It is not the worst. The sugar/salt/fat combo is one that lights up the “NOM ALL THESE THINGS” center in the brain. Like a burger, fries and a shake.

Mostly, I remember working at a pizzeria where we kept the pineapple in a huge gallon can in the walk-in, and at the end of the month, we had to chuck it and open a new one for the infrequent times people wanted that special ingredient.

If the pineapple sat around too long, the juice would ferment, even in the walk-in freezer.

So after hours, we’d mix it straight-up with Southern Comfort and party with the waitresses.

War on hamburgers will start when E. coli strains become antibiotic resistant. Yes you can cook them at high heat but if they were raw the E. coli will still be on your kitchen counters.

(sheepishly raises hand)

To be fair - it was late, we’d been drinking, everything else was closed so we ordered a couple of pies from an unnamed chain. One had pineapple and ham. I had a slice, and it didn’t make me hurl or anything.

The other pie we ordered was plain, and I ate half of that one.

President Donald Trump escalated his feud with the media by another degree on Tuesday, ordering officials in his administration to boycott Saturday’s annual White House Correspondents Association dinner.

While most Americans may care little about a gala dinner in the nation’s capital, Trump’s move, which two White House officials confirmed to POLITICO, is an acid gesture to a Washington media establishment that spends months planning for the dinner and carefully planning and allocating coveted invites to the event. It may also please his political base, much of which Trump has convinced that the media is “the enemy of the people.”

Petty, vindictive asshole.

Jared Kushner is dangerous for this country. He’s a Trumper.

Reuters - Kushner says Mueller probe damaged U.S. more than Russia did

NEW YORK (Reuters) - White House advisor and President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner said on Tuesday that Robert Mueller’s special counsel investigation of Russia’s role in the 2016 election harmed U.S. democracy more than Moscow’s interference did.

“You look at what Russia did, buying some Facebook ads to try to sow dissent and do it, and it’s a terrible thing. But I think the investigations and all of the speculation that’s happened for the last two years has had a much harsher impact on our democracy than a couple of Facebook ads,” Kushner said at a Time magazine forum in New York.

“Great interview by Jared. Nice to have extraordinarily smart people serving our Country!” Trump said on Twitter, linking to Time’s video of Kushner’s appearance.

Kushner said the Trump campaign was unaware of the scope of Russia’s efforts, saying, “the notion of what they were doing didn’t even register to us as being impactful.”

The report detailed multiple Russian contacts with the Trump campaign, many of them reported by the media over the past two years.

Probably something like cookies in a computer that are accessible allowing marketing based on your searches and web sites you visit.

The caller might have access to some info on the phone that allows them to use that info to trick you.

I don’t know if that is going on, but nothing surprises me.

Trace what may be on your phone from CVS Caremark, like if are they in your contacts, or there might be messages you sent mentioning them, etc.

Even though it looks like the Mueller Report is sending his approval ratings to their low tide marker? Seriously, he’s at 39% now.

Doing the right thing, only when politically expedient is not actually doing the right thing.

Second of all, DT’s base is permanently riled up.

First of all, it’s the RIGHT THING TO DO.

T-Mobile will send to your phone “Scam Likely” in the Caller ID tag if they think the caller has been listed in some database that they query before the call gets to you.

T-Mobile is not a landline provider.

Scammers like to spoof your area code and first 3 digits (what used to be called the “exchange”) to trick seniors into thinking the call is from a neighbor. It makes no sense on a cell phone. I don’t even answer those calls.

I tend to answer my cell phone and hang up quickly if I don’t think it’s a legitimate source. The problem with ignoring calls from my area code is that they could be from a doctor’s/hospital office and I don’t have every number stored on my phone. Usually I disconnect quickly if it seems fraudulent or something that doesn’t interest me. There was one time that I started ranting at such a caller who claimed I owed money — and then discovered it was legitimate — some medical bill that Medicare disallowed.

Lola Montez

Marie Dolores Eliza Rosanna Gilbert, Countess of Landsfeld[1] (17 February 1821 - 17 January 1861), better known by the stage name Lola Montez (/moʊnˈtɛz/), was an Irish dancer and actress who became famous as a “Spanish dancer”, courtesan, and mistress of King Ludwig I of Bavaria, who made her Countess of Landsfeld. She used her influence to institute liberal reforms. At the start of the Revolutions of 1848 in the German states, she was forced to flee. She proceeded to the United States via Switzerland, France and London, returning to her work as an entertainer and lecturer.

On a related note, I have at times toyed with the idea of designing intentional “honeypot” websites to use when someone calls trying to scam people, like here in Sweden we have a electronic ID app, and I thought, why not add a feature or something which intentionally triggers a full-on trace of the scammer while appearing to work normally.

ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump’s wife Melania (and his two previous marriages)
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump having sex with models
ALLOWED: Jokes about the failure of Trump Steaks, Trump Water, Trump Cologne, and other Trump products
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump’s failed casinos
ALLOWED: Jokes about how Trump only became successful thanks to his wealthy father
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump’s weight
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump being attracted to his daughter Ivanka
NOT ALLOWED: Any joke that suggests Trump is not actually as wealthy as he claims to be

On Trump not getting it:

Jeff Ross, who understands the psychology of roasts better than anyone opened his remarks during the Trump Roast with a very telling comment.

“Are you having a good time?” Jeff asks. Trump says dryly, “Good time.” Jeff fires back, “Alright, well tell your face.”

Ross spoke about the Trump Roast on Conan, and he emphasized to Trump how important it is to laugh at yourself during the Roast. It’s a show of humanity being able to laugh at yourself. The dais that night was full of good-humored people who were cracking up all night long. Marlee Matlin who had a fantastic night was playing off of every joke aimed at her. Jeselnik mentioned in the credits that he practically felt bad roasting Matlin because of how sweet she was.

Supposedly the proceeds from the evening went to charity. Hopefully CBS/Viacom (who owns Comedy Central) was smart enough to control that part, otherwise, I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that the money went to the Trump Foundation and then into the pockets of Trump and his children.

Leaving aside what you make think of Andrew Yang, what do you think of this idea? I think it’s great. If you can’t get rid of Big Money Donors, make them irrelevent.

DEMOCRACY DOLLARS
yang2020.com
BRIEF
The trend over the past half century has been to allow unfettered spending in elections. This culminated in the decision made in Citizens United, allowing unlimited money to be spent by corporations in elections.

It’s no surprise that this has resulted in mega-donors flooding the pipes of our democracy.

We need to diminish the influence that mega-wealthy individuals and companies have in our elections. While we must push for a Constitutional amendment to allow our campaign finance laws to properly limit the power that the top 1% have, we must act much faster to save our democratic processes. To do so, we must make it possible for all Americans to contribute to candidates they feel strongly about, in order to drown out the voices of the few who can spend millions of dollars to influence our politicians.

The easiest way to do this is to provide Americans with publicly funded vouchers they can use to donate to politicians that they support. Every American gets $100 a year to give to candidates, use it or lose it. These Democracy Dollars would, by the sheer volume of the US population, drown out the influence of mega-donors. It has been used in Seattle to great effect, and we can take their program national to move towards publicly funded elections.

The big problem right now with running for office is that you have to get the money on your side and the people on your side, and these are two different things. Imagine if every American had $100 Dollars to give to their favorite candidate—then if you get 10,000 people behind you, you’d get $1 million. You could then act in the best interests of the people you represent instead of sucking up to rich people and companies. Calling rich people for money is soul-crushing. We’d all be better off if politicians just needed to worry about representing the people that elected them rather than hustling for money all of the time.

Well, we don’t have cell phones here, but spoofers often get our telephone numbers in our exchange wrong, so even those who are unfamiliar with spoofing are familiar with it. In the last four numbers, 0xxx is a business or government, 9xxx are residences, and no other combinations are used.

The problem is that many of these cases involving Trump will reach the SCOTUS. In March, they ruled against immigrants; it looks like they are going to approve the citizenship question on the census; and there is reason to fear that they will allow partisan gerrymandering. The SC will have to prove that it is still an independent body; this is not a court trial and therefore I don’t need to follow the rule “presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt”. I follow a simple rule — if it’s a Republican on the current SC, they should be presumed guilty until proven innocent.

I did this every day after school in the fourth grade for probably months: I get home, nobody’s there (I was always the first one home, latch key kid for about 90 or so minutes) and blast Smells Like Teen Spirit at the loudest volume I could muster on my father’s high end stereo and just generally act like a maniac in my father’s den.

That’s not even their best song. IMO, this is pure Nirvana.

If the Navy seized a computer drive showing this, he’s toast. The UCMJ carries the death penalty for murder.

Well we know that’s one death sentence the so called tough on crime Republicans won’t support.

Remember when Patton Oswalt belittled a disabled reporter and got his fans in a frenzy over a Mexican-American judge? Cornyn can really shut the fuck up about Patton Oswalt. And do not get me started on the RNC’s favorite celebrity, Ted Nugent who literally said he would put his gun in HRC and Obama’s mouths.

SCOTUS is the final court of appeals for the UCMJ as well. He’s as safe as a white cop killing an unarmed black man.

Yep. And you know that if convicted Trump will make him a martyr for how “unfair” everything is.

I’ll never get over how Oliver North has become a hero to the same people who want to LOCK HER UP when Ollie was actually convicted of some pretty serious shit. And I’ll always remember that my grandfather told Ollie off when he tried to shake Grandpa’s hand in the famous 1994 Senate Race.

As we know, put a government issued uniform (police or military) and you have a license to murder and be applauded for it unless it’s ruby ridge or Waco etc.
