Washington Post Publishes Complete List of Accusations of Sexual Misconduct Against Donald Trump

And it’s seriously disturbing

The accusations of sexual assault, harassment, and groping against Donald Trump are even worse than the disgusting allegations against Roy Moore. The Washington Post has published the complete list, and we should never stop being appalled that the Republican Party and the right wing base actually put a vile person like this in the White House.

During the second presidential debate, Anderson Cooper asked then-candidate Trump point blank whether he had “actually kiss[ed] women without consent or grope[d] women without consent?” Trump asserted that “nobody has more respect for women” and Cooper pushed him, asking, “Have you ever done those things?” Trump denied that he had, responding: “No, I have not.”

The president has held this line, telling the New York Times, when asked the same question: “I don’t do it. I don’t do it.”

But it’s not as simple as that. Many of the women have produced witnesses who say they heard about these incidents when they happened — long before Trump’s political aspirations were known. Three have produced at least two witnesses.

Such contemporaneous accounts are essential to establishing the credibility of the allegation because they reduce the chance that a person is making up a story for political purposes. In the case of sexual allegations, such accounts can help bolster the credibility of the “she said” side of the equation. Often, a sexual assault will occur behind closed doors. The contemporary corroborators can explain what they heard at the time and whether the story being told now is consistent with how the story was told years earlier. This does not necessarily mean an allegation is true, but it does give journalistic organizations more confidence to report on the allegation.

Here’s a list of 13 women who have publicly come forward with claims that Trump had physically touched them inappropriately in some way, and the witnesses they provided. We did not include claims that were made only through Facebook posts or other social media, or in lawsuits that subsequently were withdrawn.

We also did not include the accounts of former beauty contestants who say Trump walked in on them when they were half nude because there were no allegations of touching. Trump had bragged on the Howard Stern show of his “inspections” during the pageants: “You know they’re standing there with no clothes. Is everybody OK? And you see these incredible looking women. And so I sort of get away with things like that.”

if you missed the last thread: lime roasted green beans
(we double this)

1 lb green beans
3 tbsp or so, butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder, - (this is a quickie recipe so feel free to chop up real garlic)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tbsp lime juice

Heat to 375
veg spray a large glass baking dish
Melt butter and combine with olive oil and dry ingredients
Put green beans in a large bowl, pour in mixture and toss until evenly coated
Pour into baking dish
don’t wash the bowl
Cook for appx 35 minutes or until beans on top begin to lightly brown
you can broil a minute or two at the end
Pour back into bowl
Add lime juice, toss to coat
you can also add add grated lime peel, chopped toasted almonds (1/4 c for a lb of beans), more salt and pepper, etc

My water company is so asinine about bill payments. For one they charge a flat $3.50 fee for any payment made with a credit or debit card.

Then, due to some screwy state law, they have to actually bill the fee separately from my monthly amount so my account gets hit for say, $60 and then $3.50. Sometimes the charges clear a day apart which can be a pain when money is tight.

The vet gave me 3 options: 1) do a splenectomy and maybe extend her life by 6 months; 2) palliative care with prednisone and symptom treatment; or 3) euthanasia. Rejected 3 because regardless she had a few months left. Rejected the surgery because it wasn’t worth putting her through that pain and recovery. She was 13 years old, very arthritic and the surgery would mean we’d have to reduce her pain meds for that. No.

We had another 7 really good months together after that. She felt pretty good, got her Wendy’s bacon cheeseburger for dinner every night, and slipped away in her own bed next to her family. I never questioned the decision being the right one for her and us.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman (D) is investigating what he calls a massive scheme to corrupt the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) with fake public comments on net neutrality.

In an open letter to Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai, Schneiderman said the agency hasn’t provided him with information “critical” to an investigation his office is conducting.

My water company is so asinine about bill payments. For one they charge a flat $3.50 fee for any payment made with a credit or debit card.

Then, due to some screwy state law, they have to actually bill the fee separately from my monthly amount so my account gets hit for say, $60 and then $3.50. Sometimes the charges clear a day apart which can be a pain when money is tight.

When we were in Canada last year, there was a question as to whether we’d paid our telephone bill. I logged onto the CenturyLink Website to check my bill, and got into a live chat on how to pay it.

The customer service rep said that I could pay it on-line with my ATM card or checking account number, but there would be a $20 fee for that.

I told them to piss off and I would pay it by mail from Canada.

It would seem that accepting credit cards (or ATM cards) would be cheaper than actually opening envelopes and handling a paper check. I’m guessing a critical mass of people have moved to things like credit cards and on-line bill paying now that they can get away with slapping a fee for non-service because they can.

My license plates were expiring this month, so we went into town (holy crap there is a bunch of traffic on US-26 … it looks like Wyoming is evacuating) to pay the fee for another year.

I learned something new about Nebraska: The state requires you get new plates every five years. Thus, new license plates were waiting for me at the county tax office.

The new Gold Star Family plate has been slightly redesigned from the old plate. I spent the evening before coming on here putting on my new license plates and changing the flags in the village park (the old ones were faded and badly worn). That’s a busy day around here… .

I mentioned a few days ago about a schoolmate revealing many years later how our high school physics teacher had molested her. I finally had time to read her lengthy story, and it went far beyond molestation.

He had raped her on a school trip when she was 15. After suffering months of depression and being near-suicidal, she finally reported it to the school administration. Though he was eventually forced to retire quietly, my schoolmate (younger sister of a classmate) endured months of social isolation and cruelty for blowing the whistle on one of the school’s more popular and effective teachers, a guy who helped lots of kids get into college on sports and science scholarships, and who had led the lacrosse team on championship and championship.

While she recovered and went on to be a successsful lawyer, life for that teacher took a turn for the worse. He had molested his daughters. Both committed suicide years ago. He also had molested his grand-daughter, and that’s what finally got him a criminal record, jail time and an entry on a sex offenders registry. He died at age 80.

And it turns out that our high school knew about his problems when they hired him in 1962, because that’s why he had to leave his previous school. It was another twenty years before he was finally forced out of our school after that girl reported the rape.

Though the rape happened after I had already graduated, there were other incidents that occurred while I was in high school that I never knew about at the time, but have since come to light. He was someone who, by virtue of his position, reputation and alleged devotion to his church, managed to prey on teenaged girls for more than 20 years. And our high school administration and school board, who were more worried about the reputation of the school district than the girls, let it go on far too long.
