A Beautiful Drone Film: “Tuscany Dawn”

Arts • Views: 36,318

Vimeo

While on tour with Al Jarreau in the 1990s, we had several days off in the Tuscany region of Italy and I got to explore the countryside for miles around (yes, even the steep hills) on a cheapo mountain bike the tour manager bought for me in France. This film brings back those days for me, and I think I even recognize some of the places.

A non-narrative short film of the beautiful landscapes in Tuscany, Italy. The region known for its rolling hills, villages, la dolce vita (the sweet life), vinyards, olives and cypress trees.
This dronefilm is shot on a 2 weeks vacation with my family. Drove out to explore the landscapes of the region, with my drone by early morning, so I could capture Tuscany by dawn.
The entire film was shot on a DJI Mavic Pro drone, with the settings +1, -3, -3 with Neat Video.
Filmed and edited by Bjarke Hvorslev Jensen

So I thought Kelly was supposed to rein in President Man Baby. What has happened? So Trump gets to say any dang thing that comes to his pea brain? And the Republican leadership stays mum.

Why would you think that? YMMV, but my feeling has always been that Kelly was brought in to organize and ride herd over The White House (i.e. the Executive-Branch staff) and not the President personally. Theoretically, perhaps: but by now, Gen. Kelly has got to realize that Trump is a lost cause, and the best he is going to be able to do at the WH is try to keep the leaks and internecine quarrels out of the media, keep the day-to-day governmental “business” running as smoothly as possible, and put a lid on any simmering scandals. Of course, Trump is likely to fuck things up for his CoS just by being Donald Trump, but there you go…

And of course the “Republican leadership” is going to stay quiet: they’re still holding out hope that they can slip the billionaires’ tax break (which is, naturally, their only priority) onto Trump’s desk sometime before the next elections: even if they (finally!) realize what an incompetent President they’ve saddled the country and themselves with…..

I’m laughing at your last paragraph. Trump hates McConnell’s guts and was easily tricked into siding with Pelosi and Schumer over Ryan and McConnell vis-a-vis the debt ceiling. Good luck to the GOP in getting anything substantial out of Trump before Mueller gets to him.

It is what it is. They made a song out of it back then so that you would know what to do. A totally pointless move, as I’ve explained to my kids (they make that point in the Iron Giant). It was meant as a way of controlling the population if a nuclear war actually occurred.

I grew up talking during tennis class about what we would do if the missiles were launched. My view on nukes is that you treat their reality in the same way you treat the possibility of getting in a car crash.

Neal Stephenson uses a similar idea in Seven Eves. Everyone’s been told that they have about 3 years to live. But, to keep the world from going into a complete panic, the governments task people with collecting things about the world, pictures, videos, vegetation samples, DNA. Most of it thrown out, but it gives people a purpose.

The thing that drives me up a fucking wall about this is that the 35% LOVE THIS! They think this is how you SHOULD deal with other countries. It’s not just that they’re stupid. It’s that they’re stuck in high school, where the bullies and jocks get the hot girls and it’s all about DOMINATING!!!

Except Trump’s really only able to dominate people who need him. And a lot of countries are going to stop seeing the US as The Essential Country, because we were only essential to making the postwar world of alliances work. If we can’t be relied on for that, well then, we’re not really essential anymore.

Eventually, the other major countries will start ignoring him. I suspect the response to the US pulling out of the Iran deal will be along the lines of “What country?” Then the response to NK will be for Japan and South Korea to start listening to China.

And thus, America will be made great again.

Ketchup sandwiches and other things stupid poor people eat
This is a very powerful article about the working poor. The title is an ironic riff on the scorn directed at the working poor by self-congratulating status seekers and judgemental conservatives. I did ketchup sandwiches when I was a kid, though mayo was more common. Fried cornbread with molasses was another meal I remember. My mother represented it as a kind of treat. My younger siblings bought into that but I was 11 by then and knew it was really all she could come up with. My 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Buller (who is still alive by the way) used to regularly send packets of soap, toothpaste, and shampoo home with me. I still have food hoarding issues and must fight that impulse, even though I could buy a whole supermarket now if I wanted to. I did buy my own farm, come to think of it.

She Who Must Be Obeyed had a gig tonight with her Americana/Western Swing band. John Burnett, who sits in whenever he is in town and plays with them when he is not on assignment was scheduled to be in Mexico City, but we found out yesterday he was going to be here. John is the best harmonica player in Austin, brilliant. Visited with him and he is going to Puerto Rico on Monday.

NPR got him $3500 in walking around money because there is no power and the entire island is now a cash/barter economy (no ATMs- think about it). I asked him about comms and he said they had arranged a Sat Phone, but that it had not arrived today, as it was supposed to, and they’d try to get him one when he connects in Miami for the San Juan hop.

John’s pretty pissed about the benign neglect exhibited so far by the US Gov’t about how they treat US citizens in PR and Virgin Islands, and he pulls no punches in his reporting. Expect a fair amount of fire and brimstone starting Monday or Tuesday from NPR on the subject.

So, I sliced it up, and it looked like this….

Here are some slices from each end, with some forgettable potato salad and extremely disappointing cole slaw, both from Safeway…

I had bought some barbecue sauces to go with the meat - you know, just in case it was no good? Nobody touched them. Mrs. FBW declared she wanted to eat it till she exploded. The Older Boy gave it two thumbs up, and hinted that he’d buy me a Weber Smokey Mountain smoker for my birfday, and The Younger Boy made me very happy when he said that he likes ALL my barbecue just as it is, with no sauce (and he LOVES barbecue sauce!).

We’ll see how long this lasts. I suspect a lot will be gone by tomorrow morning….

I confess, I had no idea whether it would be good, or dreck. I do think it could benefit from more time at a lower temp, though. Mostly it was a bit above 300, as per the recipe, but I know that the Pros generally go closer to the 225-250 range, and almost twice the time. Hard to do in a Weber kettle, though! Choking it down below 300 is on the hairy edge of putting the fire out completely!

We did mayonnaise sandwiches when I was a kid; if we were lucky, we had a slice of American cheese to put in them. I would also cover a piece of bread in barbecue sauce and stick it in the microwave for 10 seconds. Sometimes, late at night, I would make a ball of dough with flour, sugar, and water, and eat it.

I don’t have an issue with hoarding. Mine’s knowing when to stop eating. I’m not huge, but I’m about 45 pounds overweight, and I cannot eat the right amount to lose it. I’m also not overweight enough to qualify for any kind of gastric surgery.

Edit: After reading the article a bit, I will say we weren’t that poor. But my parents had three teenagers, and one serving of anything just didn’t feel like enough. I did go with my dad to mow yards so we would have money to eat that night.

Peanut butter and butter (margarine) sandwiches when I was a girl. God, that was like trying to swallow a stick of margarine. My mother told me as an adult that it was because she didn’t like us eating so much jelly, but I rather doubt it. We also had lunchmeat sandwiches out of the cheaper cuts of meat—bologna, pepper salami and olive loaf. And the ubiquitous 25 cents a loaf, completely full of air, white bread from the grocery store. I can’t eat any of that stuff today because of the bad food memories.

On the other hand, I rather miss the pot of pinto beans and ham hocks my mother would make when it was cooler. Except it was pretty salty, probably not especially healthy today.

ETA: My dad growing up on the farm (sharecropping) used to take butter sandwiches to school. Just butter. We kids were given to believe we had it good because our sandwiches had peanut butter on them as well.

I still cook pinto beans, though without the ham hocks. Cornbread and some kind of greens (usually fresh spinach) complete the picture. Fried potatoes used to be required as well but I have learned to do without them. My daughters know the back story, of course, but they still see my fondness for cheap but nutritious food as an eccentricity. To me it recalls my mother’s ingenuity and dedication in quelling the pangs of hunger

6 hours later - 4 in the Weber, and 2 in the oven - and the brisket is stuck at 170 degrees. It doesn’t seem to want to go up to 195, like the book says.

My family was comfortably middle class, but certain members of it ate peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches by choice. I shudder (still).

Interesting article but I assume that many of those Conservatives either are poor themselves (red states take more from the Federal government than blue states) or were raised poor. Their ire isn’t against White poor folks on the dole but targeted against those Black/Brown folk who have the temerity to need Federal assistance from time to time.

He was a hero in so many ways. I love baseball. Even was at a game last night. Didn’t get in time for the anthem though. To me though, the experience last night was what America should be all about, I was with my folks and my sister in law’s sister and her husband. The latter two are immigrants. Although their native countries aren’t big baseball countries, they enjoy going to the games and I consider them family as they do me. They’re the human face of why I proudly defend immigrants.

Re: the National Anthem. I’ve always stood for it and I honestly find it a moving experience as I feel my heart beats. But I also feel one should have the freedom not to stand. People talk about how these athletes are disrespecting the troops. Uh guys, we fought against totalitarian regimes that mandated patriotism. What separates us from them if we’re going to be attacking people who choose not to stand. Regimes like Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Saddam’s Iraq, and yep Kim’s North Korea mandated patriotism. I’m much more bothered by a President who has said he liked service members who didn’t get captured or who attacked the ethnicity of a judge judging his case than someone who chooses to bring attention to what they see as an important issue. People have been told “protest peacefully and quietly” and I can think of nothing more peaceful and quiet than kneeling during the National Anthem. I mean I get it if you don’t like it but free speech does not mean popular speech. I respect the sacrifices our military has made which is exactly why I strongly support the right to kneel. To me, there’s no contradiction at all with that.

So if you have a problem with players kneeling for the SSB, then organize a boycott of the NFL until they pass a league rule making it mandatory to stand for the National Anthem.

I really despise the idea that the Pledge of Allegiance, the National Ensign, or the National Anthem are touted almost exclusively by conservatives (but not by all conservatives) as “respect for the troops or veterans.”

Respect is earned, not given, and being a veteran is no more or less worthy of respect than a nurse, a politician, a farmer, or anyone else.

Title 4 of the USC outlines the patriotic symbols and customs of the nation. Nowhere in that title is enforcement authority for failure to follow the guidelines (and they are guidelines) of the Flag Code, the symbols of government, the National Anthem, &c.

In what one could argue as the nation’s last existential war (WW2), the Supreme Court held in West Virginia Board of Education v. Barnette 1943 that the government cannot compel salutes to the American flag or compel recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance (which didn’t have that “Under God” part at the time either when millions of troops were fighting a war).

The best way to honour troops or veterans if that is what someone wants to do is hold the government’s feet to the fire and demand it keep its promises. “Thank you for your service” is not honouring the troops. I appreciate the sentiment, but has no more force than wishing someone “Merry Christmas.”

De nada.

My village board has me lead recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance before the start of board meetings (personally I would rather just get to government business but I am not going to raise a stink about it), because I’m the veteran on the board. (We used to have four.) They do not object to me dropping the “Under God” part when I start the Pledge. As far as I’m concerned, anyone could do that (thinking about that, I might make a suggestion to the board that portion of the agenda be opened up to anyone attending the meeting.)

If you look around on YouTube, you can find a large number of videos of city council meetings where (almost always a Republican) will try to abuse authority as a mayor our councilmember and have someone ejected or arrested for failure to stand for the Pledge or recite it. (There are also many videos of councilmembers who file out when someone other than a Christian gives an invocation.)

Like The Big Orange Tool in the White House.

I haven’t read through the entire thread dp maybe someone has posted the tweet. Local news showed a tweet where Trump was saying this morning the fans of NFL football should reuse to go to the games and it would force the change in owners making the players stand and be good little boys.

I bet the NFL is just loving that directive.

Americans ofttimes show up as real dumb bunnies on polls:

80% of Americans Support Mandatory Labels on Foods Containing DNA (Goes to Consumer Affairs, more at the link):

According to a recent survey (available in .pdf form here) by the Oklahoma State University Department of Agricultural Economics, over 80% of Americans said they would support “mandatory labels on foods containing DNA,” roughly the same number that support the mandatory labeling of GMO foods “produced with genetic engineering.”

Oklahoma State’s “Food Demand Survey,” called FooDS, is an online monthly survey which “tracks consumer preferences and sentiments on the safety, quality, and price of food at home and away from home with particular focus on meat demand,” according to the survey itself.

If conservatives who make a religion out of the US flag want to boycott the NFL, they absolutely have the right to do so. While they’re at it, they can boycott other sports to which this is also spreading.

I suppose if they really wanted to “stick it to the libs,” they could start watching curling competitions on Canadian television. (Nothing against curling or Canada, but I imagine a conservative sputtering and choking on that idea.)

Like most conservative boycotts, it wouldn’t last more than a week, but the whigning would last for a long long time.

He really did. And as dumb as he is, he’s only going to double down, which will make things worse.

I sincerely hope he’s enjoying the new experience of people from all over the country telling him to go fuck himself. He’d better get used to it.

Maybe this is the little Trump mess that finally changes a lot of minds about being quiet about Trump. Maybe this makes people more aware about his real messes and they start to realize he is in way over his head and he doesn’t have the personality and mental makeup needed to be in the White House.

And then that doubt builds and the Mueller Reporting begins.

America: “You can fuck with our elections, you can fuck with our health insurance, you can get us to the brink of another war, maybe nukes…but you’ve gone too far when you mess with MY NFL!

It is often the small things that bring down the big thing.

Well, I’m not much of a sportsball fan, but millions are. NFL games tend to be sold out even late in the season when a team is doing horribly.

I suspect if any significant boycott of teams by conservatives developed, liberal fans would just say “good, more tickets for us.”

My sister said that some local schools cancelled certain sports programs designed to teach boys football because the parents were no longer allowing their children to participate. Unless they figure out how to prevent brain damage, the sport may ultimately die out for other reasons. and not because they refuse to stand for the national anthem.

Personally, I am all in favor of eliminating any recreational activity that, by its very nature, is designed to cause brain damage. Even with the argument that adults should be free to engage in such activity, the possibility that CTE could lead to violent behavior and poor impulse control— such as with OJ Simpson — should be sufficient to discourage this sport.

Tim Tebow was mediocre at best. And that had a lot to do with why people mocked him: even though he really wasn’t that great, the sports media covered him obsessively because of his public persona rather than his athletic prowess, and a lot of NFL fans resented that with Tebow receiving the brunt of the disdain. It was probably a bit unfair to Tebow, but that’s how it goes sometimes.

Couple of things…

The locking of arms and standing in unity; okay. I get it. It is showing a unified response to the comments of Donald Trump. But I think it is a weak response. When Kap started with the protest a year ago, there was a purpose. Of so much of the conversations by pundits and statements by NFL owners, how many of them have gotten to the root of this issue? How many are referencing racism and police brutality? Everyone at that Klan, er Trump rally heard the dog whistle. This must be stood up to with force. How many times have we seen Charles comment on how ignoring these people only emboldens them. Locking arms isn’t enough. I would love to see a group of players participate in a “die-in” during the anthem today. How ‘splodey would heads get on that.

Tebow was a below marginal QB talent, with great talent around him. Had a great coaching staff that used what he could do. People didn’t mock Tebow for taking praying, they were mocking the people all in on Tebow. It “proved” to some of these people that God was helping out Tebow(and there were some miracles for his team). The supporters were being mocked for their reactions to Tebow.

Kapernick is a mid-level NFL QB. #13-20. As good or better than half of the starters in the league now. He was the backup in San Fran a few years ago. Starter Alex Smith got hurt, Kap comes in and leads team to the Super Bowl. Had a chance to win the game. Fourth down pass was just incomplete that would have won the game.

re: #188 HappyWarrior

Yep.

Reading up further on that, it turns out the reasoning given for states to compel patriotic speech or gestures was founded in “Gee, Hitler is making Jehovah’s Witnesses do this or be arrested” so US states started doing it as well.

In the West Virginia case that overturned such laws, a JW’s children were suspended from school in accordance with state law. The law would also hold if you didn’t send your children to school you were guilty of fostering truancy.

On consulting a lawyer, that lawyer recommended they send their children to school every day, and force the school to expel them every day (making it the state’s problem, not the parents).

The parents sued, the state fought it all the way to the Supreme Court. On the side of the parents were the PTA, the ACLU, the American Federation of Women’s Clubs. On the side of the state was the American Legion.

The state’s and American Legion’s argument rested on a previous case that upheld such laws in a lower court. The lawyer for the parents and the support from the groups behind them was the decision was a bad one and needed to be overturned. (Thanks, Wikipedia)

It’s about “comply with what we want.”

By the way, today is Gold Star Mothers and Families Day. If you’re interested, Donald Trump did release a proclamation declaring the day (I am actually surprised). Unsurprisingly, he made it about those who fell in battle and had little to say about Gold Star Families.

The ironic thing is that by butting his head into this, Trump has pretty much guaranteed that the NFL will never discipline players for kneeling for the national anthem. That kind of rule wouldn’t have gone well before Trump got involved, but now? If the NFL and its owners kowtowed to Trump, it would blow up the league and make the 2020 CBA negotiations between the NFL and the NFLPA even more acrimonious.

Plenty of folks are already boycotting the NFL over Kaep and CTE.
Jay Z reportedly turned down the offer to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show.
Most folks I know having changing opinions and viewing habits. Most of that has happened in the last 5 years.

See some of the responses here:

The NFL has been especially problematic as sports leagues go, for a while now. For many POC, there’s generally been much more respect for the NBA’s positions in areas where the shield has been super ugly.

The sport and league are far from dead but this isn’t the shiny object of desire, the great American sports business of decades past that liberals and conservatives are going to do battle for.
It is kinda amusing that 45 is kicking them while they are already down. Typical bully bullshit.

Likelihood of Assassination

black and white gun showing odds of trump being assassinated

If you want to talk about Presidents not being able to fulfil their full term in office, then assassination is the darker departure route for the commander-in-chief.

Previous assassinated Presidents have included Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy. Do you fancy Trump being added to that list at 100/1?

Even Money On Trump Being Impeached

US Presidents resigning before their time in office is complete is something that has happened more than once before. Think Richard Nixon and Watergate, plus Bill Clinton and Monica “I did not have sexual relations with that woman” Lewinsky.

Bookmakers are offering Evens on Trump being impeached or resigning before his first term has finished.

Nuclear War

A more depressing set of odds are on Trump starting World War III. Fortunately, relations between the US and Russia appear to be better than ever with Trump and Putin buddying up on the global arena.

However, Trump’s attitude towards China is less amicable. Even former close aides of Trump have suggested his temper could be enough to launch a nuclear warhead. 250/1 on offer that Trump does bring the apocalypse.

re: #225 Unshaken Defiance

I can not watch any of them. Rarely is it anything but aggravating, or worse, enervating. Just nothing to be learned apart from how low political discussion has gone in broadcast media.

I have thick skin. And I always try to keep things in some kind of order of perspective. I know the roles people play and I look at much of it as bad acting. There is a certain level of cynical humor I try to pull out of it.

Humans and their behavior fascinate me. It is one reason why I am not a big sci-fi or fantasy fan and go for the black comedy and dystopian forms of ‘entertainment.’

I love Observing people and what they are capable of doing. As we often say too many times these days: “You can’t write that!”

Plus, I like some of the guests and I want to see how they take on the Rich Lowery types of the world and how others see Trump.

I try so hard to not let it really bother me so I can get the little bit of education and comedy out of it.

Pretty safe bet for the house, since they would likely not have to pay off in a nuclear apocalypse.

Yep makes sense. My dad’s mom grew up near what would become Three Rivers Stadium and my mom’s dad always told me how the Rooneys did their players right and I just loved the smashmouth style of play.

Unshaken Defiance  Sep 24, 2017 • 8:26:01am

I’m so not a fan of the NFL. If you recall my past comments, well pretty harsh at times. They are what they are. Among those things is people equal under our law. Equal on or off the field. That’s our morals. Our cultural ethic so to speak with a full admission it’s aspirational. Far from accomplished.

Between that guy that became President after Obama and the NFL I’ll take the NFL. These guys that only like protests that are convenient and out of sight really deliberately miss the whole 1st A concept.

Yes. Here is the link to my local PBS station WHYY. I am pretty sure it will take you to the main PBS website.
whyy.org

Nebraska Educational Television will take you to the site, with four streaming options (broadcast, explicit, Spanish, and Vietnamese)

netnebraska.org

I still haven’t decided if I want to watch it. Neither my mother nor sister are. Kind of hits too close to home.

Blue state callers are crucial. Reminding your senators they are standing up for the right thing and you appreciate that is important.

My calls were futile, but I gave the opposite (I am disappointed and I don’t appreciate you value money over your constituents).

BERLIN (AP) - Exit polls suggest Merkel’s conservative bloc finishes first in #Germany election, with around 33 percent support.

which means still enough for Germany’s two centrist parties to muddle on with a Grand Coalition. Things will get hairy when we see a situation like that in Spain or the Netherlands, where the two centrists parties could come up with a majority together and have to turn to extreme right or left parties to cut deals.

Right now, that is neither necessary nor likely, as no other party would even consider governing in a coalition with the extreme right AfD or the extreme left Linke Partei

Hint: Taking a knee isn’t one of them.

By the way, if I am going to be a pedant about it, not standing during the National Anthem in your living room violates the Flag Code. I’ll bet the number of whingers on Twitter today who do stand for that at home approaches zero. (The Code doesn’t say when or how the Anthem is played.)

Other things HuffPo didn’t list: Standing and facing the flag when it’s lowered or raised. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone do that here when I lower or raise either mine or those owned by the village.

My wife said the entire FOX NFL crew went after Trump. She said Terry Bradshaw was especially animated.

Ditto CBS Inside the NFL. No equivocation at all.

Watching Texans @ Pats. No Texans kneeled it appeared but they were locked arm in arm. Quite a few Patriots took the knee, the rest locked arm in arm. Gotta say the guy who sang the anthem (anthem booed for a few seconds before and after by the Pats crowd) had some amazing pipes and may have been the best performance of the song I’ve ever heard.

So, this is interesting:

Fewer than three in 10 Americans — 29% — hold a favorable view of the Republican Party according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS. That is down 13 percentage points from March and is the lowest mark for the GOP since CNN began asking the question in 1992.

GOP favorability is within the margin of error from the crazification factor. The Democrats are at 41-51 favorability, so underwater but not the 31 points that the GOP is.

Also of note: 61% polled believe Trump does not deserve re-election.

There’s an irony about the Alt-Right and their slogan “taking the red pill.” It’s an obvious term from the Matrix Trilogy, but it seems these Right Wing Trolls missed a hidden multicultural message from the films. In the movies, most of the heroes were from diversified backgrounds. Morpheus, Lock, Link, The Oracle are black. Mifune, Ghost, Seraph, The Keymaker are asian. Plus the women are the strong female types like Trinity, Niobe, Zee, Switch. Zion population were ethically mixed. Even one of the directors of the Matrix is transgendered ( Lilly Wachowski). All those multicultural ideas from the films are diametrically opposed to what The Alt-Right stands for, which is a straight, white male hegemony.

Police say a male gunman wearing a neoprene ski mask opened fire at Burnette Chapel Church of Christ, killing a woman and injuring six others. One man who confronted the shooter was violently pistol whipped. All victims have been taken to the hospital.

A male member of the church exited the sanctuary, got a gun from his vehicle and confronted the shooter, who then shot himself, according to Don Aaron, spokesman for police.

Aaron said police have identified the gunman, who is believed to be a resident of Rutherford County, and will be releasing his name shortly.

All of the wounded have been taken to area hospitals, the fire department says. The majority are older adults. “All of the wounded except for one is over the age of 60,” the Nashville Fire Department said.

When you think about it, though, the religious right in particular is extremely heavy on authoritarianism. They preach a strict system of submission - women submit to men or burn in hell; men submit to pastors or burn in hell; pastors ostensibly submit to Jesus, but we all know the rules don’t apply to the people in charge. Everything going on in the wingnut right derives in some form or fashion from hyper-conservative evangelicalism.

There is little doubt of that. Evangelicals try to trace their history back to colonial days to make themselves into some kind of religious heirs to the mantle of The One True Christianity. I’ve got news for you: No modern incarnation of Christianity is the One True Christianity, because there’s no such thing. There’s a few core beliefs, and the rest of it is entirely up to your conscience and the cultural context.

Also yet another example of their cluelessness on how insurance works. We pay into unemployment insurance, just like car/home/health insurance. There is no gift involved. Should one be shamed for accepting payment from an insurance company to pay for car damage after an accident?

Even if they were treated as public utilities, what does that change? I don’t have a fundamental right to gas service. If I don’t pay my bill, they shut it off. Similarly, you don’t have a fundamental right to social media. If you’re an asshole, they can ban you. Simple as that.

My dad was overflowing with praise for Hair Furor yesterday when I called, talking about him calling for the players to be fired. But I guaran-fucking-tee you he’ll keep watching the games. Even if they stopped, so many more people will continue watching because they don’t care - or actively support the movement - that it won’t even matter. You’re losing whatever tenuous grasp on reality you still had, ya wingnut dotards.

There was a real bad call in the Texans/Pats game that forced a Texans field goal rather than the touchdown they most likely would have gotten. Good holding call was overturned. O’Brien about had a stroke over it. Ultimately cost them the game.

Stupid NE always has all the luck. I keep on hoping for them to fade. BTW I can’t help but to like your QB, Watson. He seems like a great kid and I admire the way Savage handled being benched for him after his agent mouthed off. I can’t stand NE. I have a lot of friends including people here who are fans of that team but man I can’t stand them. And then Brady, Belichick, and Kraft make it even easier by supporting the orange prick.
