I saw some video of what started the crash at the Macau Grand Prix and is video looking down the straight from the turn she eventually flew up into.
I think there is some question as to why she hit the other car to start her skid out of control. Did the driver in front of her she hit lets up or have a mechanical problem.
She lost the wheel and it pitched 180 backwards into the wall. So, no braking at all. She was on a ride at that point.

Party Leaders serve until they resign, die, or lose a no-confidence vote. And they only become Prime Minister if their party wins a majority in the General Elections or can manage to cobble together a coalition gov’t. It’s also why Prime Ministers who feel they’re in a tough spot because of inter-party squabbling might call a General Election, as a successful election might not only shore up their own position, but also cost their opponents their seats.

I work with Census data and there are a lot of restrictions pertaining to its use, especially concerning the confidentiality of the Census participants themselves. So, yeah this seems like not a good idea.

If you remember the 2010 Census, it was an absolutely unique outrage dreamed up by Obama. I argued with many wing nuts who absolutely denied that there had ever been a Census before, since King Herod, anyway—which is who they compared President Obama to for ordering such a Biblical atrocity. Tell them it was mandated by the Constitution and had occurred every ten years since 1790, and they went off their chumps completely. So how are they going to react to the 2020 Census? Unfortunately tRump will probably still be in office….

We have a constitutional (actually an above-constitutional) right to be safe, otherwise our rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are taken away. The right to bear arms does not extend to violating other peoples rights to their own person. That is it’s limit, and any attempts to extend it beyond that - which is what whites have been doing for a long time, and why Scalia the the other conservatives weakened the second amendment’s restrictions - needs to be forcefully defined as unconstitutional. There is no separation between our rights to life and the other rights.

Oh, and, based on my sister-in-law who’s definitely a conservative, one way to make some inroads with these woman is to point out the lies and attacks that women like AOC are receiving. When I told my SIL that AOC talked to the group outside Pelosi’s office - rather than it being set up by her like the media kept implying - and mentioned that there are men on both sides that are trying to prevent women from being in power, I could see a little spark go off.
If Alexandria were giving CNBC and giving Paul Ryan’s views on capitalism, she’d be treated like a Horatio Alger character by the right but because she’s actually honest about the pitfalls of the vision of capitalism that has prevailed too long in this country, they mock her clothing, they mock that she’s not loaded financially, they mock that she has a hard time getting a place. I have some different views than her on the economy but gladly I stand with her.

i guess this is why I do give Jen credit. I know we rightfully have a lot of skepticism of Never-Trumpers like Jen but I think she’s better than most of them who will offer a tepid criticism and attempt at rationalization. She’s also called out the entire GOP not just Trump.
Advise and consent is an integral part of the checks and balances. Federalist 76 (Hamilton, of course, since he worked non… stop) also weighs on on this Congressional power to limit the president and keep him from packing the executive and courts with unqualified hacks.
Trump wants people to act as though he can ignore advise and consent, which raised the question why any president would go through that process on their picks.
That’s the effect of what Trump’s arguing in claiming Whitaker doesn’t need confirmation.
If the courts uphold Trump’s stance, then advise and consent is dead for all intents and purposes - except when the GOP can block a Democratic president’s nominations to the courts (Merrick Garland can’t be reached for comment).
Every day the GOP and Trump degrade the rule of law, the institutions they inhabit, and push their power over nation at every instance.

2) To actually buy a $6000 suit, if it’s last year’s and it’s a sample size and you got it from an outlet shop, costs about $500. Less at a consignment shop. If you’ve a few friends of approximately the same size, you each buy 1 or 2 things and you trade them back and forth.
3) How many of her friends or classmates (or the people who drink at her bar) work for fashion designers, or photographers, or magazines, or nightclubs, or stylists? Or they go to FIT and have class projects. There’s a lot of very expensive stuff being borrowed around town. It is NYC after all, where we’ve made a science of looking like you spend a whole lot more than you do.
