Le sigh.

Black man who wielded flamethrower during white nationalist rally in Charlottesville is arrested

latimes.com

Here are some guys using a seriously bad-ass flamethrower against some Nazis in 1944. Fortunately this was outside the Virginia authorities’ jurisdiction and there is a statute of limitations anyway.

Sickening: right wingers acting sanctimonious about Harvey Weinstein, while supporting admitted sexual predator Donald Trump.

Weinstein is a particularly smelly piece of poo they can fling at the DNC to distract from their party’s own Sexual Predator-in-Chief.

And the reason the RW media are in a full frenzy over this is so they can mention “Clinton supporter and donor Harvey Weinstein” at every possible occasion.

It’s barely even worth complaining about anymore. The idea has already become strongly ingrained that there’s one version of morality, in which everything is permitted, for conservatives and another version, in which you can’t do anything right, for everyone else. I feel like there should be a name for it but nothing I come up with is snappy enough. Reverse morality? Situational morality? Nihilists don’t give a fuck?

I would like to see ads that tie into the blatant hypocrisy. Cut one for everything they do. Run a clip of KAC (hehe) complaining about Hillary not prostrating herself over Weinstein, followed by a couple of minutes of clips of Trump’s mouthpieces defending g the pussy tape. No voice over, just the word Hypocrite on screen. Works for just about everything they do.

Ophelia could become the strongest post-tropical system to rake Ireland since Hurricane Debbie in 1961, which killed 18 people, stripped almost 25 percent of the trees in some areas and caused $40 million in damages at the time, according to Weather Underground.

Never saw it before, but after looking up the synopsis, all I can tell you is that, in current modern America, the movie would’ve likely had a far more tragic end, as I’m sure the thing that causes Shatner’s character’s downfall would be disbelieved even well after the barely averted atrocity in the movie was fulfilled instead.

If only it were that easy. We know though how willing media nitwits are to accept GOP framing at the drop of a hat, and refuse to listen to Dems even if we give them the perfectly sized soundbite. The fact that this scandal has become all about HIllary in specific, and solely targeted at Dems on the wider scale shows what I mean. And apparently nothing we can do to shift the conversation will ever work, because the narrative is set and carved in stone for good.

WE HATES THEM MY PRECIOUS!

Rachel Marie of Macomb not only managed to snag one of only 20 packets of the super rare sauce, but she managed to parlay it into a car.

The driven negotiator managed to find a person willing to trade the single Szechuan sauce packet for a 2000 Volkswagen Golf Mk4.

“He drove the car over so I know it was running,” she said, without revealing the man’s name. “He was a dedicated fan of the show and already had a second car.”

Business Insider interviewed the man, who did not give permission for his name to be used. He justified the seemingly imbalanced trade by telling the outlet he “just needed me some friggin sauce!!”

Currently, Hurricane Ophelia has 85 mph winds. Coupled with its forward motion (nearly 40 mph) that means anything on the immediate right side of the hurricane’s forward motion is close to category III (125 mph).

The last time a hurricane made a direct strike on Ireland it caused significant damage, destroyed about 20% of the trees, and killed a number of people.

So, while Trump was busy playing golf yet another day and wondering how many more illegal supreme court seats he could nominate for (Gorsuch in the stolen seat), Puerto Rico still has 85% without power.

Trump’s also guaranteed premium hikes for tens of millions of Americans and higher costs - which predominantly hit GOP controlled states more than other states.

Trump just fucked over his own marks. I can’t help but laugh at the irony of all this.

Laughing keeps from crying at the fact that there are still so many people out there who think Hillary would have been as bad or worse than Trump.

The people who think that are pathological. There’s no other way around that because on objective facts, there is no comparison. We know that health care wouldn’t be assaulted the way it is under Trump. We know that Hillary wouldn’t be fucking over our allies and cozying up to Russia and giving away our national security to Putin.

We know this, and yet Trump supporters think that Hillary and Democrats are liars pushing fake news all while the noose closes in around Trump’s people.

Which makes me wonder how many of them are actually Americans (at least concerning those in on-line fora).

While Sen. Sanders didn’t give much help (if any) to Hillary Clinton, he did urge his supporters at the end of the primary cycle to vote for Hillary Clinton. The overwhelming majority of Sanders supporters (as I can see from polling) did that.

In my little village I still haven’t figured out who the two voters for Jill Stein were. Perhaps they are embarrassed to admit it.

My wife convinced a number of Republican voters instead to switch their votes to Johnson. (Being a former Libertarian Party member, she could make the pitch for the LP and why that would be better than Trump.)

Of course Trump still took the overwhelming majority of my town’s voters (Clinton got 8 votes, Johnson 3, and Stein 2.)
