We have a juicy — yet pathetic — new detail today about the work Trump’s fixer Michael Cohen did for the Orange Oligarch.

You know how Donald Trump rants continuously about how polls are “rigged” against him?

Well, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal today, there definitely was some poll rigging going on in the last election.

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump’s former “fixer” Michael Cohen said Thursday that he paid the head of a small technology company thousands in 2015 to rig online polls at “the direction of and for the sole benefit of” Trump.

Cohen was responding to a report in The Wall Street Journal that he paid John Gauger, the owner of RedFinch Solutions LLC, between $12,000 and $13,000 for activities related to Trump’s campaign, including “trying unsuccessfully to manipulate two online polls in Mr. Trump’s favor” and creating a Twitter account called “@WomenForCohen” that “praised (Cohen’s) looks and character, and promoted his appearances and statements boosting” Trump’s candidacy.

In making the claim, Gauger told the paper he wasn’t fully paid for the work, though the Journal said Cohen was reimbursed $50,000 — the amount the two originally agreed on for Gauger’s services — by the Trump Organization. Gauger, according to the paper, also received a boxing glove “worn by a Brazilian mixed-martial arts fighter” along with the cash payment.

The truly pathetic part of this is that Trump and Cohen were trying to stack online polls — those meaningless, non-scientific, for-fun-only polls that anyone on the internet can vote in. And apparently, they failed at it, despite spending five figure amounts.

But wait! It gets even more pathetic.

Then, during the campaign, Cohen asked Gauger to create a Twitter account called @WomenForCohen. The account, which is still online though has not had a fresh post since 2016, claims in its bio to be run by “women who love and support Michael Cohen. Strong, pit bull, sex symbol, no nonsense, business oriented and ready to make a difference!”

The poll rigging stuff is hilariously awful, but the criminal act is the money laundering and way that all this was paid for by the Trump campaign.

It was the money going from campaign to Trump org to Cohen to the Liberty U tech guy.

It was the purposeful attempt to mislead about the source of the funds. It was about masking intentions. It was about failing to report the expenditures to the FEC.

Those are federal felonies we’re talking about.

Trump and his cronies will try to claim that this was just some accounting error or paperwork foulup, but that’s absolutely and indisputably a bogus response here. These are the actions of a crime syndicate that ignores policy and protocol and thinks money can just be moved around without consequences.

And if it was happening with his campaign, you know it was happening with his businesses too - which is why they’re always under audit. He’s running a house of cards that will collapse under its own weight as tax authorities try to unwind what he’s doing.

Congress is supposed to be a co-equal branch of government. This should be a no-brainer. Congress shouldn’t have to be kowtowing to the Executive to have security clearances for their staff, either. The congressional Republicans were happy enough to abandon all these powers, either being scared of Trump’s base or abandoning their own responsibilities to second-guess and throw rocks at Obama.

Congress is supposed to be a co-equal branch of government. This should be a no-brainer. Congress shouldn’t have to be kowtowing to the Executive to have security clearances for their staff, either. The congressional Republicans were happy enough to abandon all these powers, either being scared of Trump’s base or abandoning their own responsibilities to second-guess and throw rocks at Obama.

Forget supposed. They are, and any action taken by Trump to restrict Congress is a violation of the constitution.

Judges are subject to impeachment. But I’m not sure they’ve shown themselves to be incompetent as judges. Kavanaugh showed himself to be unfit for the job at his hearing; but Gorsuch is a fairly standard issue conservative justice from what I’ve seen so far. Yeah, it sucks that it’s potentially two justices that Clinton could have appointed, but it is what it is.

3 lawsuits so far, and 27 cases of this doctor overdosing people on Fentanyl.

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The Mount Carmel Health System and a doctor are facing a third wrongful death lawsuit, claiming a 44-year-old man was killed by a morphine overdose.

The lawsuit was filed against Mount Carmel Health, Dr. William Husel and several others on behalf of 44-year-old Troy Allison, who died at Mount Carmel West on July 15, 2018.

According to the lawsuit, Allison was prescribed and given a lethal dose of narcotics that served no therapeutic purpose and which likely caused his death.

Christine Allison was informed of the incident through a phone call by a Mount Carmel administrator on December 27.

Lawsuits were also filed by the families of Janet Kavanaugh and Bonnie Austin. The families’ attorneys say both Kavanaugh and Austin died due to being given excessive doses of fentanyl, ordered by Husel.

On Wednesday, Austin’s husband said he hopes the lawsuit on behalf of his wife’s estate will benefit everyone.

“Let’s not let it happen again,” said David Austin. “You can’t bring my wife back, but maybe it’ll stop it from happening again.”

“Decimate” is a weird word to use describing the military since it was originally used by the Romans to describe killing every 10th soldier as a group punishment when they did something really, really wrong, but you still needed most of them as soldiers.

Had this happened in the modern US military I think we’d have heard about it.

The talk, I think, relates to the sequester - when the GOP demanded the reductions in expenditure President Obama decided/requested/insisted? that it apply to all expenditure including the military. GOP always like to leave the military out of any reduction in funding. Their goal to have the only government functions - milirary, L.E. and prisons.

That and the GOP’s seamless flip from “The economy is doing so well that here’s a surplus so we need to cut taxes!” to “There’s a recession so we need to cut taxes!”

Sarah’s missing one thing. To beat a narcissist, you have to take it to them where it hurts them the most. And Pelosi did. Trump doesn’t care about hundreds of thousands of workers, but he sure as hell cared about losing his SOTU, so much so he pulled a petty move that is backfiring to everyone not named Chris Cilizza.

You have an impetuous man-baby and a house speaker who has known said man-baby for years and years, and it’s not hard to see who has all the leverage.

The only thing Trump can do now are things that are going to blow up in his face. He’s refusing to leave because he’s already in the proverbial bunker. He’s losing the respect of everyone around him but a fraction of true believers, and that won’t win him a damn thing.

But make no mistake… when he caves, or is forced to cave, it will be the end. And it’s apparent he’s going to be forced down somehow.

He’s NOT winning, he’s lost, and he is dead set on losing in the worst way possible.

Wading into a comment section to try to correct conservaderp is sort of like running into a brick wall, repeatedly.

The comment section devolved into a Dumpster fire of “Trump sure owned her” and complete misunderstanding about what the Constitution is.

The only thing I disagree with that on is that wouldn’t have caused Trump to come up with his petty response to not being able to do the state of the union.
