I think it’s adorable that Julian seems to think there is actually such a thing as a “male secret” that women don’t know anything about.

As I noted at the end of the last thread:

No amount of money spent by a foreigner or foreign power on behalf of a campaign is legal. The campaign is supposed to immediately report that, and Facebook and Twitter should have immediately refused it.

Billionaire libertarians in charge of Facebook and Twitter are not going to be charged with anything however as justice goes to the highest bidder.

As for the hundredaire president, he’s safe for now. If the GOP’s chances in the next election sink, or Mueller closes in, he’s gone (think Nixon).

PEOPLE WITH HIV SHOULD BE QUARANTINED, SAYS GEORGIA LAWMAKER AND WIFE OF TOM PRICE

People with HIV should be quarantined, and the U.S. would be safer if they “died more readily,” according to Betty Price, a Republican state representative and wife of former Health Secretary Tom Price.

The Georgia-state lawmaker and former anesthesiologist, who now represents people who live in the northern Atlanta area, was asked in a hearing what the U.S. is “legally able to do” to limit the spread of HIV throughout the state.

“It’s almost frightening, the number of people who are living that are carriers with the potential to spread,” Price said during a Georgia House of Representatives committee meeting on access to health care in the state (around the one-hour mark of the video). “Whereas in the past, they died more readily, and at that point they’re not posing a risk. So we’ve got a huge population posing a risk if they’re not in treatment.”

Okay, I’ve seen enough. Republican sociopaths should be quarantined. We should set aside a reservation in some god forsaken part of the country, build a monstrous fence and minefield around it and relocate them there. They should pay for the fence obviously but they can bring their SUVs, guns, and vast supplies of freeze dried food and lawn and garden tools with them. They can set up any kind of government or non-government they like, teach their children any superstition they like, seek health care from any witch doctor, faith healer or pseudoscientist they like, and enjoy complete freedom from government giveaways and regulations, including police and fire service.

So, for a much-needed sanity break, here’s some photos of Azuki, a small Japanese hedgehog, on a camping trip.

I really wanna know where do they get all the miniature Coleman stuff?

On a side note, I saw a hedgehog on the way home from the shopping center this evening; I saw something moving, and at first glance, I thought it was a rat - then it walked over to me (quite fearlessly, I might add) and when it got closer, I realized it was a hedgehog. It looked up at me and tootled off into the bushes.

Scoop: Trump pledges to personally pay some legal bills of WH staff and associates
axios.com

Booman asks a very good question:
How is this not obstruction of justice?

President Trump has promised to spend at least $430,000 of his own money to defray legal costs incurred by campaign associates and White House staff due to the Russia investigations, a White House official tells Axios.

Probably promotional stuff Coleman had made up for some ad series or other, and which somebody thought would be the perfect size for Azuki. Or, perhaps they made it just for him: I’m sure he asked very nicely: he is Japanese, after all…

This is a great interview - Todd Rundgren talks about his part in ‘Bat Out Of Hell.’

Phil Rizzuto claimed that he never knew that his play-by-play part on “Paradise By the Dashboard Light” was about sex. You must’ve been there when he recorded his part — did he really not know?

Yeah, well he never listened to the song. He didn’t have any idea what the song was about at all, so not surprising that he wouldn’t have understood that he was actually narrating something besides a baseball game. [Laughs.] But that again was a perverse idea that Jim Steinman came up with, because I didn’t know enough about baseball to think of Phil Rizzuto. I remembered Phil Rizzuto as the spokesperson for The Money Store, and so I didn’t understand why Steinman was willing to spend $5000 to have this guy read this play-by-play. But ultimately it was the gag that put the whole thing over the top.

Video’s obviously been such an important part of your career, and video is sort of what pushed this record over the edge and got people excited about it. What do you think it is about those visuals that drew people to the material?

Well, the first video was “Paradise By the Dashboard Light.” And this was the second factor that went into making the record become such a success. The first factor was of course that Steve Popovich committed himself fully to the record, and since he didn’t have a lot of other artists to worry about, he could apply the full force of the label in one record. So he put out a single and nothing happened, then he put out and nothing happened, and it wasn’t until the third single that they started to get some radio airplay. So part of it was his persistence — he didn’t give up after the first two singles didn’t go anywhere.

The second factor was that MTV [debuted in 1981], and “Paradise By the Dashboard Light” was the longest video on the air. And it was still substantially live, so VJs were just like DJs. DJs would always want to put on like a whole side of Dark Side of the Moon so they could go up to the roof and get high. The VJs were kind of the same way. The longer the better so they could go goof off somewhere and do something for a while. So that “Paradise By the Dashboard Light” video got played endlessly on MTV in the very early days.

She mentions in her book one time that she actually was sexually harassed by a construction worker at a site she was visiting. The other construction workers pulled the guy aside to say “hey asshole, don’t you know whose daughter that is? You’re putting all our jobs in jeopardy.”

Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the hand on the harp-string, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?
They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow;
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow.
Who shall gather the smoke of the dead wood burning?
Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?

Is it me, or does the Slate article totally leave out one big aspect of the Benghazi freakout?

That would be the political theater aspect of the actions of the Republican Congress.

We have discussions of why Republicans win elections. One of them is because they use things like Benghazi to do their whole political dramatic story telling of how Benghazi is a complete reflection of the Democratic party and how evil people like Obama and Clinton are.

The Republicans put on all those investigation because it is part of their continuing run to keep control. It sells to their base. They are doing something about all those nasty Democrats.

A person on the left tosses out the idea Niger might be Trump’s Bengahzi and Slate says no don’t go there, and where does Maddow get off???

The Republicans know Benghazi was a big conspiracy theory, they just realized it sold. The press ran with it, their base took it to heart, why not run those investigations and trash Democrats (Republicans started running against Hillary right then)?

But no, Democrats can’t get a little mileage out of something like Niger because…well Slate…because why?

And this is another little part of why Democrats lose elections. We don’t need conspiracy theories and investigations, but damn well hard questions and a bit of a fit for a little political theater for the left is in order.

But be sure to run it by some of the new media first. They need to see if it passes their taste test.

U.S. Sends Hundreds Of Thousands Of Bombs To Guam As North Korea Threat Looms

Truth

This shipment will replace expired munitions and support an overall growth of more than 10% of total munitions on hand on Guam. The munitions will increase the overall availability of day-to-day training assets and War Reserve Material stocks to support warfighting capabilities.

“Munitions stocks expire or are expended during the year so we continually receive new assets to supplement the lost munitions,” said Maj. Erik Schmid, 36th Munitions Squadron commander. “The inbound munitions ensure required assets are available in theater to support national objectives.”

This is why I hate journalism via Twitter. Everyone these days is looking for a baiting headline. Pisses me right the fuck off. Just say it plainly, and if you can’t say it plainly in the headline, just say “It’s Fucking Complicated, RTFA” and be done with it.

Are those RepubliKKKlans dumb enough to do a “preventative strike” on North Korea?

Have they gamed the scenarios out if China intervenes on North Korea’s side?

I’ve seen scenarios where South Korea may have thousands of casualties in the first week.

How is Dolt 45 going to justify thousands of dead South Koreans?

Is he deluded enough to think that he can just brush them off the same way he has brushed off thousands in Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands?

Are the RepubliKKKlans in Congress going to give him a blank check?

What happens if US forces are completely overrun and South Korea falls?

Did they even think to game out the consequences?

Hell I live in Koreatown here in Los Angeles and if this goes sour a whole lot of people are going to be out in the street venting their anger!

What really, really, really, pisses me off about many on the right is that they’re so easily duped into believing BS. This ticks me off because I keep seeing them letting others do their thinking for them, and when they discover they’ve allowed others to make fools of them, they pretend that they never supported the things we know, and can prove, that they supported. ‘Sizzy_1022’, as my parents would have said, has “shown her natural *ss to the world.” Now that she’s discovered she was wrong about Mrs. Johnson, she’s now in the process of trying to make it all go away. She can delete those offensive tweets, but she can’t erase the fact that there are thousands of us who know, and will remember, what she did. At this point, I’d advise her to delete her Twitter account.

Odie Hugh Manatee  Oct 21, 2017 • 7:46:38pm

It’s a bit long but it was a huge pile of shit to think my way through. I’ve ‘digested’ what Kelly said in his presser and my conclusion is that it’s fucked up in just about every way I look at it.

Kelly mentions civilian leadership of the military then veers off into how those who have never been a part of the military will never understand their special bond and the way they view their role in our nation. His saying this sets up a divide between civilians and the military, one that should never exist (IMO). This tells me that he is a person who believes that civilians will never be on the same level as members of our military, nor will they ever understand what this means. Those of us who have not served understand that those who have served do have a special bond but to have a military leader (former or not) state that in the way he did, when he did, is just wrong.

Kelly talks about how the Tangerine NAZI Rape Clown did nothing wrong when he called the wife of Lt. Johnson and grunted out his ‘condolences’ and then goes on to basically describe how he pretty much instructed Fuckface Von Clownstick in what to say. This means that, once again, Combover Caligula blew it. Stating what he did confirmed to me, once again, that Putin’s Circus Peanut has the attention span of a gnat, the intellectual depth of a thimble and is as empathetic as a pile of bullshit.

Kelly states how he is aghast at the Congresswoman listening in on the horrible shit that Hair Furor said without knowing the totality of the circumstances that led to her being present in the car during that call. This tells me that when Commander Fucknoodle’s shit hits the fan, Kelly opens his mouth, swallows it and then barfs up whatever he views as necessary to cover Twitler’s ass.

Kelly reminisces about how at some point in his past women were once revered by men but to his deepest regrets that is no longer the case. What this tells me is that he never really respected women in the first place. It also tells me that he thinks it’s open season on any women that he or his party disapproves of.

Kelly talks of the honor and respect that those in the military deserve and then goes on to tell a bullshit made up story about Congresswoman Wilson that was specifically worded to make her look like an empty, grubby, opportunistic Democratic politician. IOW, a horrible woman, thus justifying his view that such women no longer deserve his respect. This shows me that he he has no problem tossing any honor and respect for others out the window and shitting all over them, in this case a woman who deserves kudos for her life’s accomplishments. His actions were to confirm the conservative caricatures of Democratic politicians as evil, empty soulless monsters.

By giving cover to the Jaundiced Jackass and his abuse of Gold Star parents and spouses, Kelly allowed Mango Mussolini to cover wipe his ass with the memory of his son. This shows me that when his son was KIA while serving in Iraq during the Obama administration and Kelly had said he didn’t want his son’s death to be politicized, what Kelly really meant was that it wasn’t the right time to do so. What he did was show me that his son’s memory means less to him than the cover it offers his boss, Comrade Chaos. Wow…

In the end, what I got from his presser was that he is a cold, calculating, misogynistic, opportunistic bald faced liar who has no use for facts and thinks that his military service puts him and those like him on a level above the civilians they serve. These are not traits anyone would want in a leader of our military, let alone the Chief of Staff in the Kim Jong Orange administration.

Did I miss anything? There was a lot there to process, that’s for sure. If this was food I would have the shits for a month, that’s how bad it was.

Two of my daughters and two of my sons-in law are veterans, and I don’t think Kelly has any respect for them or their service, because they would disagree with him politically, and he’s using their service and that of every other person in the military as a cheap bit of rhetoric to support his authoritarian tendencies.

One thing was made very clear today: None of the five previous presidents want anything to do with his *ss. I saw Greg Abbott with them in a pic, sitting up there grinning. After the horrible things he said and did to Pres. Obama for sh*ts and giggles, he should have been too ashamed to appear anywhere near him, yet, there he was, trying to take credit for a benefit concert he had nothing to do with.
