Full Video: Katy Tur’s Bonkers Interview With Former Trump Aide Sam Nunberg

Politics • Views: 34,520

Iframe

Every imploding administration has its designated loud-mouth buffoon, but it seems like Trump has a whole gaggle of them. A platoon of buffoons, if you will.

Nunberg boasts that he’s going to go on TV and rip up the subpoena he received from Robert Mueller, and says his lawyer is going to quit… but the really interesting part of this crazy interview is when he says he thinks Mueller has something on Donald Trump.

UPDATE at 3/5/18 1:31:04 pm by Charles Johnson

And he’s still going!

I wonder how many people Nunberg is attempting to get to talk to him today?

2
lawhawk  Mar 5, 2018 • 1:33:34pm

There’s several bits of interesting errata:

Nunberg thinks Mueller’s got Trump on stuff he did before entering the WH.
Nunberg’s busy implicating others in the WH/transition/campaign with his statements.
Nunberg claimed Trump himself knew about the Russia meeting in June 2016 before it occurred.

That’s at least three very important tidbits Nunberg laid on everyone today.

Less important:
Nunberg’s law career is pretty much toast. Touro law degree is quickly being devalued. The only law school whose value is dropping faster is Cohen’s alma mater: Thomas Cooley law, which speaks volumes as to the quality of the people surrounding Trump.

After the interviews, Nunberg gets a congratulatory handshake on his way out of the building from his (relieved, former) laywers …

This should work out well for him.

Carter Page is smoldering in the corner because he was like, that insane clown routine was my way out… and now Nunberg just threw me under the bus.

Oh, and Nunberg also helps confirm that Page was a risk and everyone knew it - that it didn’t take or need a dossier to know Page was up to no good with the Russians.

I also wonder if this whole tariff thing that has the world in a flutter is Trump’s attempt to divert attention away from the Mueller investigation.

Trump springing the tariff thing on everybody including his own people sounds like desperation to me.

Well he apparently announced it on a whim because he was “unglued”. Says something about a guy who is willing to threaten the entire world economy because he doesn’t want everyone looking at his alleged criminal activity.

“They asked, ‘Did you hear people speaking Russian in the Trump office.’ “

“Who?”

[ … ]

“Did you hear about Trump Tower-Moscow?”

OK. This is significant. Prosecutors ask questions based upon things that other witnesses have told them - or that they have garnered from wiretaps.

This tells us that
1. Mueller has evidence that there were Russians present in the Trump campaign offices, and is looking for confirmation.

2. Mueller is looking into the promised trade-offs between Putin for a sweetheart deal on a Trump hotel in Moscow.

The money. The money is going to be what brings this fucker down.

Yikes! Weird day and getting weirder. Slaton is just outside Lubbock.
Two Arrested in Slaton, Allegations of Incest from Pennsylvania

Slaton Police on Friday arrested Wesley Dwight Bowser, 53, and Stephanie Marie Bowser, 34. The two were charged with felony incest in Bedford County, Pennsylvania.

Slaton Police Chief Treavor Barnes said the warrant from Pennsylvania provided almost no details into the case. Court records in Lubbock did provide a few details.

Children’s Protective Services took a child into protective custody.

everythinglubbock.com chose to withhold the age of the child for the sake of privacy. CPS took the child because Stephanie Bowser was unable to name someone else who could take care of her.

Court records said, “[It is] alleged that Wesley Bowser, maternal grandfather, … is possibly the father…”

See the Guardian’s story:

Cochran’s most recent race for re-election in 2014 was marked by a ferocious Republican primary which was a harbinger to Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign as a showdown between Republican elites and insurgents. Tea Partier Chris McDaniel mounted a primary challenge to Cochran and outpolled the incumbent in the first round of voting but Cochran ended up winning a narrow majority in the runoff during a campaign marred by scandal and sleaze.

It occurs to me that this special election was probably on Trump’s mind when he announced the steel tariffs. Sure, it sounds crazy, to throw the whole world trade apparatus under the buss for a single congressional seat that won’t even exist in November*, but Trump would do something that batshit crazy to avoid the embarrassment of losing another special election in a heavily GOP district.

So this is interesting, per campaign finance reports, Arpaio and McSally have not raised a single cent in campaign funds. Kelli Ward, who is also a crazy person, has raised $350k.

Meanwhile, Kyrsten Sinema, the Democratic frontrunner has raised over five million dollars.

In Arizona.

Let that sink in. The Democratic front runner has raised 14 times the amount of money that the three “leading” Republicans have, combined.

Awesome news.

True, but it is what he’s most infamous for, and if you are the type of person to willfully ignore it in order to make him out to be a good person, your moral compass is permanently damaged and in need of replacement.

I don’t think the newer models of Arizona Republicans came equipped with moral compasses. They were too expensive.

They did however install “twinge of guilt” idiot lights that flash when you are crossing a line, but they were very unreliable and often burned out and thus no warning and the individual would go full on wingnut.

There seems to be a Trump effect in Arizona. Bush, McCain, and Romney all won Arizona between 2000 and 2012 by about 8-9 points. Trump won by only 3.5%. And polling is showing Ducey in a tight gubernatorial race as well. Arizona may be trending purple.

As the afternoon proceeds, he is getting more and more upset, first muttering, then shouting aloud with every bad shot, “Fuck, I missed!” After one particularly bad hole, the priest admonishes his companion, “You should be more careful with your language, lest the Lord strike you down.” On the next hole, the parishioner lines up a putt, and misses the hole by a good three feet and nearly runs it off the green. Throwing his putter aside, he screams to the heavens, “FUCK, I MISSED!” Just then, a bolt from the blue sizzles down and strikes the priest dead. A heartbeat later, a voice from the heavens booms: “Fuck, I missed.”

There wasn’t anything even remotely like Tower Records where I grew up. You had to go all the way to Camp Hill to find a Sears with more than a 10 rack of records.

When I got out here and went to one, my mind was blown. Dad came out to visit, spent 1/2 hour in the Classical section - a whole ROOM! - and only bought a couple disks. He said there were too many things he wanted!

Jesus and Moses are out playing golf one day at Torey Pines. They get to the 18th hole and Moses plays it safe, leaves it short and goes over the water hazard on his third shot. Jesus says, “watch this, old man,” and his second shot promptly lands in the water. Moses says, take the drop, let’s go. Jesus says, “no, I saw Jack Nickalus make this shot in 1974, I can do it.” He shoots again, and it promptly lands in the water. Two more shots, two more right in the drink. Moses looks around and parts the water hazard, he walks across and tosses one of Jesus’s ball onto the green, then closes the water. Jesus walks across the water to play his shot. As he does, a groundskeeper sees him and asks Moses, “who does this guy think he is, Jesus Christ?” Moses say, “No, he thinks he’s Jack Nickalus.”

I was reading about that rhino. Apparently there are two surviving females but neither are capable of pregnancy, so the species probably doesn’t have more than a couple decades left.

Possibly, but the question is whether the cloning process would allow the younger rhinos to carry a pregnancy. Not sure what the condition is. Plus, I’m guessing three progenitors won’t be enough to save the species anyway.

Why? You think they’d even listen, still less understand? Trump’s political “genius” - such as it is - was giving people (and not just in the Rust Belt, though it seems to have hit hardest there) a reason to vent their “economic anxieties”* though the politics of resentment, grievance and blame. Of course Trump and the Republicans are likely to screw these voters over and do little/nothing to substantively help them: but then, shifting/avoiding responsibility for their own fuckups is one thing today’s GOP has down to a fine science.

The only way to make sense of Nunberg is if this is a really elaborate plan to hand over all the information he has while proclaiming he didn’t hand Mueller anything.

Also it might cover his a** if the Russians try to retaliate.

I believe that most people could come with better ways to achieve these objectives, tho.
