I know I have some form of PTSD or somee shit. It’s affecting my blogging, for sure. I see stuff I want to write about and I get halfway through thinking about what I say and before I have even written a word I’m seething with rage and I just say fuck it. I see that fucking slimy merkin Paul Ryan giving his smirking response to something and I just want to rip through the tv screen and scream “WHAT THE HELL IS FUCKING WRONG WITH YOU YOU FUCKING TRAITOR” and shake him by upside down by the ankles until his colon comes out his big goofy ears that beady eyed shit.

Now they’re defending pedophilia. These people are insane.

Hannity is part of a lineup that keeps 3 million TVs continually stuck on Fox News. Simply moving an advertiser from Hannity to, say, Tucker isn’t going to be that big a deal.

The Alabama GOP should follow my advice…..don’t cancel the elections. No.

Just have the state GOP notify the Alabama Secretary of State that Moore is no longer the GOP candidate for Senate; Luther Strange (or whomever) is.

I can all but guarantee that Moore will immediately launch a write-in candidacy as an independent. He’s egotistical enough to do just that.

This splits the vote. While Moore certainly has his share of fanatical followers, when presented with an alternative, I think just enough Republicans will vote for the other guy.

Of course, there is the risk that Moore might well win - after all, Murkowski did up in Alaska on a write-in campaign. There’s also the risk that the GOP vote will be split just enough to make Doug Jones the winner. But that’s the way it goes.

Do it, GOP….follow my advice. What could possibly go wrong?

Heh.

Backwoods_Sleuth  Nov 11, 2017 • 1:56:54pm

One person who does remember is his former colleague in the district attorney’s office, Teresa Jones. She told CNN that “it was common knowledge that Roy dated high school girls.” According to Jones, Moore would “hang out at high school football games and the mall.”

AT&T is preparing for a court battle if the Justice Department tries to prevent the $85.4 billion deal. The Justice Department has asked that assets like cable news network CNN and satellite provider DirecTV be sold, according to people familiar with the matter. AT&T has said it won’t sell CNN, a regular target of Trump’s Twitter attacks against what he calls “fake news.”

Trump was asked about the dispute during his trip to Asia.

“We’ll see how that — it will probably end up being maybe litigation, maybe not. We’ll see how it all plays out,” Trump said aboard Air Force One, according to the White House’s official transcript of the exchange.

I’m thinking my family’s only WWI story is not what they’re looking for:

My grandmother’s oldest brother (born in Poland, though his birthdate amusingly moves in successive censuses to make him born in the U.S.) volunteers, his parents hear nothing for weeks, his mother illegally goes onto local base, finds him alone and unguarded in a quarantine barracks and takes him home without telling anyone. Unclear what he had - polio? flu? She nurses him back to health but he is disabled forever after, and as far as anyone knows the army has him listed as dead or deserted.

Yay, glorious war story.

I think that tweet shows their mindset in two different ways. One is the whole, “Democrats are the greatest evil in the world.” The other is that they feel entitled to power and that they are the only rightful rulers of this country. That attitude is what is so poisonous to our electoral system.

Well, it’s pretty obvious that Democrats are shitty Presidents and Republicans are geniuses. It’s why they deserve to win and we don’t.

atrios the blog owner is a progressive

he’s angry at democratic presidents for not being progressive enough

he was ragging on bush a lot earlier this week (“everybody knows trump is the worst president, but they forget that w was the worst as well)

personally in retrospect i’m not particularly 100% pleased with clinton but i think obama was good

TBH, Charles: snarking over Trump’s tweet-grammar is accentuating the least of problems with this inane statement: I can think of several things badly wrong with it:

1. Gratuitous insult: “Haters and fools”? Even leaving aside the level of projection involved there, that turns off serious consideration of his comment right off the bat.
2. “playing politics”? A preemptive dismissal of criticism? BS.
3. Making it all about “better relations with Russia”? Fine: that’s not a bad aim: but what’s the cost? Just for one: ignoring (or worse, abetting) their interference in our election process?
4. “I want to solve….” JFC, ego much? Apparently NO realization that international issue might need international help (and can’t be done via Presidential Order) beyond just Russia?

What a disgrace…..

Damn, I was pretty sure they’d already talked to every fucking Trump voter in Pennsylvania before. Guess they missed a few on their first 100 sweeps of “What are Trump voters thinking now.”

my opinion is that there is a large class of perfectionist progressives

bill was a “third way” democrat who signed nafta and the repeal of glass-steagal, not to mention his “end of welfare as we know it” drive which in the long run failed to stifle the gop ‘minorities live on welfare they steal our tax dollars democrats pay them for votes’ meme

and i could have done without his wandering penis

I voted for him twice, but if he’d kept his dick at home HRC would be in her 2nd term and a lot of dead people would be alive here and in SWA.

Obama was a better president than he was allowed to be.
