GOHMERT! in Which Louie Shows Congress a Bizarre Kitchen-Sink Conspiracy Chart to Prove… Something

Still the looniest right wing numbskull in Congress
Wingnuts • Views: 57,625

We haven’t written about the Dumbest Man in Congress lately because he’s been eclipsed by the Worst President in History, but he’s still trying to claw his way back to the top of the Heap of Right Wing Loonies and he made a noteworthy effort yesterday.

Our hero Louie showed up to the House Judiciary Committee’s oversight hearing with Jeff Sessions and brought along a batshit crazy flowchart to show how IT’S ALL CONNECTED, MAN. Hillary, Obama, Mueller, Susan Rice, James Comey, Fast and Furious, the Clinton Foundation, Benghazi — DON’T YOU SEE IT??!

BuzzFeed has more on Louie’s latest episode.

“[W]e’ve got a chart here that shows just how integral the relationship is with Mr. [Rod] Rosenstein, Mr. [Robert] Mueller, into this whole Uranium One thing. It sure stinks to high heaven and doesn’t appear to me they ought to be involved in investigating,” he said, referring to Republican wishes that Sessions appoint a special counsel to investigate Russia’s purchase of Uranium One — a Canadian company that has mining interests in the US — over several years.

If you haven’t read the entire piece in The Atlantic about the pathetic neo-Nazi Andrew Anglin, it’s worth your time: theatlantic.com

Our boy CCJ makes an appearance. He’s kinda like the Zelig of unpleasant shit:

A week after she filed her suit, Auernheimer set up a crowdfunding campaign on WeSearchr, a platform run by Chuck Johnson, a far-right troll and propagandist who has claimed that he has ties to the Trump administration. Within a month, Stormers had raised more than $150,000 for Anglin’s legal defense. Anglin then hired Marc Randazza, a First Amendment lawyer who has represented Mike Cernovich, another far-right propagandist.

There is just this soul-sucking, depraved combination of arrogant sense of entitlement coupled with “Oh poor me” victimhood that is by now familiar to all of us living under the thumb of Trump:

“Anglin acted like he was smarter than everyone else, and in a country where young white men are “treated in a godly way,” Anglin’s ego only grew. He had a complex about being short—he claims to be 5 foot 7, but several people I talked with put his height closer to 5 foot 4. In Davao, however, Anglin hit on every pretty young Filipina he saw and had success with many of them, sometimes taking advantage of their hope that an American husband could be an exit from poverty. Most of these girls were 18 or 19 years old, but Edward says some were younger. He remembers Anglin once picking up a 14-year-old in a bar and bringing her back to the Sampaguita to spend the night.”

Is all the furor out of the right-wing just an expression of fear and anger over them having micropenises?

Speaking of religious right idiocy, one thing that I’m beginning to find especially sad is the absence, in this country, of good science programs on human evolution.

Many people have very outdated notions of humanity and our past.

And, it seems, there is not much effort (outside of a few science advocates) to try and address this ignorance.

When Moore was an assistant district attorney in Gadsden County, Alabama, he prosecuted a murder case, and in a dramatic demonstration for the jury, he accidentally stabbed himself with the alleged murder weapon.

According to an article in the now-defunct Birmingham News obtained by Law&Crime, Moore thrusted the weapon towards himself, cutting his clothing and himself in the process.

It gets better. The jury couldn’t reach a unanimous conclusion, so the case went to a second trial. This time around, Moore cut himself when he picked up the knife. The other attorneys in the courtroom had a good chuckle, and the jurors couldn’t believe what they just saw.

Shiplord Kirel, live from behind wingnut lines  Nov 15, 2017 • 3:21:07pm

From July:
Are Trump Supporters Too Dumb To Know They’re Dumb? Science Says “Probably”

Take Melanie Austin, of Brownsville, Pennsylvania. She thought her beliefs about Obama being a gay Muslim from Kenya and Michelle being transgender were just fringe beliefs - right up until she started hearing similar stuff from Trump and other right-wing extremists.

Now she knows she’s right about all of this. You can’t tell her that she’s ignorant and dumb if she can’t figure this out for herself. You can’t tell her she’s delusional. You can sit there with her, and countless others like her, and present facts, figures, charts, studies, and more, all from the most reputable sources there are, and prove that her lord and savior is wrong, and you’ll still get shot down.

There’s more to this than the problem of confirmation bias. Austin gets much of her information from fringe right-wing blogs and conspiracy sites, but that’s not all of it. Many of Trump’s supporters are seriously too dumb to know they’re dumb. It’s called the Dunning-Kruger effect, and it’s an unshakeable illusion that you’re much smarter, and more skilled and/or knowledgeable, than you really are.

I guess Ivanka has seen the bad press about her failure to respond earlier to these allegations. It’s a d*mn shame that she has to be prodded and shamed into making a public comment about this. She’s a fraud and has always been a fraud when it comes to standing up for women. Why should she stick her neck out for women when she knows that her money and celebrity means it’s very likely she’ll never be exposed to the things the rest of us are having to deal with? “They call it the quadruple down.”

What I find interesting is that it is “An Open letter to Sean Hannity.” This says to me that the reason Moore is sending the letter to Hannity is because he knows it will become a part of Hannity’s next program on Fox. It also sounds and smells like desperation on Moore’s part.

“Well, he did have a 24 hour deadline imposed by Lumpy.”

I was on the Media Matters site a few minutes ago. MMFA mentioned that the reasons Hannity imposed the 24 hour deadline for Moore to respond to the allegations may be related to Hannity wanting to wait to see what DT has to say first, and it could be an indication that DT plans to attempt to distance himself from Moore. I gotta give it to the shape-shifter in the WH. He knows how to choose a side and stick to it. He went to Alabama to support Strange and during his speech, he indicated that he didn’t really support Strange. After Moore bested Strange in the GOP run-off election, DT was all for Moore. It seems that DT is going to stick to his guns and may distance himself from Moore sometime soon. LOL. I read on Raw Story a few hours ago that the sexual harassment/allegations women have made against DT may be playing a role in his reluctance to address the same allegations that are being made about Moore. DT is a guy who never seems to practice any restraint when it comes to expressing his opinion, but this one seems to be giving him pause. Imagine that, an issue that DT, the Talking Yam, is reluctant to address!

Random off topic spoiler post about Horizon Zero Dawn that probably nobody cares about.

While doing a new game + playthrough on ultra-hard I was looking through the datapoints again and found something that supports my contention that Ted Faro implemented the rejected Lightkeeper protocol in his Thebes bunker. My theory is that in his megalomania he attempted to impose his own vision of how things should be in the future world by raising clones of himself who would then raise the next generation of clones and so on.

“And what manner of men can live where the Sun goes at night? These tales were the most chilling. One spoke of drinkers of machine blood, their lips and tongues stained, their teeth replaced with metal. Another described youths as pale as ash, all wearing the same faces, who hunt silently and tirelessly in the night.”

So, Faro being an unhinged lunatic, raised a society of fucked up clones who I think will end up being the “masters” that Sylens alluded to. The ones who sent the signal that freed GAIA’s subordinate functions and made them all self aware. We know this signal is what allowed HADES and HEPHAESTUS to go rogue, and CYAN from the Frozen Wilds suggests that the freed DEMETER is responsible for the metal flower artifacts that have snippets of poetry embedded in them.

A society of Faro clones would have the technical skills to send the signal while almost certainly not having the wisdom to understand the consequences. Faro’s descendants may have wanted to control the cauldrons and rule the planet, but didn’t understand that once freed from GAIA’s control and inputs telling it that the terraforming process had succeeded HADES would try to destroy all life on the planet. On the other hand they might have intended what the independent HEPHAESTUS did after being freed, to start churning out hunter-killers to stop humans from hunting machines and damaging the terraforming system that was keeping them all alive.

10/23/2017 61 MEMORANDUM ORDER denying 51 Motion for Reconsideration re 45 Memorandum & Opinion. For the foregoing reasons, plaintiff’s motion for reconsideration is hereby denied. The Clerk of the Court is directed to close the case. So Ordered., (Signed by Judge Jed S. Rakoff on 10/23/17) (yv) (Entered: 10/23/2017)

Here, plaintiff’s motion raises only matters that this Court already clearly considered in dismissing the complaint with prejudice.

Plaintiff … had more than sufficient opportunity to demonstrate that she could cure the defects of her original complaint. In effect, she has already had the proverbial second bite at the apple.

While this alone suffices to deny plaintiff’s motion, the Court also concludes, independently, that the amended complaint that plaintiff now proffers does not repair the fatal flaws that led to the dismissal of the original complaint.

These allegations (some of which were wholly conclusory) were all presented to the Court in plaintiff’s briefing on the original motion to dismiss, and were all considered in the Court’s Opinion dismissing the complaint.

Plaintiff responds that the Court did not consider the supposed “synthesi[s]” of the “detail[s]” set forth in the proposed amended complaint.

Neither added “detail” nor artful “synthesis” is any substitute for substance, and on careful inspection, it is plain that the proposed complaint is simply an extended rehash of the same implausible accusations of actual malice that the Court previously considered and dismissed as insufficient.

When I was a teenager I broke into my Dad’s safe by shoulder surfing him doing the combo. Took me a while. I did it one number at a time just walking by and not staring. I was just curious. I found some guns and other stuff, including nudes of my mother (boy that fucked with my head, let me tell you…)

Turns out my brother did the same thing, independent of and without me knowing about it. He was a bit of a drug user so he was after shit he could sell. He went in and took my Dad’s silver dimes and quarters and spent them at face value (this was in the 70s). :-(

Fortunately for both of us we knew better not to play with his guns, and I’m damn glad my brother didn’t USE one of his guns.

I guess point being, never ever underestimate the ingenuity of your children to get into stuff they shouldn’t be in to.

From Wikipedia.

The Gadsden Mall is a regional 502,591-square-foot (46,692.2 m2) shopping mall on U.S. Route 411 (Rainbow Drive) in Gadsden, Alabama. Located at the interchange of Interstate 759 and U.S. Route 411, it is in the southern section of the city. It is anchored by Belk and Sears. Roy Moore is barred from entering this mall, as of 1977. In the aftermath of Moore’s ban, Alert stations were put in place in the case of any sighting of Roy Moore at the mall.

One conservative pov on Moore:

“…I promised on this site last week to be patient, thoughtful and deliberate before reaching any conclusions about the allegations against Roy Moore.
I kept that promise, and hit the mainstream media again and again for what I believe is a political hit job on our election process.
But I also came to an uncomfortable but firm conclusion: the judge is lying, and the accusers are telling the truth.
Here’s why, among many other reasons.
First, Sean Hannity asked the judge a few days ago if he dated high school girls when he was in his 30s.
The only acceptable answer to that question is, “Absolutely not.”
But the judge said he didn’t “remember anything like that.”
Come on …
What man wouldn’t remember if, while in his 30s, he dated a 10th grader? That’s not something that slips one’s mind.

“…I promised on this site last week to be patient, thoughtful and deliberate before reaching any conclusions about the allegations against Roy Moore.
I kept that promise, and hit the mainstream media again and again for what I believe is a political hit job on our election process.
But I also came to an uncomfortable but firm conclusion: the judge is lying, and the accusers are telling the truth.”

He clings to an excuse while admitting Moore is lying.

That is completely awesome.

First time I skied there in 2004, I was bought and sold on the awesomeness of that mountain just on trail names alone. There’s the Simmons chutes, Witch’s Tit, the Three Stooges chutes (yep, another trio of chutes called Larry, Curly, Moe), Skid Mark (good name, there’s a rope involved getting into Skid Mark), Vodka Shots down into Chaser Face, and others that are not on the official map.

As I understand his statement he’s saying that he was with Moore 100 times and with 10,000 different ladies.

All I can say is what a stud.

I read somewhere today that sessions wasn’t interested

In all seriousness, until Rachel Maddow joked about this image on her show a few minutes ago, I thought it was a ‘shopped satirical meme making the rounds today. Obviously, my Bullshitometer needs some recalibrating.
