The warrants were a turning point. Cohen was “family” in Drumpf’s mind - a long time employee and trusted consigliere. That was a wall smashed and it shook him to the core. He now knows nothing is safe and is lashing out like the spoiled, privileged man-child he is.

And it’s not going to get any better for him. In fact, it’s all downhill from here until he gets impeached. The flood gates are open, and nothing can stand up to that much water smashing down on them. It cleanses, but it also kills.

He’s toast, and some little flickering part of his brain knows it.

Good. Damn good for all of us.

How many times can you shoot yourself in the foot and remain upright?

The R’s are desperately trying to find out.

At this point, they are just a self-sustaining, out-of-control derp factory.

It would be funny if it wasn’t really happening. A cartoon we could take, but this is just pitiful to watch.

Speaking of Seth Meyers…don’t know if this was mentioned around here, but his wife gave birth to their new son in the lobby of his apartment building.

CNN - Seth Meyers’ son born in apartment lobby

Seth Meyers told his “Late Night” audience Monday that when his son, Ashe Olsen, was born two years ago, they worried he might arrive in an Uber.

Ashe’s baby brother apparently decided to top that.

Meyers shared the dramatic story of how his new son, Axel Strahl, was born Sunday in the lobby of their New York apartment building.

Meyers said his wife, Alexi Ashe, progressed pretty quickly in her labor and told him and their midwife she wasn’t going to be able to make it to the car.

Meyers and their doula tried to assure her she’d make it to the hospital, the comedian recalled.

“I’m trying to calm her down,” Meyers said. “I know because I’ve been through exactly one birth. I’m like, ‘This happens all the time.’”

But Alexi Ashe assured them the baby was coming — and actually already had arrived, Meyers said.

“I looked at my wife, and the only way I could describe was she looked like someone who was hiding a baby in a pair of sweatpants,” Meyers said laughing.

This outrageous sentence was imposed to discourage minorities from voting.

The word for that moment? It’s “Evangelism”.

What the shitheads do? It’s “Satan’s work”. Franklin Graham is very good at that.

And in other Evangelical news, the unofficial head of the so-called “seeker-sensitive” movement, Bill Hybels, stepped down as head pastor of Willow Creek Community Church in suburban Chicago. Willow Creek is a megachurch with 25,000 attendees a weekend. Hybels was scheduled to retire in six months, but in the wake of the #MeToo and #ChurchToo movements, some women have come out to say that Hybels was inappropriate (at best) with them.

Here’s the first story by the Chicago Tribune, with all the details:
chicagotribune.com

Here’s the resignation:
chicagotribune.com

It should be noted that Hybels’ church is, in its polity, rather liberal. A woman will become executive pastor and there are (and have been) woman elders in his church. I can imagine more conservative Evangelicals are saying this problem occurred because women weren’t told to sit down and shut up, just like the Bible says.

Huckabee isn’t a lawyer, is he? Therefore his understanding of attorney-client privilege is probably based on Law & Order Night Court.

Nope. He’s not.

I read about the case in the Philly Inquirer recently. I need to go back and find it. IIRC, Meek is no saint but the guy who arrested him was a painfully stereotypical crooked Philly cop. A lot of his past arrests were being called into question or overturned.

That said, it’s hard to believe two nauseatingly rich guys suddenly have found their inner social justice warrior.

Exactly. And it’s just bizarre as fuck that Meek is their entry into justice system reform and publicly at that. Weird.

“Sorry Lumpy but Mueller doesn’t think like your pal Trump. He was prosecuting gangsters when you were trying to be a Long Island Limbaugh.”

I’ve been thinking since Trump first began attacking the FBI, showing he doesn’t trust our intelligence agencies, and demonstrating his disdain for the DOJ, that officials at these agencies would make him and his cronies pay. Trump may be headed for a lesson related to the old adage, “Payback is a mthrfkr.” He’s been running his damn mouth by disparaging dedicated, lifelong career persons in these agencies, and I’ve been hoping that they would get around to nailing his ass for something. I’ve also been thinking the major reason he’s whining about the Cohen warrants isn’t because he cares so much for his “friend,” but because he’s not 100% sure that when it comes to Cohen having to choose between saving his own hide or saving Trump’s hide, Cohen will choose to save his own.

I think Trump, his lackeys, and cronies are totally underestimating Mueller. He wants to get to the bottom of this and if it means Trump has to go to jail, so be it.

Not just disparaging but actively ruining their lives, screwing with their pensions and careers. Think McCabe and their petty firing of him 24 hours short of full retirement. There’s no way they, the career officers, will let that go.

Kraft has always been a good guy, and a lifelong Democrat. Apparently when his wife passed Trump was there for him as much as anyone. Visiting regularly and calling him at least once a week for an entire year to check up on him. It is hard to look past that sort of personal relationship. Also, remember, Kraft never told anyone who he actually voted for.

Very interesting! Wow.
I’m glad my Pat’s hate was not reliant on him as a complete MAGA boogie man. I have many other silly sports ball reasons. They’re too close to my Steelers as far as championship jewelry goes and my 9 year old self loved Walter Peyton and crew in ‘85.

That seems so unlike Trump. I didn’t think he ever exhibited human compassion or concern for anyone outside himself.

re: #127 MsJ

“There’s no way they, the career officers, will let that go.”

That’s exactly who I’m counting on. Trump doesn’t understand that a majority of the career officers place loyalty to the nation over party loyalty and feel little, if any, loyalty to him. He disrespects them whenever he chooses, so I cannot imagine them taking any heat on his behalf on any matter. If I were a career officer and Trump got into deep trouble and I could help him, I wouldn’t be an Ollie North. Trump has never been held accountable for all of the sh*t that he’s done for 71 years. I’ll get an extreme amount of pleasure from seeing him disgraced at an international level. I’m seeing Step 1 as his sudden announcement that he’s not going to the summit in South America and is sending Pence in his place. For someone often described by his supporters a being a “strong leader,” he sure wimps out when the going gets even a little bit rough. I’m not convinced that the situation in Syria is the reason he’s decided not to attend the summit, but I am thinking he wants to avoid being laughed at to his face and behind his back among his peers. If I were one of them, I’d be giving him a hard side eye, and every time I looked at him, I’d have a puzzled look on my face to send him the message that he’s the stupidest leader in the group and doesn’t know sh*t about sh*t. No matter how much time WH staffers spend prepping him, Trump simply doesn’t have the intellectual capacity to understand and remember very much. I noticed the look on the faces of those sitting with him at the WH yesterday when he went way off script. They looked as if they wanted to be anywhere else except in the same room with him. He’s an international embarrassment and is too stupid to know it.

Boxer. Hard to tell from the extreme angle.

Regarding nose bopping: his favorite game is Slappy Face.

It’s exactly what it sounds like. He’s insane.
