NBC Reports That Rex Tillerson Called Trump a “Moron” (Which He Is) - Tillerson Doesn’t Deny It

The big news today from the Trump clown show is that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson considered quitting after Trump’s infamously ugly speech to the Boy Scouts of America, and in a meeting with Cabinet and Pentagon officials referred to the Orange Oligarch as “a moron.”

Which, of course, he is.

The tensions came to a head around the time President Donald Trump delivered a politicized speech in late July to the Boy Scouts of America, an organization Tillerson once led, the officials said.

Just days earlier, Tillerson had openly disparaged the president, referring to him as a “moron,” after a July 20 meeting at the Pentagon with members of Trump’s national security team and Cabinet officials, according to three officials familiar with the incident.

NBC goes on to report that Tillerson had to be talked out of resigning by Trump’s clean-up boy, Mike Pence.

So today, Tillerson got in front of the cameras (a rare occasion), denied he ever considered quitting, and heaped praise on Trump in a nauseatingly obsequious fashion.

However, notice that he didn’t actually deny he called Trump a moron. Instead he said, “I’m not going to deal with petty stuff like that.”

Because, of course, Trump is a wretched, undeniable moron of the first water.

Further evidence of Trump’s moron-hood:

I rest my case.

Watching the premier last night of the new season of Finding Your Roots reminded me yet again of how young we are as a political entity and as local societies settled around this continent.

Over only a few centuries, Europeans (and their African slaves) displaced the previous human populations, or subsumed the remainder of what was left of those populations.

When we look at other places in the world and see what look like (and probably are) intractable problems of ethnic conflicts, we can’t really relate to them.

However, I now believe we are seeing similar intransigency emerging on this continent, with geographic regions now reifying one hundred to two hundred year old divisions of people.

Because of our high mobility we’ve not really had long term isolation of any region of about state size. But most of this continent is very recently settled by the non-Native Americans.

Our political parties are not especially integrative, and it’s pretty clear in the last election that the urban/rural divide in this country is quite real.

It’s easy for me, sitting here in California, to expect a progressive agenda in my local political bodies. But if I were in North Platte or Lubbock it would be a different story.

And I guess that is what I am getting at - all those people in the panhandle of Nebraska who so much support Trump are not going anywhere, most of them. So they will continue down their current path, and the regionalization of America will be carved out of us-vs-them divisions pitting poorer rural regions against urban money centers.

None of this is new, but I think with all the reification that modern communications brings that regionalization will also mean more pronounced regionalizations in beliefs.

Diversity in beliefs is not an inherently bad thing, but our political system gives too much weight to the veto power of political minorities in issues (like spending) that really ought to be resolved by simple majority vote.

For all this rambling, I guess what I’m saying is that the Trumpers are not really going to change, and indeed, I expect them to double down for the rest of their lives.

OK, let’s start a pool as to when Trump tantrum-fires Tillerson.

Will it be:

1) Friday, for the maximum TV ratings
2) Sunday morning, when Trump is watching the whole NFL kneel in defiance of him, and he has a choleric fit
3) Next Monday morning, when his handlers are dealing with the Monday morning email crush, and leave Trump alone for 15 minutes, and he gets board and wants to stir up some more shit
4) Two weeks from now, after a few more press releases mouthing “full confidence” and “fake news” and “we’re best friends”
5) Two months from now, after he makes Tillerson dance like a monkey, sending him to insignificant countries to humiliate him publicly
6) (3-6 months) BUT - timed so as to be right before an important event where Tillerson is about to be honored, so as to inflict the maximum emotional damage and shame Tillerson in front of his family and friends
7) Tonight, after the Las Vegas event, because there are no adults with him on Air Force One

Place your bets, people!

This shit….

NRA board member Ted Nugent gives credence to Alex Jones’ Las Vegas mass shooting conspiracy theories

ALEX JONES (HOST): We’re going to break here in just a moment so please stay with us. Again, Ted Nugent’s our guest. But just briefly, have you seen the information coming out? They’re looking at radicalization. Our FBI sources told us Monday, and it’s now being confirmed, that there was Antifa and pro-Islamic garbage in there and his live-in, I guess common law wife was traveling to Dubai and other areas, he was wiring money all over to Islamic countries. This looks really bad.

NUGENT: Nothing would surprise me at this time. I believe that the law enforcement heroes of the Las Vegas jurisdiction are literally doing the greatest job I may have ever witnessed in not only stopping the shooting but also the investigation. But you’re right, Alex, we have to be suspicious. Our Founding Fathers and all citizens of America who knows that this is a sacred experiment in self government. We must always be suspicious. We must always question the information that we’re given and that’s why I salute you because you are an ass-kicking, we-the-people, Concord Bridge American patriot who asks questions. We need to demand honesty and transparency and by shining light on cockroaches and constantly questioning information that we’re given.

I caught this on the same subject at TheDrive

The Army officer told The Journal that unspecified hackers had breached the phones and Facebook accounts of six troops under his command. One possibility is that Russian officials were looking to gauge the exact size, composition, and location of NATO forces in the area.

However, additional incidents the newspaper uncovered point to a broader and potentially more serious campaign to harass alliance personnel and potentially confuse or disrupt operations. Since January 2017, troops in the Baltics and Poland have reported apparent intrusions into their personal phones where hackers mined their data, erased information, uploaded music, and remotely activated applications.

Most worryingly, a source told The Journal about an incident in Latvia, where a stranger, likely a Russian intelligence agent, approached an American service member at a sporting event and then began dropping personal detail about them and their family in conversation. The same source mentioned a similar interaction on a train in Poland.

BAN HOMOSEXUAL CONDUCT.
BATHROOM BILLS!

These reactionary know-nothings think banning (hence making them illegal) is going to work, but they say gun control wouldn’t? How about we test this?

We have a way to do that. There are entire countries that banned guns, and there’s data driven from that.

There are also states in the US that have strong gun laws and those that have lax laws (and lax enforcement). We can get data from all that too.

Turns out that the states with strong laws and enforcement have lower death rates from firearms than the weak states. We can also trace a significant percentage of crimes/deaths/injuries from firearms in the states with strong enforcement to purchases of firearms in states with lax enforcement/laws.

In other words, that person is … what’s the phrase I’m looking for…. full of shit.

Trump writ small. A cheap con man from Brooklyn with a hole where his soul should be.

Points of confluence:
—John reacts with screeching rage when called on his lies
—He claims to be brilliant, but when challenged to really demonstrate it (in law school), he flunks and gets all Fs
—He makes his way in the world by picking vulnerable marks and bamboozling them
—He makes nonstop grandiose claims about what a successful hero he is
—His whole worldview revolves around his dick and what a nonstop ladie’s man sex machine he is
—He will go to absurd lengths to extract what he sees as vengeance from any perceived slight
—He leaves behind a legacy of shattered lives and stolen money

Heh, from wikipedia

The term imbecile was once used by psychologists to denote a category of people with moderate to severe intellectual disability, as well as a type of criminal.[1][2] The word arises from the Latin word imbecillus, meaning weak, or weak-minded. It included people with an IQ of 26-50, between “idiot” (IQ of 0-25) and “moron” (IQ of 51-70).[3]

After reading this, I’m gonna miss Petty even more.

“In 1985, I released an album called Southern Accents. It began as a concept record about the South, but the concept part slipped away probably 70 percent or so into the album. I just let it go, but the Confederate flag became part of the marketing for the tour. I wish I had given it more thought. It was a downright stupid thing to do.”

A sticking point for Petty was when fans began to bring Confederate flags to shows. In 2010, Fred Mills of BLURT recalled seeing Petty live in 1990 (with Lenny Kravitz opening, no less) when a fan tossed a Confederate flag onstage.

“A certain yahoo element had already been making its presence in the crowd known, emitting whoops and raising beer cups whenever Petty would make a regional reference. It was starting to feel like a NASCAR rally in the arena. Now, as the band eased into the song’s signature piano intro, somebody tossed a folded-up object onto the stage,” said Mills. “Petty walked over, picked it up, and started unfolding it: a rebel flag, symbol of the Confederacy—and of a whole lot more. He froze, uncertain as to what he should do. Well, wave it proudly at all your fellow Southerners, you could almost hear the collective thought ripple through the air. Instead, Petty walked back to the mic, still holding the flag, and slowly began to speak, talking about how on the Southern Accents Tour a few years ago they’d included a Confederate flag as part of the stage set, but since then he’d been thinking about it and decided that it had been a mistake because he understood maybe it wasn’t just a rebel image to some folks. As a low rumble of boos and a few catcalls came out of the crowd, Petty carefully wadded the flag up and concluded, ‘So we don’t do’—nodding at the flag—’this anymore.’ Glaring at it one last time and then chucking it back down, he glanced at the band then launched directly into the next song.”

Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN), who hasn’t been afraid to speak his mind about Trump or his administration lately, told reporters Wednesday that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense James Mattis, and Chief of Staff Gen. John Kelly are “those people that help separate our country from chaos,” whereas others in the administration act without considering national security.

Chaos is getting closer.

Growing up in northern Wisconsin we had fewer choices. There was Taco Bell aka Hell, Taco John’s and Chi-Chi’s. Taco Johns was the best of the three, for what little that was worth. Now there are quite a few more options, heck there’s a little taco shop going into an old coffee shop downtown that will probably be far better.

That’s funny in relation to the above-mentioned Picatinny. A shiny new 2-star commander got to go to a nearby house and give condolences for the cat that had been sleeping on the daughter’s bed. The general’s round (3-inch IIRC) came through the roof.

It makes it quite clear (OK, very plausible at least) that Mueller and his team are going for the big one — aiding and abetting the commission of a criminal act. Trump, Jr, Kushner and Manafort (at least) all in serious jeopardy, and Trump’s documented history of lies should be relevant in court.

Take your time, Mueller; get it right. You are going down on history. And Trump is going down. (You heard it here, not first though!)

But but but maybe you are in the auto parts store, throwing things around?

Ask the seal; he’ll probably remember.

This penguin decides to take a snowmobile trip. So he takes off on his sled over the snow. A while into the trip the engine starts acting up. He is near a small town so he limps the sled into town.
He pulls up to the garage in the middle of town. He says to the walrus mechanic, “I’m having some trouble with my ride, can you take a look?”. The walrus says, “Yeah I can look. Give me an hour.”. The penguin asks him, “Ok cool. Where can I get something to eat? A good fish sandwich maybe?”.The Walrus tells him there is a nice place over 2 blocks. The penguin takes off.
Little over an hour later the penguin comes back to the garage and asks the walrus, “Get a chance to look at my sled?”. The walrus turns to him and says, “Yeah, looks like you blew a seal.”. The penguin says while wiping his mouth, “No no, that’s just tarter sauce.”.
