How tough can they get with Bannon for refusing to answer under a subpoena?

Can his butt end up jailed or charged and tried and then punished???

Congress has Trump moles. They’d just pass on everything said to Trump. If there’s any justice in the world, Bannon could be saving everything he has for Mueller.

^^^ This is me dreaming.

Earlier in the day, The New York Times reported that Mueller last week served Bannon a separate grand jury subpoena. News of that subpoena broke just hours after Bannon walked into the Intelligence Committee’s secure spaces.
Multiple sources told The Hill that Bannon indicated to lawmakers that he would answer questions about the Trump campaign, but not about his work on the transition team or in the White House. Bannon, alongside his lawyer, said he would only answer those questions when he speaks to Mueller.

That stance infuriated lawmakers. Sources described the meeting as a “total free-for-all” and “brutal.”

Completely OT and apropos of nothing, but I heard from some cow-orkers who were at the Vikings game on Sunday night. One of them apparently heard from a friend across the Mississippi River who reported that the roar of the stadium could be heard approximately 3/4 of a mile away. Now imagine being inside the reverberating glass building with that kind of noise. All of them reported that they were still a little hard of hearing as of this morning.

Hypothetically a state sponsored cyber attack on a nuclear reactor or a dam might be functionally equivalent to a weapon of mass destruction. But it’s still reckless for the Pentagon to discuss a nuclear response to a cyber attack in the abstract. The fact remains that such attacks are still in the realm of sabotaging enemy infrastructure, and should generally be considered conventional warfare. The onus should instead be on modern combatants to secure such strategic vulnerabilities instead of using their existence to manufacture rationales for itchy trigger fingers.

What amuses me about FNC is how they repeatedly attack other media. I don’t see that on CNN but then again CNN wasn’t run by a former Nixon hatchet man outvyo create a right wing propaganda network. FNC has gotten worse in the 17 years I’ve observed them.

There’s no damn way he weighs less than I do unless his head is full of air. I get that he probably has less muscle mass than I do (he’s 71 years old, ferchrissakes), but the dude has got a serious beer gut going. I admit that I am chunky, but even I won’t go that far.

My current weight gain is due to a few things:
1. Medicaton
2. Slowing down immensely on smoking
3. More sedentary work style (15 hours on my feet to more office work)
4. Metabolism is at a minimum.

The powerlifting helps and proper use increases cardio, with minimum rest between sets.

I take longer rests due to enlarged heart and output issues (hence the medication) and had to quit drinking

The dude I feel bad for is that Star Wars kid because he was filmed without permission and became a meme like that.

I’m not a huge Dave Chappelle fan, but Men in Tights? Top-notch. Mel Brooks brings out the best in his cast.

Fallon is so talented.

Yes he is. I think his popular music knock-off routines are some of the best in comedy.

This may be as political as he gets too. He seems to stay away from politics and always tries to keep it light.

I’m not a huge fan but his Neil Young impression was hilarious. He’s good. I just prefer others.

The Democrat won in the Wisconsin special election: dailykos.com.

Democrats have just pulled off the first election upset of 2018. In northwestern Wisconsin’s Senate District 10, Democrat (and reality TV show Wife Swap alum) Patty Schachtner defeated Republican Adam Jarchow 55-45 percent to flip a seat the GOP has held since 2000. Tuesday’s shocking upset arguably puts the Wisconsin Senate majority in play this fall (which is now 18 Republicans to 14 Democrats, with one vacancy).

This supposedly safe Republican seat became open when GOP Sen. Sheila Harsdorf accepted an appointment to Scott Walker’s cabinet late last year. Despite the fact that SD-10 went 55-38 for Trump in 2016 and 52-46 for Romney in 2012, Democrats were cautiously optimistic about their chances here. Wisconsin Democrats cited internal polling (from last year) showing the race was competitive, and progressive investments in this contest indicated that this hopefulness extended beyond the Democratic caucus. Greater Wisconsin spent $30,000 in support of Schachtner, and the National Democratic Redistricting Committee spent $10,000 on online advertising.

GOOD!!

A radio station I like was playing her ads but then suddenly they were playing this really incredibly vile PAC attack ad against her every commercial break. I wrote to the station to tell them that I thought the ads sucked and that I was turning the station off every time I hear it. I got a message back from the morning DJ that sounded like he appreciated my comment and he was going to forward the message to management.

I’ll have to return the email and let him know how glad I am that those ads were a waste of money. I’m really glad to hear she won and I’m just as glad to know that some reactionary assholes spent a shitload of money for nothing.

TBH I’m pretty optimistic about the midterms. And I’m glad that Trump is acting arrogant about them.

Umm, I’ve been kind of thrilled this week that I finally got my weight down under 270. I’m about halfway into my goal of losing 100 pounds.

It’s a fun movie. Chappelle though was at his best on his show. We could use him right now but I understand why he felt burned out.

Doesn’t he have a netflix show coming, or already out or something?

In regards to MsJ’s comment about no carbs: I made prob a lb of roasted (toasted as fuck - like chips) brussels sprouts tonight. I love them, I’m sooo full still & bonus, my house stinks!

Roasted Brussels are so good. So are roasted radishes. And I hate raw radishes.

re: #41 plansbandc

Deadthreaded this comment, so I am posting it again…

Mr. and Mrs. plansbandc having spent some quality time as fat fucks, want to tell you that there is absolutely no way in fucking hell the orange bag is less than 270.

Trust us, we know. And we aren’t necessarily fat fucks now, just saying.

Low carb works. Peace. :D

I’m back after a few days of mourning. Village board meeting tonight, contentious discussions about voting for pay for board members (we currently don’t get paid).

The county attorney was in an accident in the county seat in his Smart car at one of the unsigned intersections of their dirt streets - his Smart car was t-boned and totalled. I now have the only Smart car in the Panhandle.

As far as guessing weight, I have no clue. I’m 5’10” and 115# so much more than that I just say “heavier than me.”
