LYRICS:
I am the galaxy
I feed the universe
Within all the atoms.
I am Regina
I move the waters
Of infinity.

I deal in stardust (We love it! We love!)
I dance with time
I feel the movement
Of everything divine. (We love it!)

Shout if you feel me
You’ve been living your whole life knowing nothin’ ‘bout me.
Now that you know that
I’ve been giving you all the love that you want from me
Rise up the mountains
Cause you know that there’s nothin’ ‘bout you makes you different from me
And as you reach outside yourself you will find me.

You light the sun above
You turn the moon around
Designing all the seasons.
And when the stars of love
Are what I’m thinking of
I’ll see you there.

I deal in music
I dance with rhyme
I feel the movement
And everything is mine.

CHORUS

I am Regina
I move the waters
Within all the atoms
And the eaves.

CL’d. Maddow speculates that one reason for the resignation of Boente might be that he was a witness to Trump trying to influence Comey.

CL’d. Maddow speculates that one reason for the resignation of Boente might be that he was a witness to Trump trying to influence Comey.

Given the freak out over Hillary and Russia beginning around late Tuesday/Wednesday, someone told the Drumpf cabal that indictments were coming down, which had to be a mole in the courts, or a source directly connected to them.

I don’t think it is as arcane as Rachel posits. It’s just the recent leak that we can see right before us that has sparked the WH/Faux attack this week.

The easy answer is often the correct answer.

The local RWNJ radio personality was saying how Mueller had no choice but to recuse himself days ago. Something something uranium one, something something bribery, kickbacks, something Clinton Foundation.

32
austin_blue  Oct 27, 2017 • 9:45:15pm

Everyone said that this was a “quiet” week for Trump, that it wouldn’t be a continuation of the “worst week ever”.

Welp, that just went up in a very loud explosion from Mueller didn’t it it?

So much for that meme.

So the West Wing will be a kicked over like red ant pile this weekend before the indictments are handed down.

But Mueller is a wise string-puller. He will carefully watch which pigs squeals the loudest, and which don’t. Faux News will be shitting themselves trying to pull together a narrative that makes even an iota of sense, even if they don’t have a single fact.

Expect a large dose of Hillary/Uranium/ Soros/Russia this weekend. They are about to get kicked in the balls, and they cannot have a decent response, because it would involve, even at the smallest level, the truth.

This is gonna be FUN!

Hey teleskiguy (and others), don’t you think there are more important things to worry about than going after some twitter asshole who made a stupid joke about JFK? Maybe spend your energy (and everybody else here) in getting real people to vote. If real people dont vote against the trump agenda, then we deserve what we get. That is the real issue. Trump and his people are doing a great job in distracting everybody, and lots of people are falling for it.

So I wake up this morning here in Europe and see that indictments have been handed down. Glorious.

And as a good many others have already pointed out, it certainly explains the Hillary bullshit the RW’ers have been spewing all this week - they got a tipoff that something big was coming down.

So I guess now we see…..who’s it gonna be? I’d think that Manafort and/or Carter Page are the most likely candidates for a Grand Jury indictment. I have to chuckle at the thought of those two being frogmarched in front of the cameras.

But there’s also the possibility of another Saturday Night Massacre - Trump could very well go full Nixon in his desperation. That would be distinctly unwise, for as we all know, you never go full Nixon.

Indeed it is. Provided that Trump doesn’t go full Nixon, this could very well be the beginning of the end of the Trump administration.

Holy crap, I spend the day at the VA hospital and the whole Internet has blown up.

I really hope that this thing floating around about Robert Mueller getting ready to hand over indictments (on anybody in this mess) isn’t a freakin’ hoax.

I gotta quit going to the VA hospital. Every time I do, they find something wrong, and I miss the good stuff as it breaks here. (Today the diagnosis is creeping cataracts. It would seem since every time I go to the hospital they find something or something happens to me, I would be better off not going to the hospital.)

I don’t think this is a hoax; this very much seems to be the real deal.

If Trump doesn’t fire Mueller first, we’ll very likely see some indictments unsealed on Monday. It’s being reported by CNN, Reuters, the Wall Street Journal, etc. You’re right that it’s true that in the mad rush to get the scoop, journalists sometimes fall for shenanigans.

But given what we’ve seen all this week with the “OMG HILLARY!!” bullshit, I suspect that the Trump administration and the GOP knew something big was about to come down and was frantically trying to distract.

lawhawk  Oct 28, 2017 • 5:51:18am

Greets and saluts from the Resistance in the NYC metro area.

A recap of this week:

Fox, Hannity and the rest of the right wing howler monkeys have been railing against Clinton, Soros, and claiming that the indictments are heading towards Clinton for a long debunked uranium deal that Clinton played no role in.

Indictments did break against people within Trump’s cabal of cronies in the Friday Night News Dump last night and will be unsealed Monday as someone or some group gets perp walked into custody.

Fox, Hannity and the rest of the right wing howler monkeys spent last night ignoring the indictments against Trump’s people, and instead doubled down on the derp and misinformation of their shrinking viewership.

This morning, Trump’s managed to pry his phone from the adult day care staff and is now tweeting about fake news (trying to quote President Carter’s recent comments, but ignoring the very real news that dropped).

You can bet his staff is desperately trying to get Trump out to play golf, where he wont incriminate himself any further or say/do something that might put him in legal jeopardy.

And you have to know that Mueller knows exactly what buttons to press with Trump because he’s that easy to read and manipulate into making mistakes. Mueller knows Trump is reactionary and is likely to say something that can and will be used against him and his cronies in a court of law (or impeachment, which is a different legal standard altogether - impeachment being a political process, not a strictly judicial one).

Roger Stone, who is a friend to Paul Manafort and a longtime acquaintance to Trump, got into the sauce last night because he knows everyone around him is in serious legal jeopardy (and why so many of them have lawyered up).

This is so serious that even the lawyers have themselves lawyered up in some cases.

Who is getting indicted and perp walked Monday?

If it’s Manafort, you can bet the squirming all across Trump’s circle will be loud - because Manafort is directly tied to every aspect of Trump’s campaign, including Trump spawn.

Money laundering and fraud are likely to be involved with Manafort’s indictments, but even that’s small potatoes compared to what comes next.

The whole point of this indictment(s) is to get people flipped and turning on those up the food chain. This isn’t the end-all, and the investigations are continuing. Financial crimes take time to develop, and there are other low-hanging fruit to gather (like Kushner’s SF-86 fiasco or even Sessions’ perjury).

As soon as we finished jamming, I flipped on the TV and went to MSNBC and saw the chyron on the screen (sound was down) said Mueller Returns First Indictments and a spontaneous party broke out. I was up until 2 AM just soaking it in.

I like the fact it was leaked and no one knows who it is until Monday.

re: #221 Dr Lizardo

Hunan is considered to be in the southern part of China, and Henan in the northern part. Decades ago, the Party decided that people in the north would benefit from central heating during the winter months, while people in the south — it being supposedly warmer — could do without. Homes and classrooms in the south do not have central heating, but they might have aircon units in one room. Insulation is unheard of. So, my old apartment was downright chilly in the winter, even with the aircon/heat pump going. Now I have radiant heating under the flooring and a radiator and aircon besides, so I should be toasty warm.

One of the many things that baffles me about China is the unwillingness to adapt to new conditions. The arbitrary decision to heat one half the nation in the winter made a lot of sense when the nation was poor and had limited supplies of coal and electricity. Now China is flush with money, and has surplus electrical power, so it could easily manage to heat the entire country in the wintertime. But the Party (probably Mao) made that decision 60 years ago, and it’s still official policy.

China is run by old male farts - the youngest member of the Politburo is 60 — and the national congress leans heavily toward middle-aged men. Women (also middle-aged) have few leadership positions, and people under the age of 40 are few and far between.

Change is going to take a long time to happen in China. Social mores are about the same here as they were in the USA during the 1950s.

As far as ice fishing, for most people around here it’s more like ice drinking; they mostly sit in their heated ice houses and shoot the breeze, rather than actually fishing.

I know I couldn’t put up with the heat. I much prefer the cold. I could never live somewhere where there aren’t any seasons. Lack of variety would kill me.

I’ve seen college kids roaming the streets of downtown St. Paul in temperatures at or below -20 C wearing shorts and a T-shirt. Presumably they’re connecting from one skyway to another, but still.

That happens more frequently in the spring than in the fall here.

Yeah…..that could well explain Stone’s meltdown. He’s likely up to his neck in shit, and he’s afraid that if it’s Manafort who’s been indicted, Manafort may very well flip.

Here’s a recurring thought I’ve had for a few days…

Given that members of Trump’s campaign staff have (seemingly) been under investigation since before the presidential campaign and Trump’s footsie-playing with the Russian Mob has (seemingly) been known for a while…

what are the odds that the intelligence community has had a mole inside the Trump cult from the very beginning of this?

That would be better than winning the damn lottery.

If I even think too hard I sweat like a pig. I like heat only if I’m lying out by some pool or beach. I prefer mid 60s for all other activities. It sucks because I have to work outside in the winter so I have to constantly do layers or else I sweat and then get wet and freeze. I’ve been known to be out in the extreme cold with only a hoodie, hat and gloves for hours. Boots are steel toe so feet are already cold.

Stingl: Winter warriors keep their furnaces turned off as long as they can stand it

A game of chicken plays out in Wisconsin this time of year. How long can you last before firing up the furnace at home?

Most normal people don’t care to compete. One chilly day in September and they’re juicing the thermostat.

Officially, the heating season around here begins Oct. 1, according to the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program. So the challenge is to shiver at least a month longer than that before finally heating the house. Nov. 1 is a target date you often hear among the hardy and the winter deniers.

I keep ours at 68. After my year of trying to put together a company in the enormous garage of my increasingly crazy ex-boss, I spent a couple months (November and December) working in my (finished, but not heated) garage, working on my CV, reaching out to old coworkers, worrying about ever getting a job*.

To this day, I associate being cold in the house with that time. It makes me feel poor and anxious all over again.

*Two days after sending out my CV to a number of companies, I got a call to come in the next day for an interview with a vaccine company. The VP of R&D knew my work from before, and the interview was largely “When can you start?” When I got the offer letter, Mrs. FBW said, “Tell ‘em you can start a week later, because WE’RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!!”

That blanket story reminds me of this perennial YouTube favorite about a struggling guy who discovered that he owned a valuable Navajo blanket. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a pretty cool story.

Isn’t Grandpa Simpson from Shelbyville?

We can’t bust heads like we used to. But we have our ways. One trick is to tell stories that don’t go anywhere. Like the time I caught the ferry to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for m’shoe. So I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on ‘em. “Gimme five bees for a quarter,” you’d say. Now where were we… oh yeah. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. I didn’t have any white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones…

It was based on a real incident in Indiana that happened a year or so earlier.

Yeah. It was dropping big wet snowflakes this morning when I went out and did some shopping.

I still have some work outside to wrap up. I need me some 50+ degree days and less than freezing nights to get some paint and caulking done.

Then I also need to consider changing to my winter tires on my car. Was hoping to get to Thanksgiving weekend, but may have to do that sooner than expected.

Conceivably, he is.

Political enemies of Russian dictators and their puppet regimes often end up with bad cases of ricin poisoning. And given how the hopes of the free world are seemingly hung on one man, who could be fired, discredited, or worse by the very people he is investigating, there are lots of easy outs here for the ruling regime.

The interesting thing in that story is that Manafort and Flynn’s attorneys don’t think either of their clients are the subject of the indictment.

Whistling past the graveyard? Wishful thinking? Or is there a dark horse out there who gets to go first?

It would not surprise me if it was some relatively unknown lower-level red-shirt scapegoat(s).

Just for starters, though…
