I can actually see a positive to this. Roseanne is putting a giant spotlight on Trump cult conspiracy theory lunacy to make it very visible to those Americans who aren’t paying attention like we do. She’s a great face for today’s GOP.

Wow, thanks for the music clip Charles.

Every time I bring home another guitar the spouse asks “Why do you need so many? You can only play one at a time.” Next time she says that, I’ll show her this clip. ;-)

/and yes, technically it could be argued that it’s only one guitar. But still…

Scientists discovered a moth with golden hair and a tiny penis. They named it after Trump

Evolutionary biologist Vazrick Nazari has identified a new centimetre- wide moth, disclosing his finding on ZooKeys.

It has a silky head of bright yellow scales, which the moth develops in adulthood, and its head has been described as orange-yellow in colouration, the body is white and the wings are brown or greyish.

Also an important detail - its genitalia is “comparatively smaller” than that of the Neopalpa neonata, its close relative.

Nazari has therefore named it thusly:
Neopalpa donaldtrumpi.

Comes with two USA show tickets and a meet a greet. Knocks the price down a bit. It’s new. Older amps are like older cars. Never know when you have to put the wrench on them.
Depending on the production run, it could actually be a collectors piece. End up not losing money when you let it walk. Clapton had a tweed series a while back.
They held up in resale.
One more I just look at.

Hobby, second childhood news.

Got one of my long sought “holy grail” model kits from a dealer on Ebay. Academy 1/72 scale SB-17 Fortress. This is the post-war air-sea rescue version with airdrop A-3 lifeboat. This kit was produced from 1997 to about 2009 and is fairly hard to find. This one is new old stock, still factory sealed and in perfect condition. It’s so beautiful I’m not sure I want to unwrap it.

At first I wasn’t going to reply to your comment. I didn’t want to start a posting war. But, I think I need to explain myself to you. Yes, I do know who Jonah Goldberg is and represents. I sometimes feel the postings on LGF represent somewhat of a lock-step of thoughts and ideas so I post/page articles that may shake up or challenge every-ones thinking. If you paid attention to Goldberg’s article, you should have noticed he gave a very good outline on the issues that should advise Democrats on how to defeat their Republican opponents. Know thy enemy.

I also post/page articles about topics which I feel will be of general interest to all LGF posters and readers. Since I believe I’m now the only member from Alaska, I try to share information on what’s happening up here in the “Last Frontier”. Since I am a retired Forester, I am very interested in environmental issues affecting Alaska and the lower “48”.

The consistent fear I have about this is that I fear it’s already too late. Between Fox and Sinclair, there’s a powerful enough alternate reality that may just brainwash enough Americans to give the GOP the eternal power base it really needs. Like with the Mueller investigation…there’s a damn good chance he drops the mother of all bombshells, makes a genuine case for treason several times over…and the GOP does nothing. And enough voters, convinced by the deluge from Fox, Sinclair, Breitbart, etc., follow along, led by the nose, enough that it really doesn’t matter, they vote en masse for the GOP anyways and win because nothing matters.

The GOP seem to be living a propaganda dream that would make Orwell weep, and it only seems to get worse by the day. It’s something that feels like it’d take generations to undo at this point because of how pervasive and impenetrable it really is.

EDIT: To add on, think about Rosanne. Prior to the reboot’s debut, she fucking snapped off vile taunts toward Parkland students that ABC simply made her erase, and had a photoshoot where she dressed up as Hitler making ‘burnt cookies’ with the obvious implication. After the debut, she gleefully promoted the worst of the 4Chan fever swamp conspiracy theories, and no response. All three of these would ruin a career for anyone that wasn’t a Trump supporter. But because it’s Trump, and the media remains enamored with conservatives as ‘real America’, everything fucking gets a pass, even when it’s proven unacceptable by every single measure.

It’s impenetrable.

I was just outside for a brief period because there was a maintenance item on Mrs. Fish’s daily driver that needed repair. I was a little worried that I would freeze solid, under the hood of the car, wrench in hand. Thankfully, the job was short and I got everything buttoned back up and tested without even a mild frostbite.

We had 3.2” of snow fall overnight, some of which coalesced into a sheet of approximately 1/4” thick ice at the bottom of my driveway. Made for a great time shoveling this morning after the assembly and disassembly of our church’s special Good Friday setup the prior two days.

The Monday/Tuesday snowstorm has me legit concerned because my snowblower bit it during the last go-round. I just checked it and it doesn’t appear to be exhibiting the problematic symptoms, so I may try using it, but it’s definitely due for repair or replacement if the weather ever turns nice enough for me to spend an extended period disassembling it and diagnosing it.

All that Mueller can do is to present a case that forces Congress to act or appear complicit and face political consequences. Unless they think they can safely ignore his findings and face no consequences.

Which is growing increasingly likely.

Yep, a low-level sorting algorithm. That’s the most concise way I know to write this pattern. I usually refrain from nested ternary expressions but this is one case where they work nicely.

It’s pretty standard in this case. Ternary expressions as a whole are overused; guys like me use them to feel clever, but most of the time it’s just unnecessary syntactic sugar that makes the code a little harder to read. If it’s done properly (i.e. concisely), though, it can be useful.

Since I’m a black female, I’m going there. With all of the money they’re making from peddling right-wing lies, why don’t these two have better hair dressers? I’ve not seen so many bad weave jobs on anyone since these two gained prominence and began appearing on national TV. Better yet, why don’t they do what I do which is pay a good hair dresser to grow out their own hair?

Since I’m a white female, I’ll leave their hair alone and just say that they must have picked those glasses to be as unflattering as possible. I’ll never believe they think they’re attractive.

That is satire.

Now listen to this. I sometimes forget how beautiful Jack Johnson can bend a tune.
And work with others.
I will spend weeks listening to his cadence
Then I go away
Have a beautiful tomorrow whatever deity you choose to have chosen you.
Or not.

I may be back tonight.

Gah. My nephew just posted the crap about the classmates of Cruz bullying him into shooting up the school. I’m going to ignore it because I don’t want to get piled on by all of his like-minded buddies. His older brother works with ‘problem’ kids in public schools and is a super guy. They’re not from the same mold (other than their love of Hockey).

I feel your pain. One of my friends did and I ignored it for the same reasons.

I hope a lot of Americans are watching this display by many a conservative. It is very revealing about their character and how they are only capable of throwing a shit-fit when they don’t get their way.

If I hear one more right leaning politician, writer or person say “leftists don’t want to work in a bipartisan fashion and only want to obstruct” I’m using all of this as exhibit A as to what the real problems are with political unity.

You ain’t kidding. It’s one thing for people to disagree with the solutions proposed but the full scale trashing of these kids by right wing talking heads and politicians shows me how uninterested conservatives really are about fixing problems regarding guns.

Pretty sure that’s a social media embellishment. The fire dept. definitely got the guys off the top of the truck, the fire dept. *assisted* a high dollar wrecker (we’ve got a lot of those around here, vehicles get into all kinds of fucked up situations in these parts) to get the truck out of the river.
