I’m certainly afraid of these Americans since they have all the power and none of the brains or hearts to use it well:

Trent grew up just down the road from my hometown. I didn’t know him or anything. He is a few years younger than me and I really didn’t spend any time in Mercer except for courthouse stuff since it’s the county seat. But dad still has a Reznor heater in his pole barn.

I believe that’s an Irish player named Gerry Leonard.

Another member who wasn’t too visible in that video but whose playing I recognized straight off - pianist Mike Garson. He’s the guy who played that wiggy solo in ‘Aladdin Sane’

Dads doesn’t run much. He has it set for like 48F on thermostat. Just enough so the water pipes don’t freeze when it gets real cold. And my BIL insulated the barn pretty well when he constructed it.

There’s a reason that Bowie kept going back to Slick. The guy was dependable as all hell.

And the message that she is sending about her own value, about her place in the White House, and about the place of women in this administration, I think, are really frightening.”

Great example of the times.

We all just have to be pissed off about something all the time.

So, when the real stuff isn’t enough to be pissed off about, or you want to ignore it by calling it fake, you go about searching for new fuel for your fires.

We sure have a lot of petty BS to get all out of shape over. And we do. It’s nuts.

Lykoi:

The Lykoi, also called the Werewolf cat, is a natural mutation from a domestic short-haired cat that has the appearance of a classic Hollywood werewolf, hence its name. The mutation has occurred in domestic cats over the last 20 years. Genetic testing done at UC Davis confirm that the cats do not carry the Sphynx/Devon gene.[1] The Lykoi breed was developed in Vonore, Tennessee. The word lykoi means “wolves” in Greek.[2] - Wikipedia

I still object to the 1986 law!

One of the big items that got yanked away from people in the middle class was elimination of interest deductions on ALL DEBT - including credit card debt, auto finance, etc. etc, leaving only mortgage interest as the last interest you could deduct.

Fuck you very much, St. Ronnie….

Nope. Caribou Barbie is all in with the Fuckface Von Clownstick “movement.” Give her power, she’d abuse it thoroughly. Just look at her record as governor of Alaska, she’s as corrupt as they come. Her husband was an AIP member; she stirred up serious racism during the 2008 campaign; and her “warrior vet” son is a wife-beating, father-beating doper whose problems she blamed on Obama. Monks Beat Club 1966

The Monks, referred to by the name monks on record sleeves, were an American garage rock band formed in Gelnhausen, Germany in 1964. Assembled by five American G.I.s stationed in the country, the group grew tired of the traditional format of rock, which motivated them to forge a highly experimental style… (source: Wikipedia)

Spending a lot of time on some data analysis, and am struck about how cumbersome software can be.

Over the (many) years many tools have been made to help with data analysis. But a common problem that seems to emerge is an overabundance of options paired with overly-sparse documentation of such capabilities.

Thus on sites like stackflow there are a gazillion questions about how to do this or that with a software package. If the documentation wasn’t so spartan and at times downright opaque perhaps people would learn more quickly.

And, frankly, the more ways there are to solve a problem the harder it is to keep one’s work nice and tidy. Using this or that routine from a jumble of packages and sooner or later one gets lost in making sure one can understand what one has done when, at a later time, one tries to recreate previous work.

That isn’t sexist. It’s a commentary on professionalism. Dress is a part of that, especially for women. We don’t have the accepted uniform of suit and tie so it’s even more essential that choices be well selected for the occasion.

No-one in that family has any sort of style or knowledge as to how to dress appropriately. Ivanka always seems to be wearing cheap china imports from the dime store. For someone with the supposed wealth of the family her clothes are always inappropriate and cheap.
