contacts with Russians and have lied about it. All this is leading towards still more people needing to lawyer up (where we’re at the point of lawyers needing a team of lawyers because they’re all in over their heads).

The stench of criminality is pervasive among the Trump cabal. Drain the swamp my ass. Trump drained it right into the White House when he took office. His is the mess we’ll be dealing with for a generation to come.

It is interesting to talk with my brother about the alt right and things. Trump as you guys know has tried to make the slippery slope point but my brother brought up an interesting point about what George Washington and the rest of the Founders must be like if you’re a POC especially African-American. We both really seem to be agree that a lot of the problems we’re seeing are from people showing no ability to sympathize with people. I’m just glad we’re on the same page about it. Not surprised though knowing my brother’s character.

Ugh, another acid attack in London after the Notting Hill Carnival:

The Notting Hill Carnival was interrupted Sunday night as a “mild acidic liquid” was spread over a crowd at St Charles Square, injuring at least two patrons.
With about two million people attending the annual festival throughout the weekend, local authorities were given special kits in order to combat acid attacks, which recently have seen an increase. The kits included nitrile gloves, extra water supplies and testing facilities for corrosive substances.

A spokesman from the Metropolitan Police touched on what took place following the attack: “Some of the crowd in the area then quickly dispersed, causing injuries to two people, who have since received treatment from the London Ambulance Service at the scene. Three people have also reported skin irritation injuries, although these are not thought to be serious.”

The attack came after a generally peaceful event, which featured a tribute to the victims of the Grenfall fire where all music was shut off for a moment of silence. The decision was orchestrated by local community groups, alongside Tower survivors group Grenfell United.

No arrests have been made in association with the acid attack and authorities are investigating what took place.

He points out that all of Houston’s petrochemical industry is now shut down, but as a significant portion of the nation’s refining capacity gasoline is likely to go up in price.

His ‘65 Thunderbird is safe on higher ground (gotta remember the important stuff). His Miata ingested a lot of water escaping and he thinks it will need repairs. He moved everything he could to the second floor.

Processed Music Product.

Very much like the unnaturally-colored process cheese product pumped onto nacho chips.

Yuck.

That “American Process Cheese Food Product” cited the other day is a real thing, wording found on the label, IIRC, of stuff blown out of a can by compressed gas

The Nazis were all over the map about sexuality. This is a decent look at it.

Ran across this gem in the comments on an ammosexual blog entry about Australian gun laws:

Maybe the people of Australia should man up . They should start by voting in more intelligent repersenitives , and by not allowing themselves and countrymen to be victums. Out with the people who are stealing their freedoms and what should be their God given right to defend their selves and familys.

I wonder if a different production style would help? For example, this much better version of another bit of pop pablum, originally from Brittany Spears:

(no, I’ve not been able to bring myself to even listen to Ms. Swift’s song, unlike Ms Spears…)

In defense of Ms Swift, she’s a decent songwriter and musician, who has let her management and record company force her into the overproduced Nashville-pop genre, with flashy costumes and gala concert tours, and multi-tracking (maybe Autotuning, too) for recordings.

I liked her a lot better when she was a straight country singer with a guitar and a three-piece backup band.

A few years from now, I predict she’ll fall out of fashion (see which, Linda Ronstadt), reinvent herself, and go back to singing simple country songs with a guitar and a three-piece backup band.
