The big takeaway from last night (for me) is that all the months of talk from the far-left and the far-right that the GOP can’t be defeated at the polls by cuffing them to Trump were so much hot air. That the talk that Russia “doesn’t matter” to voters was more about people pursuing their own agendas than an actual gauge of the public’s interest. And that anybody who tells you that the DNC can’t win against Trump without appealing to white voters is talking out of his ass.

I wonder what the beef is about. Harris strikes me as Islamophobic and after he interviewed Charles Murray, it was a wrap for me. I’d think he and Mike would have quite a lot in common.

Well, to disagree on one point, the DNC can’t win against Trump without appealing to white voters. Fortunately, though, it only needs to appeal to sane white voters to win.

re: #221 whitebeach

Money changers were engaged in a service business and were (and still are today) entitled to a return on their services. They competed with others in their business both on the temple steps and in the streets nearby, so “no other option” seems like a stretch. Given these facts, “stealing” also seem like a stretch. As for conducting monetary transactions in the Lord’s house, I doubt that it was much different then from what it is now, and if you’re concerned about this, whatever you do, don’t set foot inside St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

Incorrect assumptions there. These were not general exchange bankers trading foreign, ie non-Roman, money for locally negotiable money. For one thing there was very little non-Roman money in that part of the world, since it was deep in the Empire in those days, and very damn few non-Roman travelers, all of whom would long since have changed their money long before they reached Jerusalem. There were many local variations in Roman coinage from the different provinces, but it was all legal tender anywhere in the Empire.
It is well attested from non-Christian sources like Josephus that the “money changers” at the Temple were engaged in a specialized type of exchange, trading general Roman currency for the two types of coinage, Jewish and Tyrean, that were the only acceptable payment for sacrificial animals at the Temple. This was because the general Roman coinage contained graven images. The priests of the Temple controlled both the special coinage and the supply of sacrificial animals. The latter were sold only at the Temple. The priests had a monopoly on the sacrifice business, they farmed it out to various stall holders, and they were using it to fleece the worshipers with exorbitant exchange rates and prices.

re: #233 HappyWarrior

I didn’t wear my Agnosticism on my sleeve when my niece got baptized. It was something my brother wanted to do mostly to make my grandmother and his wife’s family happy. I don’t mind religion if it’s a tool to help people. It’s not for me but I’m not going to tell someone that it has no use at all.

Agnosticism, or in my case, Deism, means never having to say you are sorry. I don’t personally believe in a Theist God, who answers every prayer and takes an active role in the affairs of humans. I entertain the thought that there may be a God, however, who created the Universe and does not care about Its creation after the fact. A Prime Mover without a need to fuck with things once it was done, in other words. I also believe it’s possible that there is no God and that the Universe is entirely random, a construct entirely created by an as yet unknown unified field theory and a Big Bang that resulted in us just popping out of nowhere.

I was raised Catholic, and I don’t begrudge anyone their faith, whatever it is, so long as they don’t use it to subjugate, damage, or suppress people who don’t agree with them. I have deep respect for people of faith. It really makes it much easier to deal with the reality of this existence we all share.

Atheism takes a lot of faith and not all of it good. It has hard edges. It’s a yes/no dogma, right or wrong. So is hardcore right wing (any other religion you want to fill in here). None of them are helpful to the common good of a healthy, multi-cultural world.

Night all! Out to Alpine tomorrow for a couple gigs with one of She Who Must Be Obeyed’s bands. Doing the tour of the McDonald Observatory complex on either Sunday or Monday. Good times.

I entertain the thought that there may be a God, however, who created the Universe and does not care about Its creation after the fact. I also believe it’s possible that there is no God and that the Universe is entirely random, a construct entirely created by an as yet unknown unified field theory and a Big Bang that resulted in us just popping out of nowhere.

What is a “theist god?” Theism is a statement about a person’s belief, not a god’s. I’m sorry to point out that this is a muddled mess.

By the way, a deist is a theist. A deist believes a god exists. The universe is not random, it is governed by physical laws.

That is the standard creationist argument about the Big Bang Theory: That the Universe popped up out of nowhere (define nowhere, do you have a nowhere to compare one to?) The Big Bang theory does not say that. However, the Bible does. As for a god who creates a universe then ignores it, what use is that god?

I’m an atheist, and I entertain the idea of a god. Atheism is only a position on one question: Do I believe in a god? Nope, there is no evidence for Kali-ma. (Is that the god you meant? There are so many mutually-exclusive gods to choose from.)

I was raised Catholic, and I don’t begrudge anyone their faith,

Joel Olsteen and Franklin Graham thank you for your support. People use reason for everyday decisions: On the most important questions (where did the Universe come from and how did we get here), suddenly reason goes out the window and faith (belief without proof) becomes the answer. Faith has never answered a single question in the history of humankind, but it has been frequently used as a weapon against others.

whatever it is, so long as they don’t use it to subjugate, damage, or suppress people who don’t agree with them.

When religions are small (like the Baptists were at the founding of the Republic), they cry out for protection from other religions by the State. When they become large, they want to become the state. Without exception, throughout history.

As for not agreeing with them, I’ve had the pleasure of attending a few Wiccan retreats (a religion which claims it is all about inclusivity and coexistence). You’d be amazed at how bigoted Wiccans get when there are no others around to hear.

I have deep respect for people of faith. It really makes it much easier to deal with the reality of this existence we all share.

I have respect for people unless they show themselves unworthy, I have no respect for ideas unless they are true. No religion has ever shown itself true, and I have no respect for belief without evidence. Such things give you a Trump for President. As for easier to deal with the reality of existence, I would rather have the truth than a comfortable lie or assertion without evidence.

Atheism takes a lot of faith and not all of it good.

BUZZ!!! Pick up your consolation prize, thanks for playing.

Pascal, pick up your wager at window #2.

Atheism takes a lot of faith if you define faith as “no faith.” Tell me what I believe without evidence, and you know what I’ll do? Stop believing it. Atheism is a position on exactly one question: Do you believe in a god? Atheists only believe in one less god of tens of thousands than every religious believer on the planet. Do Christians need a lot of faith not to believe in Allah or Kali-ma?

It has hard edges. It’s a yes/no dogma, right or wrong. So is hardcore right wing (any other religion you want to fill in here). None of them are helpful to the common good of a healthy, multi-cultural world.

There is no “hard edge.” It is not a dogma. It is not a “right or wrong” position, it’s a “you haven’t provided evidence for your assertion of Amateratsu (is that the goddess you meant?) yet. I am agnostic on the position of Amateratsu (I don’t know she exists or not). That doesn’t make my position a “right or wrong” position. (sets strawman on fire)

Show evidence of a god, and I’ll believe that god exists (worshipping that god is another question). You’re right though: No religion has ever been helpful to the common good of a multi-cultural world.

Would a series of ads attacking Moore for his refusal to debate be effective? Something that lays out a position that Jones supports and points out that Moore refuses to discuss this because he doesn’t understand the issue or doesn’t want the public to know where he really stands.

It’s almost as if Trump appoints people only with regard to their loyalty to The Donald, and not to their actual expertise. Even previous Republican administrations at least tried to find people who were somewhat versed in their intended positions’ responsibilities.
I suspect all the suitably qualified people, when asked if they would serve under Trump, said, “Hell no!” and so Trump has to scrape the bottom of the barrel.

Trump is an authoritarian who craves the kind of control that Chinese, Saudi Arabia, and Putin all enjoy. They all limit free speech and control media coverage to the point of killing journalists who are doing their job in exposing wrongdoing by the respective regimes.

Russia one step closer to owning Venezuela’s oil reserves.

While the country’s isolation means the risk of contagion to international financial markets is limited, a default could trigger a global rush to seize assets owned by the Venezuelan government and its state oil company PDVSA, and plunge the struggling nation into a full-blown humanitarian emergency.

The only bright spot for Venezuela was Russia saying Caracas had agreed to its terms for restructuring the part of the debt it holds, with an accord to be signed within a week.

“Venezuela has confirmed the conditions that were agreed and so the process will move to a final phase,” minister Anton Siluanov told the Interfax news agency.

Venezuela’s official debt to Moscow stood at $2.8 billion as of 2016, with another $6 billion owed to oil giant Rosneft, which is closely allied with the Kremlin.

I assume Russia is betting on default because of this:

For a country with the world’s largest proven oil reserves — nearly 300 billion barrels, worth more than $15 trillion — such debt normally should be bearable.

Quartz sent me this latest Quartz Obsession about cider. Contained within was this YouTube video by the Tempura Kidz. And now I shall share with you all, because it’s goofy — like a lot of Japanese music videos.

「CIDER CIDER」TEMPURA KIDZ

A commenter provided this English translation of the timeless Japanese lyrics:

Fizzy fizzy cider
A shower in my mouth
I’ll pop open a cider
I’ll open one with you
Fizz fizz fizz fizz POP!
Clear x Pink x Blue
Pure white, black, there’s all sorts of flavors
There are so many
That I can’t choose between them
Don’t shake it too much
Open it like you would a treasure box
‘Cause all the precious bubbles will escape
Gently, gently, nice and easy
Fizzy fizzy cider
A shower in my mouth
I’ll pop open a cider
I’ll open one with you
Fizz fizz fizz fizz POP!
I ate my dinner
And I’ve even finished my homework
And Daddy’s just now
Opening up a beer
Don’t be too hasty
Enjoy it little by little
When you’re ready we’ll open them on the count of three
Gently, gently, nice and easy
Fizzy fizzy cider
A shower in my mouth
I’ll pop open a cider
I wanna open one with you
Fizz fizz fizz fizz POP!
Fizzy fizzy cider
The tiny bomb
Has burst and disappeared
I’ll open one with you
Fizz fizz fizz fizz POP!

You’re welcome.

Then there is Saudi Arabia, which hemorrhages money worse than Mariah Carey on a bender.

In a memorable 2001 interview with PBS’ “Frontline,” Prince Bandar bin Sultan, who served for years as the Saudi envoy to Washington, said three decades of development had involved an expenditure of about $400 billion, perhaps an eighth of which had found its way into illicit channels.

“If you tell me … that we misused, or got corrupted, with $50 billion, I’ll tell you ‘yes,’” he said. “But I’ll take that anytime. There are so many countries in the Third World that have oil that are still 30 years behind.”

“We did not invent corruption,” the veteran ambassador added. “This has happened since Adam and Eve…. This is human nature.”

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman may just be consolidating power because he needs the money.

Never would have guessed that but perhaps the geography of Kazakhstan was very different. Central Asia is a region that I really don’t know too much about. Rumor had it when I was an undergrad, that the Central Asian history course offered was the most difficult course in the program. I never did take it. I used a couple of my history electives on Chinese history because I really wanted to understand China better and while I would say I’m far from an expert on China, I do think I came away better with a much better than the average American in understanding China. Then I had a co-worker from Taiwan who also was a history buff who taught me a little more about Taiwan during our lunch breaks.

It was a surprise to me, too. I associate the country with oil and minerals, not apples. But what do I know. All of Central Asia is a mystery to me. I met a Couchsurfing couple who backpacked/hitchhiked from their home in Ukraine through a few of the “stans”, entered China in Xinjiang, took the train (wisely) to Sichuan, then resumed hitching across China. They had some wild stories about Kazakhstani hosts and impromptu tour guides.

Why Trump Will Never Lose His Supporters (goes to politico via electoral-vote.com

i’m quoting the entire electoral-vote exerpt and bolding some stuff. Clearly these people are lost. they are not rational. they are not redeemable nor politically turnable. and they are a small enough number to probably not matter if we stay mobilized.

still, holy moly:

Politico Magazine has a long piece on why Donald Trump will never lose his core supporters. Its reporter spent time in places like Johnstown, PA, a depressed coal mining town that went solidly for Trump because he promised to bring back coal and steel jobs. Now 10 months into his presidency, the people there see that he is never going to bring back those jobs, but they don’t blame him for it. When the reporter asked people how they would feel if after 4 years if nothing changed, they said they would still love him. When pressed about what his has done for them, the answer was that he hates and battles people they hate, including Democrats, establishment Republicans, the media, Black Lives protesters, and most of all, kneeling NFL millionaires, who they see as ungrateful and disrespectful. In other words, it is all about the culture wars, not economics or even policy. It’s all about hate and he hates the people they hate. You can’t eat hate, but it is a good second choice after food.

Many of the respondents don’t have a clue what they are talking about. One of them said: “Everybpdy I talk to realizes it’s not Trump who is dragging his feet. Trump’s probably the most diligent, hardest-working president we’ve ever had in our lifetimes. It’s not like he sleeps in till noon and goes golfing every weekend, like the last president did.” When the reporter told him that Trump golfs a lot more than Barack Obama, he was surprised. He added that 99% of his TV time is on Fox News. He thinks CNN is definitely fake news. Interviews with many more people gave the same impression, with others saying that his declarations of success are what matter, not actual success. For people who don’t understand why his supporters aren’t shaken by anything Trump says or does, this article is valuable reading material.

re: #233 HappyWarrior

Good times.

Deism is quite interesting. It’s a philosophy that as you know a lot of the Founders subscribed to. We have the same thought. I have no problem with religious faith if the person isn’t going to use it the persecute other people. It’s not for me but I don’t feel it’s my place to knock someone’s religion especially if they’re using as inspiration to help people. It’s one thing if you’re doing what you saw E.W. Jackson do yesterday and that’s attack every self proclaimed Christian who voted for the Democratic ticket here in Virginia but it’s another if you’re say like my Dad’s uncle and uses your faith in a poor Louisiana parish or later comforting wounded in action men during the Battle of the Bulge. I personally could never subscribe to outright Atheism because personally I can’t answer that question- Is there God. My answer I don’t think is too complex: “I don’t know if there’s a God but I also only know the one life I’ve got ahead of me. I want to make the most of that and use it to help people. If there’s a world beyond this, okay. If not, that’s that. The one thing I must say I really like about the current Pope is there’s a place in his world not just for other religions but for non-believers. Francis realizes we’re all on this planet together. That our theological choices are but another puzzle in our personal building block. Sounds like you’ve got a busy day and weekend coming up. Have fun.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Jeez, what a bunch of pedants around here. //

I once read the “fruit” was more likely a pomegranate than an apple, or you can take the more allegorical approach and assume the fruit was a begrudging gift from a passive-aggressive God who wanted to give Adam and Eve the knowledge of good and evil, but drew the line at immortality.

The dam is bursting on the Hollywood casting couch system and the systematic harassment/abuse of people who are incapable of defending themselves against such actions because they’re fearful their careers will be destroyed because of the power of those carrying out the abuse.

And this extends beyond Hollywood to all aspects of society, the workplace, or even political sphere.

Trump was the most prominent manifestation of this, but he wasn’t alone.

How do we know the problem will continue long into the future? Because the GOP still elected him president knowing Trump admitted to being a sex predator in the same vein as Weinstein, Spacey, and all the rest.

There’s a segment of the population who thinks this kind of abuse and harassment is acceptable.

Meanwhile, the NYPD and prosecutors are readying rape charges against Weinstein - Paz de la Huerta has come forward claiming Weinstein raped her. She’s not alone. It shouldn’t have taken dozens of women to get to the point where Weinstein faces justice (the Manhattan prosecutors declined to pursue charges in the past). People in power have ways to protect themselves - the system isn’t rigged; it’s fixed in these people’s favor). That too has to change, and it can’t come fast enough.

New York Magazine (itals original, my bold)

The Republican Party’s “middle class tax cut” plan has a minor problem: It actually raises taxes on much of the middle class. Tax experts and progressive think tanks have been trumpeting this inconvenient truth for weeks. But now, Congress’s own Joint Committee on Taxation has confirmed this finding, making it far more difficult for Republicans to ignore.

According to the JCT, if the Republican plan passses, one-fifth of American households will pay higher taxes in 2027. While more middle-class families would be helped than hurt by the GOP plan, the fact that any will wind up forking over more money to Uncle Sam — while the super rich and corporate America collect trillions in benefits — is a political migraine for Trump & Co.

I”m from Western PA. I saw the hate rise when George Wallace started his 1964 campaign against Johnson. Once Wallace let it out of the bottle it ran wild in Pennsylvania. There are several blue havens in the four corners of the state but once you leave those blue corners the rest of the state is redder than Mississippi!

I know how the folks in Johnstown think because I’ve seen what right wing preachers, hate radio jocks like Jim Quinn and Fox News did to my family. All of them hated the N-Word President. They fell for the birther bullshit. And, sadly the reason they love Trump is because Trump kicks colored people, gays, lesbians, Muslims and liberals down.

I have nephews and nieces with disabled kids who refuse to sign up for Medicaid or buy health insurance because the “N-Word” president signed the law. And they sound just like the brainwashed guy in Johnstown who thought Obama was a lazy Oh, you know what N word that idiot wanted to say.

Apple wanted to build a call center in my home town. What did the residents do? They rose up against it. Why? Well, the preachers said they didn’t want a company that “promoted gays and lesbians” spreading their filth in the town. So the council rejected it. The preachers and the marks all rejoiced because they “would rather have Jesus than Satanic employers”.

My home town is economically dead. But they got Jesus and their guns…

There are long-standing rumors that back when Arnold Schwarzenegger was first trying to make the move from bodybuilding (and that documentary) into actual movies he was “willing” to bend over the couch for any director, assistant director, casting director, publicist, agent, agent’s assistant, etc etc etc until he got enough famous enough not to have to do it anymore.

He’s never said anything about it… but if true, it would certainly explain why he didn’t think there was anything wrong with the way he abused multiple crew, extras, supporting cast’s wives and so on once he himself was in a position to fire anybody who’d dare complain.

In the minutes since that last post, a fellow-traveller has dropped by, says she has seen a couple Jones ads on local broadcast TV. Emails from another, who is trying to plug our experienced activist cell into the Jones campaign, have turned plaintive. We have one month to start showing a pulse.

No, the reaction to diversity is inversely proportional to the actual population diversity. But those places that are nearly all white still get to vote, and have an outsized influence due to gerrymandering and the EC.

If we were to hold the election today, I am certain that that figure would be considerably lower: a lot of them were just people who hated Hillary so much they were willing to hand the country over to anyone with GOP in front of their name, and a lot of people simply hated Washington and politicians in general enough to hand things over to an outsider with no background of public service.

Trump effectively motivated his base, while the perceived infighting and ratfucking that accompanied the Democratic primaries made a lot of people indifferent.

he is a great writer, I really like what he wrote on how humans cannot physically eat much more than around a ton of food per year…and the lowest possible profit margin for the food industry is to sell us wholesome products that we prepare ourselves…

the highest profits to be made are from taking cheap, mass-produced agricultural products like wheat, corn and sugar, and combining them with some cheap chemical ingredients into processed food that is ready to eat or just has to be mixed together and/or warmed up…

So what does “key player on immigration policy” mean here? ISTM most Republican immigration policy amounts to “shut the door and lock it”, and kick out as many as possible (preferably with brutal enforcement) - while simultaneously ignoring whatever labor-exploitation is beneficial to their donor base. Or is (was?) Goodlatte one of the sane ones?

Per his wiki:

As House Judiciary Chairman for the 113th congress, Goodlatte has contrasted the House approach to immigration reform from the Senate by requiring that the various issues be taken on a piece-by-piece basis with an emphasis on both border and interior enforcement measures. So far the House Judiciary Committee has passed four immigration related bills:[16]

H.R. 2278, the “Strengthen and Fortify Enforcement Act” (The SAFE Act)[17]
H.R. 1773, the “Agricultural Guestworker Act”[18]
H.R. 1772, the “Legal Workforce Act”[19]

There’s a lot of self-delusion that goes in to these people too. They see themselves as productive members of society but they see racial minorities as just mooching off the system. My Dad has this sorta friend. And he tells us that the guy thinks minorities do nothing but get welfare money and have multiple children by multiple men. The guy also is a raging sexist too. And they’re opening up the door not to moderation, but to the loons to replace them. Loons who think that Trumpism is not only a good thing to emulate, but that Trump doesn’t go far enough.

The extremists took over the GOP, and they’re continuing to move the GOP further to the right.

That too is a function of the gerrymandering of districts which means GOP (or Dem) controlled districts are likely to become more extreme in their views, rather than move towards the center in hopes of winning centrist/independent voters.

We’ll win some of these seats but we won’t win all of them- not being cynical here, just pointing out basic math, so you have fairly sane GOPers leave, you get them replaced by people who are worse. And then you have committee chairs who will be replaced by someone with less seniority and who are more likely to be products of the GOP Wave of 2010.

Nice thought: but the main problem with that approach on a national-political level in this country is that “policies” are virtually an irrelevance to the hardest of hardcore “conservatives”* - partisan and ideological identifications seem to be far more of a cultural/tribal thing than a political analysis: and said tribe has been -for decades - marinating itself in a self-selecting media brine of hate and resentment: directed in no small part towards liberals (actually strawman caricature “libruls”, but the effect is the same) who that media have relentlessly painted as embodying everything that is Bad Wrong And Evil about America. And unfortunately, that hard core of righties is about 30% of the electorate. Which, given that the other 70% of voters are mainly apathetic or (usually) unmotivated, gives the Hate Tribe a significant political advantage.

And here’s the story

Leigh Corfman says she was 14 years old when an older man approached her outside a courtroom in Etowah County, Ala. She was sitting on a wooden bench with her mother, they both recall, when the man introduced himself as Roy Moore.

It was early 1979 and Moore — now the Republican nominee in Alabama for a U.S. Senate seat — was a 32-year-old assistant district attorney. He struck up a conversation, Corfman and her mother say, and offered to watch the girl while her mother went inside for a child custody hearing.

And then it gets into the creepy part.

Aside from Corfman, three other women interviewed by The Washington Post in recent weeks say Moore pursued them when they were between the ages of 16 and 18 and he was in his early 30s, episodes they say they found flattering at the time, but troubling as they got older. None of the women say that Moore forced them into any sort of relationship or sexual contact.

re: #272 KGxvi

And here’s the story

And then it gets into the creepy part.

According to colleagues and others who knew him at the time, Moore was rarely seen socializing outside work. He spent one season coaching the Gallant Girls, a softball team that his teenaged sister had joined, said several women who played on the team. He spent time working out at the Gadsden YMCA, according to people who encountered him there. And he often walked, usually alone, around the newly opened Gadsden Mall — 6 feet tall and well-dressed in slacks and a button-down shirt, say several women who worked there at the time.

RED FLAG.

Thanks. I’ve always wanted to see one. All my immediate family were citizens by birth and my mom’s grandparents got naturalized long before her parents were born and the same thing with my Dad’s grandfather. It’s pretty neat to think. My niece is the first American born person on her mom’s side but on her dad’s, my brother’s side, the first person we have naturalized was in 1803.

New film premiere canned on word of a soon to drop NYT story.

The Orchard has canceled Thursday’s New York premiere of Louis C.K.’s controversial new film “I Love You, Daddy.”

“Due to unexpected circumstances, tonight’s event for ‘I Love You, Daddy’ has been cancelled,” the distribution company said in an email. “On behalf of The Orchard, please accept our apologies. We’re incredibly sorry for any inconvenience.”

The event was to be held at the Paris Theatre.

The New York Times is understood to be working on a story about C.K. and allegations of sexual harassment, so the cancellation could be a precautionary measure.

re: #157 Wendell Zurkowitz ((slave to the waffle light))

TrumpFOX effectively motivated his base, while the perceived infighting and ratfucking that accompanied the Democratic primaries made a lot of people indifferent.

and apathy is the most effective form of voter suppression.

I think that the VA election also shows that DT is capable of motivating people on the other side of the fence now.

I understand the schadenfreude when seeing Trump voters suffer for their choice. I also understand the desire to redeem the ones who might realise their mistake.

Neither of these is relevant, though. What is relevant is how much cult media they consume. They may be furious at everything Trump does, but if they consume cult media in the months and weeks leading up to any election, they will turn out and vote as they are told. They might tell you to your face every day that they’ve learned, that they realise how awful Trump is now, but if they continue to consume, they will do exactly what they are told to do. To change their vote, they must be deprogrammed. Nothing else will work.

The effect of mainstream media voter suppression through apathy and constant negative messaging about Democrats is also powerful. That, however, might be able to be changed, because mainstream media does not have the same tight message discipline as cult media does. Diminishing that effect and turning out the majority that consume mainstream media is the key to winning these elections. But doing so will involve overcoming or undermining the automatic response of mainstream media to report on whatever cult media tells it to. That’s the difficult part.

Oh I know. I’m not a parent but I don’t think any of the parents here would want their senior in high school children dating someone in their 30’s. It’s perhaps one thing if a high school senior is dating a college freshman or even sophomore. Plus, it’s the hypocrisy. Do we really think Moore, holy thou that he is would be quiet if this had come out about a prominent Democrat or forbid if the two parties were of the same gender.

Oh my goodness, according to Sky News over here in the UK (Note: Murdoch owned TV channel), the allegations name Charlie Sheen as the assailant against Cory Hain.

Sorry, but I think Clinton being connected to an international child sex ring, run out of the basement of a pizzeria, with connected tunnels running throughout DC is maybe just a whee bit more outlandish

help a brother out

im not gonna read any of this roy moore stuff

is there any indication why this is only coming out now?

or has it been percolating at the state level before now?

My guess is women may be feeling more empowered to tell their stories.

re: #367 BlackPearl

The Post author heard some rumors when she was in AL interviewing pro-Moore people. The girl who was 14 had been upset about it since her 20s and thought about confronting him, but knew she was “no angel” and didn’t want the hassle. Apparently the reporter found all these women - they didn’t come to her.

thanks. now i dont have to take a shower

In a statement, Schiller’s lawyer said “the versions of Mr. Schiller’s testimony being leaked to the press are blatantly false and misleading

it was only 4. no wait, 6.

or they actually were invited up…

yes. im seeing that now.

from the campaign chair: “if any of these allegations were true, they would have been made public long before now.”

that’s some kind of ironclad logic there.
