GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz Defends Holocaust Denier Chuck C. Johnson, Denies He’s a Holocaust Denier

Weird • Views: 51,525

YouTube

As we reported yesterday, Florida Republican congressman Matt Gaetz invited notorious white supremacist Holocaust denier (and infamous Rage Furby) Chuck C. Johnson (who is NOT ME) to Donald Trump’s State of the Union address, and he’s been facing quite a bit of criticism for it.

But amazingly (or maybe not so amazingly, given the current state of the GOP), Gaetz actually went on Neil Cavuto’s Fox Business show today and defended Johnson, saying, “He’s not a Holocaust denier, not a white supremacist.” You can see him make this utterly dishonest claim in the video above.

In reality, Chuck C. Johnson is undeniably guilty of both white supremacism and Holocaust denial, and the proof is all over the Internet. He may deny when he’s called out, but the fact is that he hasn’t even tried to hide it, for years.

For one example of many, here’s a photo of Johnson posing with infamous neo-Nazi Richard Spencer at the GOP convention.

Then there was the time he went on a prolonged racist tirade on Twitter, shortly before he was permanently banned from the social network. We saved screenshots of this now-deleted ugly rant:

And as we first documented here at LGF last year, Johnson did an “Ask Me Anything” session in Reddit’s “altright” group (which is now banned for hate speech and extremism) and made his Holocaust denial crystal clear. Here’s the exchange, copied verbatim from Reddit:

justacolyte:
what are your thoughts on the Holocaust, WW2, and the JQ in general? [“JQ” is a white supremacists’ abbreviation for “Jewish Question.” – ed.]

ChuckCJohnson:
I do not and never have believed the six million figure. I think the Red Cross numbers of 250,000 dead in the camps from typhus are more realistic. I think the Allied bombing of Germany was a ware crime. I agree with David Cole about Auschwitz and the gas chambers not being real. I read the German War (highly recommend), Bloodlands, Mein Kampf, and all of David Irving. I’m more or less of the view that the war was an outgrowth of the efforts of communism to spread itself throughout the world. I also believe that the fears of German extermination were not misplaced, especially in light of the Ukrainian famine. But I support Israel as a Jewish state and Zionism as a concept. I’m pro-ethno state, generally. I understand why and how Hitler rose to power but think too much of our focus on World War II is spent trying to understand Hitler and not enough is spent trying to understand Weimar. Mecius Moldbug, aka Curtis Yarvin, is right. America is a communist country.

This Reddit page was saved at archive.is by someone (not me) shortly after it appeared; here’s the archived copy.

The only question that remains is: why would Rep. Gaetz go to bat for such a vile individual? It’s not difficult to find the truth about Chuck C. Johnson, so why lie?

That’s right, WWII came about because Hitler was trying to stop communism. That totally explains why he made an alliance with Stalin and attacked France!

Platypus truthers are ridiculous, of course, but this is completely to be expected when nearly half the electorate is violently opposed to reality, truth, logic and facts.

Every wingnut is their own god, omniscient and infallible. They view their ignorance as being better than any expert’s knowledge, which is a strain of stupid anti-intellectualism that has deep roots in US history. They are just dialing that nonsense up to 12 in the Trump era.

There is a tiny kernel of truth to this (not that platypi are fake).

Back when English explorers first went to Australia, they encountered the platypus. Reporting back to the Royal Society, that organisation thought the animal was a fake.

When the platypus was first encountered by Europeans in 1798, a pelt and sketch were sent back to Great Britain by Captain John Hunter, the second Governor of New South Wales. British scientists’ initial hunch was that the attributes were a hoax. George Shaw, who produced the first description of the animal in the Naturalist’s Miscellany in 1799, stated it was impossible not to entertain doubts as to its genuine nature, and Robert Knox believed it might have been produced by some Asian taxidermist. It was thought that somebody had sewn a duck’s beak onto the body of a beaver-like animal. Shaw even took a pair of scissors to the dried skin to check for stitches.

It “had to be created” due to it’s bill, egg-laying, and poison spurs. Since there are no other mammals with all these qualities together, to a creationist it’s proof of God.

a breitbarter rationalizes away trump’s daca proposal:

Trump believes he can have a supermajority after elections, thus acted and negotiated towards holding down the status quo until reinforcements arrive. If he guessed wrong, then he offered up a poisoned gift that ensured that “damages” would be limited to a max of 1.8 million, with a firm and critical caveat that many continue to ignore or gloss over.

The caveat that only those with merit would get the nod. Based on those parameters, how many qualify? 50k?100k?300k? Whatever that number, it’ll be nowhere close to a million due to gang membership, welfare moochers, criminal records etc.

If Trump is wrong about national sentiment, then we all lose badly at the polls and deserve a fully open and unrestricted border.

Platypus truthers are just one symptom of an alarming reality: Objective reality is not just breaking down for a lot of people, it is broken.

There is a whole, apparently profitable, YouTube page devoted to the claim that film clips from the 1890s are products of an alternate world since “that tech did not exist then, not in this timeline anyway.”
Of course it did exist, as extensively documented ever since, but the grifter who runs the place apparently realizes that his audience has no idea when film was invented. The average dimwit assuming there was nothing before the oldest film they have seen, the silents of the 1920s. The grifter relates this somehow to the Mandela Effect, the attempt by woo-woos to commercialize false memories by claiming they are real and it is the real world that has changed.

Someone pointed out that the real infrastructure needs of the country aren’t big, splashy things like a new highway system, because we already have one of those. Most of it is replacing old worn out stuff with newer, higher capacity stuff. Trump doesn’t care about stuff like that. He wants a big highway with ‘TRUMP’ on it.

A hideous ecstasy of fear and vindictiveness, a desire to kill, to torture, to smash faces in with a sledge hammer, seemed to flow through the whole group of people like an electric current, turning one even against one’s will into a grimacing, screaming lunatic. And yet the rage that one felt was an abstract, undirected emotion which could be switched from one object to another like the flame of a blowlamp.

So CA is deliberately chosen to fuck shit up in a blue state and give the Trumpists the news stories they want for their narratives.

re: #41 Shiplord Kirel, live from behind wingnut lines

My weird youth — not even youth, I think it was my college years and post-college and probably past that — had me reading up on conspiracy theories a lot. Didn’t believe ‘em, just loved reading about the weird things people believed. Collected INWO cards, read Illuminatus! and the Principia Discordia and Donna Kossy’s Kooks. It’s unreal to live in a world where Flat Earthism is increasing in popularity, where people think THEY invented the platypus for inscrutible reasons — and where some of the deranged stuff from conspiracy myth is real, like the Russians compromising a candidate and rewiring the election.

And Nunes has no knowledge of any of it. He took the results of Carter being surveilled and built his own story, err, memo around how he thought it was all thin and should never have allowed the warrant to be created by the FISA court.

Yes MS-13 was born in America. There was a huge gang crackdown in California and most of the MS-13 shot callers were rounded up and thrown in jail. When their sentences were up, they were deported back to El Salvador where they metastasized and really started spreading everywhere. We’ve had some MS-13 trouble even here in Massachusetts.

The creep is back in jail, along with his fully supportive creep-wife:
Rushville pastor at center of child molestation charges arrested for trespassing
As I understand it, the freshly bonded sicko and his wife went to someone’s house looking for “a family member” (said to be their son in another story) whom they believed had been supportive of the prosecution. They wer told to leave, they refused, the occupants produced a gun and called police. More background:
Rushville pastor charged with molesting children now faces trespassing charge
Since there is an obvious conflict between the son and his parents, I’m guessing that one of the victims may be the son’s daughter, the perv’s own grandaughter.

They probably didn’t plan for both situations to happen at once because the entire Republican party has turned traitor.

If I were running the IC, I would have a hard time coming up with a decent plan.

Assuming that the Trump appointee heads of the IC aren’t part of the problem.

Oh hell, he’s not going that far up!

I flew model rockets as a kid in competitions. We built some pretty good performing rockets working with an aerodynamics/astronautics professor.

One look with my limited knowledge I am thinking I wouldn’t fly that thing.

I see a big arc. Up a couple hundred feet and back down. Hard.

The death penalty is most likely on its way out here in Colorado. A jury couldn’t even sentence the Aurora movie theater shooter to death, he fucking shot 82 people, 12 of whom died, including a six year old girl.

The death penalty in the United States is racist and costly. The death penalty in Saudi Arabia and North Korea is routine and celebrated. I’m sorry you think the death penalty is a just thing. Keeping these monsters in cages for the rest of their days is a much worse punishment than death, death is escape.

Good riddance, I was in high school when he murdered his daughters in such brutal and barbaric fashion.

In his Texas appeals, his attorneys wrote that Battaglia was “convinced that his trial and conviction were a sham” and that his death sentence was all part of a conspiracy involving “the KKK, child molesters and homosexual lawyers.”
That was their case for “incompetence?” Hell, in Texas that’s mainstream thinking.

I’ll waste no sympathy on this now-deceased garbage, but I remain opposed to the death penalty. Maybe we need a special prison where child killers can serve out their worthless lives. Give it an appropriate name, like Ninth Circle of Hell, with conditions to match.

Shiplord Kirel has addressed the solution to “the death penalty” in this country many times. You want it legal. Fine. Conscript ordinary citizens to carry out the sentences, on a random lottery basis. Your number’s drawn? You get to shoot a condemned prisoner in the back of the head with a pistol.

re: #301 prairiefire

That sounds like a ton of fun. All that adrenaline and smoke, what was the mail power source back then?

We used the Estes, Century and Flight Systems black powder “motors” that were available back then. It was the late ‘69 and early ’70s. A little wire ignitor (match tip) shoved up the nozzle and then hooked to a battery with a button to send the power to igniter and “whoosh.”

The competitions were things like altitude achieved with a certain class of motor. Parachute duration..get the rocket up the highest with the largest parachute possible and time it coming back down, again on a class of motor. Egg Launch. You had to build a rocket that was as aerodynamic as possible with a chamber to hold an egg. The person to get the egg the highest and back down unbroken wins. Boost glider. A rocket engine pod got a glider up and ejected then you timed the glider return. Longest flight won.

Also scale modeling of rockets based on real NASA, Army and other weather and sounding rockets. I was good at that.

It was a blast. I always liked modeling. And to learn tricks from the professor to make a couple Ohio rocket clubs good enough to get into national events was a good lesson.

Got to go to Houston to the NASA Manned Space Center, and to the Aberdeen Army/Military Proving Grounds in Maryland for the National finals events. Good times.

“Lethal injection” has always creeped the hell out of me. It is an obvious attempt to assuage guilt by trying to sanitize the process, as grotesque as it is hopeless. With the bullet or guillotine methods, the judge and jury should also be provided with hazmat suits, mops, towels and plenty of detergent and bleach for the cleanup. There is no reason for anyone else to have to do it.

Because The Innocence Project has proved that, at a minimum, 2% of the people on death row were innocent. (as in, proved by DNA. Positively didn’t do what they were convicted of). Possibly as many as 4%; the only cases TIP even looks at is if biological evidence were a major part of the prosecution’s case, and said evidence has been preserved well enough to be suitable for more detailed/accurate testing.

The only way to be sure we don’t execute innocent people… is to not execute anyone.

Thad was killed in a crash in the early 60’s while training in C-123’s in Florida. The training was preparing him for duty in Viet Nam, defoliation, I think they called it. In the middle of a low altitude turn he lost an engine and went down.

Now that was a waste of a good pilot.
