Today Donald Trump Retweeted 3 Anti-Muslim Propaganda Videos From a British Fascist Group

Sarah Huckabee Sanders says “who cares if they’re real or not?”
Politics • Views: 41,919

The “Britain First” party is a neo-fascist ultra-nationalist group of skinheads and Nazis that sprang out of the notorious British National Party, founded by a Calvinist minister linked to Ulster loyalist groups in Northern Ireland. Their “deputy leader,” Jayda Fransen, has been found guilty of hate crimes in the past, and was just charged with more hate crimes last week.

This group is about as extreme as it gets, and in the Trump era they’ve been focusing on anti-Muslim activities, organizing gangs of skinheads to invade mosques among other publicity stunts.

And today, our so-called president retweeted three anti-Muslim propaganda videos posted on Twitter by Jayda Fransen — one of which has already been shown to be a fraud.

Former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke thought Trump’s retweets were just great.

British Prime Minister Theresa May, however, was not pleased.

And in a sad and disgusting irony, the White House that screams “FAKE NEWS!” about every article criticizing Trump has officially stated that it doesn’t matter if these videos are real.

“Whether it is a real video, the threat is real,” Sanders told a small group of reporters after appearing on Fox News. “That is what the President is talking about, that is what the President is focused on is dealing with those real threats, and those are real no matter how you look at it.”

When pressed on whether it matters if the video is real, Sanders said reporters were “focusing on the wrong thing.”“The threat is real,” she said, later adding that “the threat needs to be addressed. The threat has to be talked about and that is what the President is doing in bringing that up.”

This disgusting president is a clear and present danger to the United States, and every day he remains in office he degrades the presidency further.

Does anyone else find it interesting that these British fascists are using the same tactics as radical Islamists to incite their followers to violence? Posting inflammatory videos or stories to make them believe the other side is attacking their religion’s followers and icons.

Fundamentalist extremists are the same the world over. The target of their propaganda may be different, but their tactics are pretty much always the same.

I want to note that legendary professional wrestler and sports hero (and previous/current member of the House of Councilors) Antonio Inoki himself is a Muslim, having converted in 1990, something he publicly revealed in 2012.

Considering he was re-elected and reassumed office in 2013…yeah….I doubt that would have happened if Islam were so reviled there, either his conversion or subsequent re-election.

It’s going to take a lot to fix the mess that electing Trump caused. My worry is when the Democrats inevitably won’t be able to fix it all in one or even two presidential terms, we’ll be suspectable to another Republican con man.

When Democrats do fix everything, people will decide that the party that’s working for them has been in power for too long, and Republicans need to govern because they’re not going to mess things up.

So my MIL calls me this morning to ask about when her retirement check gets deposited. I ask why…she says she wants to make sure a check she wrote will clear (for $2,600). I said, “Who to?” She said it was some cremation service. I said, “You’re not fucking dead yet.” She said it was a pre-pay thing so we wouldn’t have to worry about it after she was gone. I went online to her account and put a stop-payment on the check, then called the company to tell them to leave her the fuck alone. The woman she spoke with said, “Well, she placed the order so I’ll have to check with her.” I said, “Family will handle that shit.” Then called my MIL before her and told her how to politely let the lady know she didn’t need their services.

I then yelped them…they suck. Sick fucking predators.

re: #112 darthstar

Report them to your state’s consumer protection agency. In Kentucky its at the Attorney General’s Office.

It just keeps getting worse every single day.

Former Massey Energy CEO Don Blankenship to run for U.S. Senate

Manchin, a Democrat, is seeking re-election. In the Republican primary, Blankenship will square off against U.S. Rep. Evan Jenkins and West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey.

In February, Blankenship’s petition for a rehearing of his appeal of his conviction was denied by the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. In January, the court already had ruled that U.S. District Court in Charleston committed no reversible errors and denied Blankenship’s battle to get his conviction overturned.

Blankenship served a one-year sentence at a California prison for conspiring to willfully violate mine safety standards.

Blankenship’s misdemeanor conviction came after 24 days of testimony in connection with his involvement in the Upper Big Branch explosion that killed 29 men in 2010.

If the Dems have to rely on Manchin and Sanders they’re totally fucked anyway.

I’ve more or less understood Sanders to be a fairly reliable back bencher. As for Manchin, if you want a majority (which means control of committees and the subpoena power), you’re going to need him to hold his seat. Because there just aren’t a lot of good spots for the Democrats to pick up a majority next year otherwise. Seriously, these are the states Republicans have to defend: Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Texas, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Meanwhile, the other 23 seats up are held by Democrats and include places like Missouri, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Montana, and Pennsylvania.

In an ordinary political climate, the Republicans would be expecting to expand their majority.

Yeah, but the industry itself is being killed by the massive availability of free porn sites. No one’s really paying for it anymore, which makes me wonder how the hell it’s still viable. This isn’t like the Golden Age of Porn or anything, where those flicks were being shown in cinemas with a couple of them actually getting quite close to mainstream Hollywood production values (The Devil in Miss Jones is usually cited as an example of that).

From my own experience, let me put it this way: I felt A LOT more of a welcome in Tokyo than in freakin’ Toronto.

FYI - If you have a Mac running OS X 10.13 (High Sierra) make sure to install the security patch that came out today. It fixes an inexcusable whopper of an exploit that can allow someone to bypass the administrator password and gain root access from the login screen.

Scout  Nov 29, 2017 • 2:58:19pm

I find myself kind of fixating on Lauer having a secret button that locked his office door.

At first I wondered why someone would have such a thing in the first place. Then it occurred to me that a person might legitimately want to lock their door quickly if they were apt to discuss confidential or otherwise sensitive topics and don’t want people barging in and hearing something they shouldn’t.

For instance, I picture how this could be important for a lawyer. I’m sure there are other professions where this might also be important. Say counselors or psychologists. Maybe teachers or school administrators. Probably lots of people.

But for this to be effective for a predator, the lock would have to prevent the victim from LEAVING the room. That’s the part that weirds me out. How could you justify having THAT feature installed?

Who would approve such a thing, and who would install it?

Am I missing a legitimate need for such a feature?

I’m thinking that this specific situation has to do with the ability Lauer had to make millions for the network. It seems to me that at some point in his career at the network, Lauer and network execs began to think that he was such a valuable asset that anything he asked for, he could get even if it was an automatic lock on his office door that Lauer misused to sexually harass women he came into contact with.

Facebook Post

His position aside, why does Israel get singled out more than other countries? I can think of other countries that are FAR worse in human rights than Israel where musicians have no problem performing gigs in, such as Georgia, Russia, Egypt, Turkey, Hungary, Mexico, or Thailand. Or Hell, even America under our Pumpkin Pinochet here, so why not be principled and apply it on a wide scale instead of just solely Israel?

Again, I’m not saying Israel is not guilty of crimes committed, but I’m just speaking of the double standard here.

If there are men currently rummaging through their minds trying to call up all their misdeeds, that is if they see them as such, then that sweating is good for them. This is what brings change of behavior; having to face it and think if you are one of the problems.

The frustrating thing though is they never say that and I think extreme critics of Israel discredit legitimate criticism of Israel that can and should be made. It also unfortunately as you get ignores real genocides like the one in Myanmar. I feel so stuck in the middle on the whole Israel argument too often. I definitely support Israel’s right to exist and I definitely see why they have had to take extra cautious national security precautions due to threats by their neighbors but at the same time, I don’t like the notion that Bibi especially pushes that criticism of Israel is inherently antisemitic. I of course don’t think you should ignore antisemtiism either.

But what really gets me is this, he claims Snopes is lies and baised when he posts stuff from Ben Shapiro and has posted stuff that I can easily debunk and other stuff like the bits on sexuality that just make him look really shallow and I told him in person once that he has no room to complain about “big government” when he supports bathroom bills. He just shrugged adn gave me some bullshit about how you can always tell if someone’s transgendered.

Charter is using net neutrality repeal to fight lawsuit over slow speeds

The impending repeal of net neutrality rules is being used by Charter Communications to fight a lawsuit that alleges the company made false promises of fast Internet service.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman in February filed the lawsuit against Charter and its Time Warner Cable (TWC) subsidiary. Meanwhile, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai this month submitted a proposal to roll back the FCC’s net neutrality rules and to preempt state governments from regulating net neutrality on their own.

Yeah I know. But as I said, he also told me tonight that I was giving Trump, who by his own words is a narcissist what he wants by calling him out on the Warren comment when he’s someone who posts stupid memes about lefty student activists who have literally no impact on his life and certainly aren’t influncing it through policy. So he has to share a bathroom with someone who may have been born female. When I take a piss or shit in a public place, I don’t look at who I’m sharing the bathroom with. I want to do my business and get back to what I’m doing.

Look, it’s simple, we’re going to cut corporate tax rates and the rates for the highest earners (we’re probably also going to sneak in a cut to capital gains taxes just for the extra fun of it). Then those corporations, despite what they have been saying for the last couple of years, they’re going to use that extra money to invest in their companies… No, no, no, we don’t mean that they’re going to buy back stock in order to further inflate the value of their executives’ stock holdings, they’re going to hire people and buy things, they might even raise wages… why are you laughing? I read in my economics class my freshman year of college that this is exactly how it works. Trust me, it’ll be fine.

Because of course

Alabama Republican Senate Candidate Roy Moore co-authored a study course, published in 2011 and recently obtained by ThinkProgress, that instructs students that women should not be permitted to run for elected office. If women do run for office, the course argues, people have a moral obligation not to vote for them. The course is also critical of the women’s suffrage movement, which in 1920 secured some American women the right to vote.

It was a number of things. First I got bored listening to him do the same show every day. Then it was the endless excuses for the Republicans screwing up everything. First it was because they only controlled the House. Then it was because they only controlled the House and Senate. When the got the presidency on top of that it was because there were still Democrats in government.

By that time he was already a parody of himself and I was done with him. I also listened to other wingers as well, mainly the Savage Wiener since he was local to where I lived at the time. And Alabama will still vote for Moore, because “democrats”.

AL GOPers will vote for Moore despite knowing:
He allegedly sexually assaulted minor girls - that’s statutory rape;
He was impeached/removed from the state judiciary twice for failing to follow the law;
He is a misogynist who doesn’t think women should have a right to run for office (or do much else outside the home); and
He repeats claims that felons are voting (as though that’s a bad thing - and state law specifically allows felons to reclaim their right to vote).

Law & Government: An Introductory Study Course includes lecture follow-up questions and writing assignments that will help students engage each subject at a deeper level. Shariah’s fine with them if it’s done in the name of Christianity. If radical Islamists were smart, they’d infiltrate these religious right groups and do everything possible to weaken separation of church and state because there is an audience in this country who is fine with that. I always said if Shariah ever did come, it would be because wingnuts weakened the separation of church and state and not liberals who treat Muslim citizens with respect and dignity.

What a fuckin’ shitty day. Murkowsky got bribed to vote for the Tax Bill. From what i’ve seen, all the GOP had to do was toss her the “Open ANWR to Drilling” bait and she took it.

Drilling ANWR is not going to solve the fiscal situation up here in Alaska. There’s just too much cheaper oil on the market from elsewhere to make Alaska oil affordable. This State is already in dire financial straights. Our Legislature just completed their 4th special session and did nothing towards solving the financial problems. Just kicked the can down the road.

In 2008 I thought retiring and staying in Alaska was a good choice for all the tax situation but all the advantages are slowly disappearing. The City has reduced our senor sales tax exemption, the State has reduced by half our Permanent Fund Distribution, and it looks like we will eventually have an Income Tax or State-wide sales tax.

Rant Off/

So what to do? If/when this tax bill passes, I expect the stock market to sink like a submarine. Sure the rich corporations will have their super-dooper tax breaks but their customers will not be able to afford any of their products.

Question for all. If you have some small investments in stock market mutual funds should you stay or move into bond funds? Can the companies in the S&P maintain their current profits if they have no customers?

Right now I’m thinking we’re heading into a depression that will make the ‘30’s a walk in the park.

Fox News, as usual. They’re reporting a letter sent by the committee senior counsel to Nunes, saying that “stonewalling” by the FBI and DOJ would need to be addressed with contempt citations.

This is the “investigation” into the CT that the FBI used the Steele dossier to get FISA warrants to wiretap Trump associates, wiretaps that led to info about (among others) Mike Flynn. In other words it’s the continued obsession with the “fruit of the poisonous tree” BS that Fox thinks will be enough to kill the Russian investigation.

O’Keefe’s annual compensation also ballooned from $56,000 in 2012 to to $235,471 in 2015. Data for 2016 was not available.

Much like past scandals, they’ll insist that if voters thought the accusations were true, they wouldn’t have voted for him. Thus they’ll declare that the matter has been settled, he’ll be seated without delay, and any talk about ethics investigations can be quietly dropped.

Spiritual Advisor to the GOP, Pat Robertson, today is bemoaning that so many good (Republican) men are having their careers destroyed by female disciples of the devil.

Right now I’m thinking we’re heading into a depression that will make the ‘30’s a walk in the park.

my two cents. I thought the market was going to tank by now. It hasn’t and I lost some potential money that I took out of stocks. I think that if the tax bill passes the market will go up (for awhile). Companies that have more cash will spend it on dividends and stock buy backs. This will force stocks higher, until the bubble breaks. And when it does break (middle/late 2018) be ready.

I have stop losses on most of my stocks. Bonds could also be a problem. In short, no one knows when the market is going to turn, but it’s going to turn.

I don’t think that the impact on the stock market will be that immediate. Negative impacts on the lower and middle class are loaded into future years after the offsetting tax cuts disappear. From what I’ve read, Wall Street Analysts (men and women who actually study and know shit as opposed to lobbyist and PR hacks) suggest the most likely route to a recession is through the impact on housing prices which would be more immediate.

The mortgage and property tax exemptions being removed by the elimination of SALT should have a fairly immediate impact on housing prices - it’s going to make owning a home more expensive, which should drive down prices. The elimination of SALT also takes away state and local tax exemptions, which will further stress people in states that collect revenue in this way. The result could be another housing crisis.

Looks like Lauer was out of control. So much of the behavior seems to be fitting a pattern too. Yeesh. The guy has been at this for some time while out reporting on others like Bill O’Reilly and Anthony Wiener and the like.

Page Six - Matt Lauer accused of sexting NBC intern and staffers

Matt Lauer has also been accused of sexting female staffers at NBC, allegedly sending lewd messages and revealing pictures to women including a young intern.

Sources tell Page Six that the reason he was fired so quickly by NBC News is that the messages, saved by an NBC employee whom he approached while they were in Sochi, Russia, for the 2014 Winter Olympics, “showed incontrovertible proof of inappropriate sexual behavior on his part.”

It is believed the first woman to come forward and complain about Lauer is a junior production worker who was at the 2014 Sochi Olympics as an intern, where she was first approached by Lauer.

NBC News President Andy Lack said in a meeting with staff Wednesday that Lauer’s involvement with the woman, who has not been named but is still an NBC employee, continued after they returned to New York.

A source told Page Six, “There’s at least one picture [sent to her by Matt] which was a major part of the evidence, which is why the firing came so quickly … my understanding was it was so damning that it was unquestionable whether or not he should be fired.

“I think everyone was a bit surprised how quickly this all turned around. No one expected his termination to happen that quickly. I believe the silver bullet was the photo and that was so damning that they had no other option but to fire him.

The wingnut pundits declared that America had made a mistake in bailing out the banks, that we should have “let them fail” because the government shouldn’t be picking winners and losers, and besides the whole fall of the housing market was due to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mack anyway!

The moonbat pundits then chimed in that TARP was a huge mistake because the bailout had meant bankers wouldn’t be hung from lampposts, which was a major missed opportunity for “the revolution.” That “neoliberals” had supported the bailout and thus the DNC had “sold out” to the bankers when they should have been supporting calls for bankers to be publicly flogged.

Both sides then came together and agreed that the bailouts were wrong and “both sides” had erred in not allowing the banking sector to crash as their individual philosophies demanded. And if you pointed out that the banks collapsing would have meant economic carnage, you were treated like an idiot who didn’t understand that “banks fail all the time” and this would just be a “correction” rather than the start of another Depression.

If could be wrong, but last I checked.

1. The mortgage deduction is eliminated on values over 1 million in the Senate Plan as opposed to 1 million in the house. The impact is in general on higher priced real estate, primarily in urban areas.
2. The Senate plan eliminates SALT entirely. The House version left in 10K for property taxes.

If it goes like Germany, the “don’t care” third will stand by as the Fox addicts kill the good third.

re: #428 Quoth the raven, Covfefe.

Don’t give up, Charles. I won’t. No matter what, I won’t. I know how bad it is inside the derp fence. I refuse to give in to despair. Someone needs to provide the strength to endure, to keep fighting, because if we give up, then we just hasten the end of the world as we know it. Rolling over and dying never worked for anybody; Neville Chamberlain was unavailable for comment.

At least with Chamberlain, he was merely misguided and honestly had his heart in the right palce following the destruction following WWI. I know, doesn’t matter when you’re dead. Anyhow, it’s just so frustrating how much crazy crap Trump did first as a candidate and then as President. He accused Joe Scarborough of murder today. Just as he accused his former rival, who now is one of his biggest Congressional supporters, he accused Cruz’s father of killing JFK. This isn’t normal and it gets worse daily.

it’s enough to make me retreat to my basement and spend the rest of my life studying my collection of german banknotes of the wwi - weimar era

So he’s been sending dick pics. I never understood why that was a good idea. Like, seriously, if I was a random woman and got a text from a guy - celebrity or otherwise - that was a picture of his penis, well, what is that supposed to do? Am I supposed to be impressed? IT’S A DICK. It looks vaguely like every other dick in existence. I’m sure it’s very nice. How about you keep it in your pants and convince me to let you use it on me later by proving yourself a worthwhile mate.

Underling you can control & fuck

The most depressing thing to me as a Millenial is seeing how many young people seem to think that the Nazis weren’t so bad. I know they’re a minority but this can’t be ignored. It needs to be confronted.

Keep telling us that, because I’m in the same leaky boat and my bailing can has a hole in the bottom. I know despair is a sin, dear Lord, but lordy I’m sinning tonight.

He’s had a tremendous advantage in an r+xxxxxxxxxxx state

When Moore won his runoff, I figured we had 1 chance in 30 of winning with Jones. Now it could be as high as one chance in 4.
