Politics • Views: 42,630

YouTube

It’s time to sound the warning siren again, folks, because the Republican Party is getting ready for another try at destroying the health care of millions of Americans for no good reason. Jimmy Kimmel understands the issues around this monstrous bill better than most of these clowns.

Jimmy shares his thoughts on Senators Bill Cassidy and Lindsey Graham’s new health “care” bill including why it doesn’t pass Cassidy’s “Jimmy Kimmel Test.”

Great monologue. Jimmy’s far from my favorite late night host but I do love and appreciate how he tries to get his audience to understand the political issues and he’s a terrific father too.

Grassley is just telling more lies. Republicans don’t give a shit about keeping promises to their base. 5 minutes of Fox News reprogramming will take care of that easily.

The GOP is trying to gut the ACA for exactly one reason — to provide a first tax cut for the rich.

Their ‘tax reform’ is intended to be a second tax cut for the rich.

Mark Whitney: I will be calling State Farm today. I will demand that I only pay for insurance coverage for myself, a 55 yo driver, and not for all of those high risk teenagers who are driving up the cost of my insurance. I wonder how that will go over. I will also be calling Cory Gardner and asking him if will be giving up his Government Healthcare if he votes for this barf laden bill.

Did y’all hear about Sept. 23? Apparently, the world is coming to an end.

This is a screen cap from a YouTube (link below - enter at your own risk). This preacher is arguing that on Sept. 23 Jupiter will enter the womb of Virgo (the Virgin), loop around and exit between her legs, while the Sun and Moon stand by to watch. (He draws them in later.)

Sign and wonders!!

Aside from the dubious theological argument, using astrology to predict the Second Coming, his astronomy is way wrong, too. Jupiter takes 12 years to orbit the Sun, so it spends about a year in each of the signs of the zodiac. The looping is retrograde motion, which takes months to complete, but astrology types think it’s significant.

Meanwhile, the even zanier types predict that Nibiru and Jupiter will collide on Saturday, which means something serious is going to happen.

Yawn.

Anyway, here’s the link to the YouTube video mentioned above.

September 23, 2017? What’s going to happen?

I DID it’s just …like, I could see this working for a gorgeous African woman. Someone with the skin color to pull it off and really make it pop. The cut is eh, not my thing for me to wear, but I fully believe there is a woman out there who could make this work and make me go WOW with it in a good way.

Melania is not that woman. She is not anywhere close to that woman. There is a reason she was left off the best dressed lists and she proved it right there.

What gets me is he’s using astrology to determine the Second Coming. I thought that Evangelical Christians consider astrology to be a form of witchcraft, and therefore satanic.

If I model this celestial event on Stellarium, will I bring about the Apocalypse? If the Yellowstone Caldera blows later tonight, you’ll know who to blame.

The series needs at least one gruff, but dedicated character, a young, earnest character, a quirky, probably techie character, a sexy but kickass female character to be the young, earnest character’s partner, and a character of color to complete the team.

Oh, and an elder supervisor character to chastise the team for not doing their jobs by the book.

The page loaded continuously for 7 minutes and I was still not able to scroll it and read the article. Since I did open the page, this counts as a page view toward their advertising stats, though, so the idiots who post those ads actually think they are accomplishing something. One ad was for Breitling watches. It opened their webpage when I tried to close it. I had actually considered buying a Breitling watch, but no way is that going to happen now. Fuck them if they can’t promote their products without being total dicks. We need to hit these obnoxious jammers where it hurts, boycott intrusive advertisers.

Hey, Einsatzgruppen sounds cool. So does Sonderkommando.

So what if the KKK has leadership with titles like Grand Wizard. ////////////

The entire point is that they’ve given themselves inflated titles to perpetuate their hate, bigotry, and spur others to violence. The entire organization is a terrorist group.

It’s like someone going back and saying that bin Laden had a cool title as head honcho of al Qaeda as 1st General Emir.

No one would say that - because he was a fucking terrorist. KKK is a domestic terrorist group. Period.

The titles they gave themselves are irrelevant except to point out who was involved and their role. They are bigots and racists - and a threat to others.

Looks like this guy forgot his steroids. Troopers don’t look like that in Illinois.

It’s fucking Missouri, where cops can kill people with impunity. The system is absolutely rigged to protect cops who kill people (but that’s a problem all over the US, not just in Missouri; it just has happened in Missouri with alarming regularity).

THE TEMPLATE MUST BE FOLLOWED AT ALL TIMES!

Seriously. Check any law enforcement procedural show’s cast of characters, and you can see how each one fits into the standard cast. There are overlaps sometimes, but the basic pattern is there.

There also should be some witty repartee, and if the show lasts long enough, some peeks into the character’s home life.

[Embedded content]

Aside from the dubious theological argument, using astrology to predict the Second Coming, his astronomy is way wrong, too. Jupiter takes 12 years to orbit the Sun, so it spends about a year in each of the signs of the zodiac. The looping is retrograde motion, which takes months to complete, but astrology types think it’s significant.

Meanwhile, the even zanier types predict that Nibiru and Jupiter will collide on Saturday, which means something serious is going to happen.

Yawn.

Anyway, here’s the link to the YouTube video mentioned above.

Crap, I paid all my bills, instead of throwing an end of the world party.

LAURA INGRAHAM (HOST): I learned a lot from you on television, what works and when I didn’t do such a great job. You were a really good mentor to me Bill, and I’ll forever be grateful for you, you know that, and to you. And I really appreciate it.

BILL O’RACIST: Thank you. And I think that’s 95 percent of the women at Fox News [sic] would tell you the same thing.

And the remaining 5% would tell you he’s a serial sexual harassment pervert.

Arkansas Struggles to Deal With Hundreds of Children Illegally Crossing Border From Missouri

A government report released this week shows that enormous walls, rabid coon-hunting dogs, venomous snakes, and other obstacles erected by the Arkansas Immigration Department are doing little to prevent hundreds of unaccompanied Missourian children from illegally crossing the border into Arkansas.

The immigration department’s controversial response to the crisis has been met with criticism from residents of both states. In a recent poll, 100 percent of Missouri residents and nearly 60 percent of Arkansas residents said they opposed the use of tetanus and dangerous animals to deter the children.

“These kids are fleeing what are essentially third world conditions,” Arkansas native Barbara Tompson said. “There’s the rampant government corruption, moonshine cartels, a confusing state motto, and an educational system that’s severely lacking. It’s no wonder the children can’t speak English.”

Sympathy held by those like Tompson falls on deaf ears when it comes to the Arkansas Immigration Department’s director, Patrick Scaggs.

“I’m sick of all the bleeding-heart liberals meddling with the security of this state,” Scaggs said. “We can’t use rusty barbed wire, mutant poison ivy, or genetically engineered wasps? Fine. Get ready for a mile-long line of 10-year-old Missouri punks lining up for your job.”

It has not been determined just how many Arkansas jobs can be performed by 10-year-olds, but the Arkansas Department of Child Labor is compiling data and preparing a report on the subject. Initial findings show a higher than expected average.

The problem is that they see these traits as pluses, not minuses. If you really wanna hurt their fee-fees, tell ‘em to look to their left and their right at the next meeting—because one of those guys is with the FBI.

All main characters must be emotionally damaged in some way, to explain why they act so weird around other people or are so intensely devoted to their job, to the exclusion of all other social activity.

For example, Jethro Gibbs.
