That was lovely.

The tone some of these guys get out of their guitars is breathtaking.

There’s one guy I occasionally try to talk to, but he’s very quick to MBF, or brush something off. He adopted a kid last year, and I’m sure took advantage of the available tax credit for it. But, when I brought up that the new tax bill would eliminate that and other credits, he went “I think those things should be done away with. It’s not the job of the IRS to try to make people do the right thing.”

Woohoo - got my new Kindle Fire HD 8 tablet, and for a $50 tablet this thing is awesome. Much faster than my older one, nicer screen, Micro SD card storage, it’s great.

And not only that, with this new version you can install the Google Play store without rooting the tablet, and get access to the entire catalog of Android apps. Yeah, I’m stoked with this gadget.

boomantribune.com

I just really want to recommend this article, because it ties our new “friend” Konstantin Rykov to the prostitution business in Moscow, as well as offering DT some political backing from Putin following DT’s loud displeasure with President Obama’s re-election in 2012:

By the way, it looks like someone tried to figure out how many women are available on Dosung in Moscow who will pee on command (rather than allow someone to pee on them) and came up with the number one hundred and eighty six. So, no shortage, in other words.

It also looks like others have been on this trail long before me, tying Konstantin Rykov and Artem Klyushin together as Twitter buddies for example, and then quite obviously noting disturbing connections between Klyushin, Trump, and the 2013 Miss Universe pageant.

I’m sure this is all just fake news, but I thought I’d mention it anyway.

I bought one of these last year, amazon.com. It’s a Lenovo Yoga Book, 10”, Android, 64GB storage (you can put up to a 128GB SD card in if you need more). The real kicker is the 4GB ram. No delays. It has a keyboard area that can be used as a drawing area using the supplied stylus. Folded back, though, it’s less than .25” thick.

Found a neat link on the early suffragettes (Stanton, Gage, along with Anthony) and how they were influenced by the Haudenosaunee (the five nations of the Iroquois confederacy) women they knew in upstate New York. Some of the references to the native American women and how wonderful they had it ring a little of wishful thinking to me, but it is a fascinating concept.
