In Which Holocaust Denier Chuck C. Johnson Stalks Rep. Maxine Waters on a Plane, and Is Applauded by Her Opponent, Omar Navarro

Weird • Views: 70,105
Chuck C. Johnson, seen here stalking Rep. Maxine Waters on a plane as she slept

So yesterday, this happened. Holocaust-denying white supremacist Chuck C. Johnson, recently in the news for hyping a fraudulent sexual harassment allegation against Chuck Schumer, was on a plane from Washington DC to California yesterday and he spotted Rep. Maxine Waters among the passengers.

So he waited until she fell asleep, then sat down next to her and took this stalker selfie.

By itself, that may seem creepy enough. But it gets worse.

Notice who commented on this post: infamous racist killer George Zimmerman — and Maxine Waters’ opponent in the midterm election, Omar Navarro.

So we now have a candidate for the House of Representatives from California who posts “LOL” in a Facebook thread with Chuck C. Johnson and George Zimmerman, celebrating Johnson’s creepy stalker-ish behavior. Unreal.

UPDATE at 12/16/17 3:08:19 pm by Charles Johnson

Maxine Waters’ congressional opponent Omar Navarro has now deleted his “LOL” comment from Johnson’s post.

Like I said, the problem for the Rubins of the GOP is not that they’ve suddenly seen the light, it’s that they hate Trump personally. If they can rewrite history to show that Hillary benefited from a partisan conspiracy within the FBI, even if that narrative will mean helping Trump, then they’re all for it.

So then we can dispense with this being about any concern for the victims and instead concern for how it would impact the party. Which makes this whole thing a farce, his resignation forced for political expediency than about “principles” or showing “we take it seriously.”

One of the things my oldest son has to do at the University of Kentucky is score 8 total points on exams (given on the first saturday of each month) during his first two years of grad school, or he graduates with a masters after that time, rather than working through his PhD. They offer them once a month. You can score up to 3 points on each exam, and you’re only allowed to count four 1’s. Most students, he’s been telling us since he started taking them, don’t earn points until late their first and into their second year.

He had gotten 0’s on his first three exams, but found out today that he got a 2 on the one he took at the beginning of this month.

They really do. I loved seeing the father of that poor Lesbian woman who killed herself. Looking at that guy and hearing his drawl, you’d think he’d be all about Moore but that’s why we don’t judge, we listen. I just wish his daughter was here to see how far the country’s come on LGBT issues. And major props to her Dad for being willing to have his own views challenged. That’s why I don’t give a pass for “Oh, it’s a generational thing.” No, people of all generations can challenge themselves and that guy certainly did.

Note of reference, Holder is standing up for a man who was a Reagan DOJ appointee and the FBI director appointed by the last Republican President. I have a lot of respect for men like Bob Mueller. Maybe him and I wouldn’t always agree about specifics of issues but the thing about a guy like Mueller and this is why I hate the attacks on him is he’s about his country. He’s always been. Mueller is a throwback and I mean this as a compliment to the men of his father’s generation. I didn’t like the GW Bush administration but I always thought Mueller served honorably as FBI Director and President Obama thought so too. This man deserves thanks not scorn.

And the fact that, if it wasn’t a presumably well-packed commercial flight, you know that Chuck would have done much worse to Waters if he thought he could get away with it; all you have to do is remember what he tried to do to Charles by showing up at his old address.

If we remember how savage it was when Maxine Waters made Michael Tracey eat his own sternum, I think Chuck was lucky not to get gravely injured…

re: #112 Backwoods_Sleuth

I agree with Bharara. Mueller isn’t going to save us from the corruption in the Republican party. At best, he punishes some people that need to be punished, thereby holding up the rule of law.

It’s up to us to save the country. And, most of us still being white people, need to stop hoping someone else will fix it. We won’t suddenly be better if Trump is impeached. We’ve got lots of work to do no matter what, and that’s even if we can return to some semblance of the way the country was in October, 2016.

But, to sound a bit like Dumbledore, I think there’s something good that will come out of this. I think Democrats have far too long hoped that the presidency would keep things in check, and that things would be too popular for Republicans to touch. We have found out that nothing is safe, because money is way too important to Republicans. People are not only waking up to that fact, but they are actually fighting for things they care about, running for office, and getting others registered and out to vote.

REM tonight.

Mike Mills’ background harmony made many of their songs.

Good article to read.

southflorida.com

Not only was “Nightswimming” one of the most memorable moments on R.E.M.’s iconic 1992 album “Automatic for the People,” it is perhaps the most evocative example of the band’s use of orchestral instruments, primarily strings and oboe, to bring emotional depth and mystery to its music. The ensemble performing on “Nightswimming” was directed by another rocker with symphonic instincts, Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones.

“Concerto for Violin, Rock Band and String Orchestra,” which opens a tour of 14 U.S. performances in Miami, is another manifestation of Mills’ desire to explore the relationship between rock and classical music.

Here it is live, which is perfect.

Well, the White House reworked its Website to include all memoranda, press releases, executive orders, and proclamations to appear on all one page.

That little change means I have to wade through a bushel of self-patting on the back to find things such as proclamations declaring a half-staff of the flag.

As far as I can see, there is no way to sort out the rubbish from proclamations.

They now all appear under the heading “Presidential Actions.” When using my former “Proclamations” link I saved, it redirects there.

I have a few suspicions as to the cause, the video card (which is old, but not antique), and the power supply (which I believe is the same age) are two of them.

It is your video card overheating. Old video cards often get into these heat issues and cool worse with age. There are free online utilities that will let you check video card temperature and manually control fan speed, but first step should be to take the card out and give it a good clean of dust. After that, try to keep it cool, but ultimately you will have to replace it. You may get a few more months out of it with some care.

Does the system beep after the event?
If it is shutting down then it is most likely the power supply. Older supplies will fail as the capacitors leak.

The video card shouldn’t start a reboot.

Smart bags will soon be banned from flights, unless you are able to remove the battery.

The bags generally have USB ports where customers can recharge their phones and other devices. They might also have GPS to track the bag’s location in case it gets lost, electronic locks and a weight scale to prevent overpacking. Some even a motor to propel the bags so that they can double as a scooter or just follow their owner around the airport.

Ever see a story and think it is something new, only to find out it is two weeks old? I thought it was good to post it before the holidays, for all you lazy lizards. :P

by now you may now that the cdc has been prohibited from using seven words in any official documents being prepared for next year’s budget.

The words are ‘vulnerable,’ ‘entitlement,’ ‘diversity,’ ‘transgender,’ ‘fetus,’ ‘evidence-based’ and ‘science-based.’”

from the great beyond, george carlin noted a much older list of seven words. “shit”, “piss”,”fuck”,……..etc have not been banned

Get in line. There are a number of suits. The most interesting is a class action suit that alleges racketeering on the part of Weinstein and a number of enablers, including the National Enquirer. The Enquirer is accused of actively covering up Weinstein’s crimes. Since the Enquirer has also been accused of supplying similar services for Trump, as per Salma Hayek, Karen McDougal, and Joe Scarborough, this could be important.

The more worrisome and possible explanation is that they don’t care about constituent reactions because they’ve already baked in their win via disenfranchisement, gerrymandering, and foreknowledge of some ‘October Surprises’ they have waiting.

Here’s hoping that Ezra’s take is closer to the reality, or that the GOP is at the ‘pride goeth before the fall’ part of things.

Speaking on behalf of the vast majority of the American people, Republicans in Congress be forewarned:any attempt to remove Bob Mueller will not be tolerated.

There’s an AP Poll showing “Most Think Trump Has Illegally Or Unethically Colluded With Russia”.

Four in 10 Americans think the president has done something illegal when it comes to Russia, while an additional 3 in 10 say he’s at least done something unethical.

Of the 3 in 10 limiting themselves to unethical, it’s not that they don’t think he’s done anything illegal, it’s just that as of now, they don’t know that he’s done anything illegal:

“Unethical, yes. I mean the whole picture of that man is unethical. Illegal? I’ll just have to hold that in abeyance until I find out more about what went down,” said Stephenson, a registered Republican who says she’s unhappy with the current GOP.

It’s fair to assume most of these would flip to illegal on an attempt to kill the investigation. We’ll have a substantial majority of Americans believing the President guilty of a crime.

We’ll need massive demonstrations around the country to underline that point.

this is the critical difference between finding out before you vote (moore) and after (franken)

i’d try to learn a lot and fast. impropriety means what? when? at another job? power differential? open to interpretation, how reliable, etc. is the offence, if true, a deal breaker to be an office holder? i submit, franken’s maybe was not. though he might not have won an election if it was known.
and then i’d balance that with everything else i know about the race and the then current circumstances.

then i like to think i’m reasonable, rational and think critically.

CEOs aren’t waiting on a tax cut to “jump-start the economy” — a favorite phrase of politicians who have never run a company — or to hand out raises. It’s pure fantasy to think that the tax bill will lead to significantly higher wages and growth, as Republicans have promised. Had Congress actually listened to executives, or economists who study these issues carefully, it might have realized that.

Instead, * Congress did what it always does: It put politics first. After spending the first nine months of the year trying to jam through a repeal of Obamacare without holding hearings, heeding independent analysis or seeking Democratic input, Republicans took the same approach to tax “reform” — and it shows.

I’ve been thinking about the whole ‘Omarosa’ kerfuffle, and it seems to me that this is what happens when you’re racist - you hire people for the wrong reason, and so you hire the wrong people, and then you’re shocked - Shocked! - when they don’t do a good job.

Omarosa’s job was to be black in the White House. That was pretty much it. It was her job description to be the person who could be pointed to when anyone talked about a lack of diversity. A token.

But while people who aren’t deeply racist might simply hire a talented, qualified black person for a job, give them actual work to do, and still point to them to disprove accusations of lack of diversity, in Omarosa’s case, pretty much the entirety of her job was to pull down $180K/year to be black in the White House. It was not clear to her coworkers what her duties were, because she almost certainly didn’t have any.

So, now they don’t even have her.

Looks like the GOP tax bill eliminates the deduction for alimony payments.

Breaking up is hard to do. But the GOP tax bill could make it even harder, divorce lawyers say.

The final version of the tax plan, which was released Friday and is set for votes next week, eliminates the tax deduction for alimony payments. Divorce lawyers say this move could make ending marriages an even more drawn-out and expensive process, and the change could be particularly painful for lower-income couples.

Alimony payments, typically codified in the terms of a divorce settlement, are separate from child support. They are the payments that someone gives to an ex-spouse who earns less money.

If the tax bill becomes law, the alimony deduction repeal would affect divorces carried out after December 31, 2018. The new rule wouldn’t affect anyone already paying alimony.

But it’ll mean big changes for divorce proceedings in the years ahead.

I can almost guarantee you that in 2028, the Left will have forgotten about Trump and will be saying “both parties are the same” again. They don’t seem to understand that you can’t build a political party from the top down. Just a reminder that yet another study has shown that Trump voters were motivated by racial, and not economic, anxiety.

No surprise there. The “economic anxiety” was always an excuse.

Which is why Bernie can STFU, unless he wasn’t read for a female president either. Duh-duh-duhhhh.

Something Democrats are going to have to be prepared for: We won’t be able to fix much in 2018. Even if we took every seat in the House, we will still, at best, only have a few seat majority in the Senate. We have to be willing to grind through this until 2020, and then we can finally get started. Not finish, but started.

Man… I hear things like “It’s going to take a year to repair every month that Shithead sits. It’s going to take a long time.

The best thing to do it plant flowers and trees in your local potholes and wrap you nearby crumbling bridge in rolls of duct tape.

Seth Abrahmson made a compelling case that True Pundit forced Comey to act since he was concerned about leaks coming from the FBI. Not to apologize for Comey, but it is an interesting complexity.

I think our government and society significantly changed in the last year but the entire event started in the 80’s. No matter what there’s no going back to the way it was. Whether we end up in a dystopian nightmare or we move the pendulum back the other direction is yet to be seen.

It’s easier to destroy something than build it.

Ohhhhhh jeez. Cute little anole got inside. Cats discovered little anole. All three of us were after the little guy. Storm won. Turns out he’s quite the efficient predator. I got the anole away from him though in two parts, tail wriggling on the floor, anole under the ottoman.

Game is still on with current score: Storm-1, Lizard-0.

Updates as they are available.

LOL! my kittehs do the same with skinks.
Cats will sit for hours at the kitchen door, waiting for a skink to squeeze through the gap at the bottom of the door.
So many twitching amputated tails littering the place throughout the year.

It’s not that Comey was a principled martyr. It’s that his firing was done in a way that violated the relationship between the office and the president.

I personally get a little chuckle at the tweets he puts out sounding so high minded. The quotes are pretty cool, but they’re not going to do anything for his reputation.

Everyone needs to be their own PR agent these days.

Especially for an ex FBI guy. Who could you trust with your reputation?

As noted above, “partisan” to Republicans means “They aren’t on our side.” If Comey had recommended criminal charges against Hillary last year and/or dropped the Russia investigation when ordered, he’d still be serving today and the GOP would still be singing his praises. And if Mueller were steering his investigation towards a quick conclusion with no charges, they’d also be totally cool with him. The attacks only began in earnest against him the moment he started bringing criminal charges and closing the noose on Donny.

There are enough hidey holes that are kitteh inaccessible in here that he should be okay if he hasn’t already been mortally wounded after 3 visits in Storm’s jaws. I hope for the best but have a feeling I’m gonna be finding a dead lizard pretty soon.

Is there anyway to explain to former GOP voters that Trump did not happen overnight in a fucking bubble?

It’s really very simple - the Religious Right along with the GOP played The Long Game -and that’s why were at the current messed up state we are in.

All of these “Our Revolution” types don’t understand this concept at all….
