Adrian Smith needs to defend his representative actions on the following issues impacting citizens in the Third District:
• Donald Trump’s trade war is depressing the Nebraska agricultural economy putting farmers and ranchers in a welfare situation.
• The Affordable Care Act is being replaced by junk health insurance and fewer people in Nebraska having health insurance.
• Republican immigration policies are impacting workers in Nebraska and limiting the supply of immigrants with needed technical skills for Nebraska businesses.
• Large amounts of political support money from sources outside of Nebraska tend to buy political support for Republicans divide their efforts between outside pressures and the interests of Nebraska residents.

One problem with that would be if the “trusted individual” (for example, his speechwriter) suddenly decided to go public.
Moreover, presuming the Times’s statement about the letter was correct (that the person would be in danger of losing his job if his name was released), that wouldn’t be Pence, as he is elected; he cannot be fired from the job of Vice-President.
I have no idea what is up with this op-ed, but it was sure was convenient to deflect from today’s news (Mr. Woodward’s book and the Senate hearings on the Supreme Court).

One of the guys in my office is in his district. Total Trumper. Evangelical fundie. Family values, the whole nine yards. If it was to troll liberals or deflect from the Kavanaugh proceedings, it did a masterful job.

Anyone here driving a Kia? They seem to be the cheapest autos out there as well as somewhat “what’s a credit rating? mine is -8000” friendly. Looking online at either the Rio coupe or the Soul sort-of SUV (FWD not AWD) as both are coming in with payments under $250 a month, buy or lease.
Any other suggestions?

Possibility one: Donald Trump is incompetent and incapable, and because Congress and his cabinet refuse to take the constitutionally-mandated steps for dealing with that (impeachment or invoking the 25th Amendment), a group of unelected folks who effectively answer to nobody are ignoring both the law and the structure of the executive branch in a desperate attempt to minimize the damage done.
Possibility two: Trump is presently not properly subject to impeachment and/or invocation of the 25th Amendment, but has so fully lost control of his staff that a group of unelected folks who effectively answer to nobody are utterly flaunting his constitutionally-delegated authority, and so are effectively in the midst of waging a coup-d-état.
To put the two possibilities more simply, either the rebels are justified in what they are doing, which would mean Trump needs to go, or the rebels are not justified, which would mean they need to go. Until one (or possibly both) of those two things happens, the executive branch is dangerously dysfunctional.

But as Lawhawk pointed out, New York is a very complex place, and with it come very complex issues. It ain’t amateur hour, and she’d likely get chewed up by the career politicians in this state. It’s an office that demands a fair amount of procedural experience.

I mean I have more respect for her than the random businessman who just decides he’s fed up with Washington/Albany or whatever capital. I just don’t see her being effective at governing the state of New York. I think she really thinks New York just needs a more ideologically progressive governor and things will be better and I’m sorry to say that it’s just not that simple.

I heard Dame Bell Burnell on the BBC this morning. She wouldn’t say that it made up for being snubbed for the Nobel, but I suspect it does. She’s also setting up a scholarship fund to increase diversity in physics with the $3 million prize. She talked about what someone such as a refugee could bring to the table with education. She also talked about how she was convinced a mistake had been made when she first went down to Cambridge for her PhD. She said she’d never been that far south in the UK in her life (born in northern Ireland, did her bachelor’s at Glasgow University).
As someone who has been an astronomy buff since I learned how to read (and remembers the excitement over the discovery of pulsars), I am pleased she’s getting this belated recognition.

Kia’s get pretty decent ratings…but a little iffy in crashes.
I admit I am a homer when it comes to German cars, but I would suggest looking for a two/three year old VW Golf. A good solid car, and if you keep ‘em maintained you should be able to get 200,000 miles out of it. And they can take a hit for a small car.
Stay away from the Micro cars like the Fit, etc. Damn things are dangerous in my opinion.

Unlike his father, Andrew Cuomo is not a likeable guy. I vote for him because, for the most part, he’s on my side. But it’s never been a very enthusiastic vote. He’s opaque to the media, if not overtly hostile. He’s sometimes really bad when it comes to supporting fellow Democrats, especially when it comes to the mess that is the State Senate and the IDC. He doesn’t get along well at all with deBlasio in NYC. He was very slow out of the gate on same-sex marriage and even more so on marijuana.
Which is to say, I don’t think I’m at all alone in wanting a better Democrat in that office. Whether that’s Nixon or not is a different question.

Contact dealers within the area around you by Email. Tell them color is no issue. And you will be buying a car. They get one shot. I need your lowest price. Refuse to go in to talk. If they dance, move on.
