Lara Trump: Accepting Refugees Was “One of the Worst Things That Ever Happened to Germany”

Politics • Views: 27,645

I’m just going to put this here, because it’s such a perfect look into the depraved mindset of this family of criminals and racists, as Lara Trump goes on Fox Business to do some good old fear-mongering about immigrants and reveals once again that Trumps have a problem understanding what’s so bad about Nazis.

It’s not only bigoted, it’s a shockingly ignorant comment. But then, do we expect anything else from this gang?

So how hard will the establishment media try to help Trump by nit-picking every single detail of Biden’s record over the last five decades while gliding over Trump’s glaring deficiencies? Its going to be 2016 all over again.

Well moderate voters like bipartisan happy talk. We know the GOP will go right back into total obstruction mode under the next Democratic Administration; I hope Biden knows that as well.

lawhawk  Apr 25, 2019 • 1:05:59pm

Yeah, we totally did NAZI that coming….

Actually, we did see it coming. Trump’s been value signaling for years, and his entire family is steeped in this madness.

The entire GOP is steeped in this madness.

It’s why social media platforms can’t or wont go after white supremacists with the same vigor they go after AQ or IS - because the rhetoric from GOPers is indistinguishable from white supremacists, goddamned Nazis, KKKers, and the bigot brigade.

If they did, they’d likely have to shut down a shit-ton of GOP bigwig accounts, including Trump, Steve King, and others who demonize minorities, immigrants, and push a white nationalist agenda.

So you get a idea, these are SGU’s maps for April. Left is small acquifers, right is large aquifers, scale is blue, light blue, green, yellow, red for above, at, and below normal groundwater levels. The data is preliminary and may change due to weather, but it ain’t looking pretty:

I’m kind of tired of everyone acting like the Democrats have to be absolutely perfect to beat Trump. Trump barely beat the most unpopular Democratic nominee ever by the slimmest of margins, and he remains very unpopular. Here is what happened, the share of the electorate who voted third party or independent increase from nearly 2% in 2012 to nearly 6% in 2016. About 3/4 of that 4% came from Democratic voters and the rest from GOP voters. If the Democrats just get those voters back they will win, because Trump has done nothing and will do nothing to win over any new voters outside his base. And that’s before his dirty laundry gets aired out in televised congressional hearings.

You guys are all over reacting to Lara. She did say it was “one of the worst things” that ever happened to Germany. She didn’t say it was the worst thing.

So, This could be second or third, or tenth, etc.

What? You don’t think someone could use that little bit of wiggle room to make the claim the Democrats/progressives/liberals are all over reacting?

It is a Trump on Fox News and we are talking about Fox News watchers that just happen to be totally accepting of that kind of excuse for anything Trump does.

And it would not surprise me one bit if that single word “one” was added for just that reason. We are talking about less-than-honest people.

Well, talked to the bike shop (the most expensive in town but I trust their people more) and explained that I needed a “just get it working don’t worry about a tune up” kind of thing. Replaced the tube, replaced the chain front shifter works fine, rear one not so much. It’s pretty flat around here - I’ll put the sucker in a middle gear and live with it.

$60.15. Can’t really afford it but can’t not afford it even more. Shrug. Easier to bike a mile or three with a backpack full of groceries than it is to walk it. Maybe I’ll lose a pound or two this summer.

No it is not. The maps actually favor Republicans; Bruce Rauner won 58% of state House districts with 50% of the vote. It’s just a blue state where Dems normally win more votes. Their gerrymander just cancels out the impact of segregation in Chicago

There has to be more to the story. I have more guns and ammo in storage than this guy. They also charged him with illegal possession of Tramadol, which is relatively low grade as far as opioids go. They threw that on so they could get him for illegal possession of firearms by an unlawful user or addict of narcotics. Without that they’d only have him for the National Firearms Act violation of illegal possession of unregistered & unserialized silencers.

So my guess is that they couldn’t get him on anything else. If he never communicated his plans then they can’t charge with making terroristic threats. If he didn’t involve anybody else then RICO is out the window. And if all he did was research where people lived then my guess is the federal prosecutors didn’t view that as an overt enough act for attempted murder or stalking.

It’s a fucked up situation but it really does look like they threw the book at him as much as they could.

Gerrymandering can take many forms. In California we had a bipartisan gerrymander where the incumbent state legislators basically created an incumbent protection scheme in the state legislature and the Congress. Republicans were guaranteed just enough seats to prevent Democrats from having super majorities in either state legislative house and between the three chambers, not one seat changed parties in a decade (might have also happened with the state board of equalization). It’s one of the reasons that we have a non-partisan committee redraw lines now.

re: #57 NO SMOCKING GUN!

NO NO NO. Hillary was not, by any stretch of the imagination, the most unpopular Democratic nominee ever, and she WON the popular vote with the second largest vote total EVER, and I am so tired of having to write this. She was my candidate from the time she was first lady of Arkansas, and it was a total gut punch to have Comey-Russia-Wikileaks-complicit media beat her by a handful of votes in the Electoral College.

But as tired as I am of having to write this, I will continue to object, every time you try to do this end run around the truth.

P.S. the good news about the Hasson case is that the NFA violations are incredibly fucking serious. Because even if they technically don’t justify holding without bail they carry a sentencing range of up to 10 years in prison. Possessing unmarked silencers seems like it would be really hard to defend against, especially if his fingerprints are on them, and after conviction you can be fairly certain that the judge will take all of his genocidal ideation into account when calculating the time he gets.

Las Cruces City Council Votes To Spend Up To $500,000 For Care Of Asylum Seekers

[…]

City councilor Gabe Vasquez says the federal government is failing in its responsibility to care for those seeking asylum and the city should keep close track of expenses should reimbursement eventually be possible.

Assistant City Manager David Dollahon told the council the city has already agreed to a 60-day lease of a former Armory building on Brown Road at a cost of about $12,000 a month, not including costs to update and maintain the facility.

Dollahon also told the council the federal government has not provided any promises about the number of asylum seekers that will continue to be dropped off in the city.

I’m not saying she deserved to be, but its my understanding from the polling that between all the lies the GOP, Fox News and the Russians told combined with Comey’s unprecedented attacks on her after he found she committed no crime and then announcing he was investigating her again days before the election, and the establishment media’s obsession with her emails, that her disapproval rating was the highest of any Democratic nominee in the modern polling era. If that’s incorrect, I apologize.

No doubt she’s referring to Muslims and I have to say this. I’m a descendant of the white working class. My grandfather whom I’m named after was a bricklayer and his father and father in law were coal miners, I’ve had enough of fetishizing the white working class. The idea is to elect someone who won’t allow Russia to annex Poland and make puppets of France and Germany before the EU Armed Forces are properly set up, after all, and I think Bernie would be just as willing as Trump to treat that as the proper way of the world.

Yeah I hear ya. I don’t see Bernie building relationships with the leaders of the EU like Merkel and Macron because they’re not on the same page economically. Now Warren is someone I think while she is to their left would work with them. You definitely underscore why I don’t feel comfortable with Bernie domestically or internationally. I want someone who I know will have our allies back because I appreciate that our allies have had our back despite the lies Trump says.

I’m saying I don’t get why a white working class guy gets bothered by a Democrat like HRC saying that immigrant family has the same right to dream the American dream as you. Yes we need to unite but I have no desire to welcome into our coalition people who have no desire to welcome people who are part of our coalition whether formally or informaly as fellow Americans. We can appeal to working class interests without throwing allies under the bus and the left wing econ uber alles types don’t acknowledge that.

Also, too: Warren. Not saying she’d consider it ‘the proper way of the world’ (honestly, I loathe Bernie and I wouldn’t go quite that far about him) but from what little I’ve heard from her on foreign policy it would seem she’s the sort of hopelessly naive non-interventionist lefty who would not actually be willing to employ a sufficiently broad spectrum of measures to disincentivise such a course of action.
Obama kind of gave off that kind of a vibe in ‘08, but allegedly came out of the first couple of thorough security briefings sufficiently shaken he markedly changed course.
Of course, he was entirely more of a pragmatist than a dogmatic. Warren? Different story entirely. Not a happy thought for us Europeans, TBH.

That really wasn’t what set me off, TBH. I mean, I disagreed with him on that but he was reasonable about it and frankly, that was something that was quite easy to disagree on. Finding a bunch of 10+ year old sources is going to be a bit tricky now but I’m pretty sure he was hinting at a whole lotta US disengagement, globally.
Of course, that might have just been electoral strategy, but given how many on the left complained how Obama turned out more centrist than he seemed to campaign I wasn’t the only one who felt like that (of course, they soured on the guy for the same reasons I came around to him, but isn’t it nice if we can at least agree in some way? )

Funny thing, I suspect I made the same mistake on o’Rourke. Then a bunch more came out about his background and it seems he’s actually quite genuine on that. I would love some more seasoning before he gets there but IMO the entirety of the rest of the Dem field is either even less seasoned (Buttigieg), overly seasoned (Biden), or f***ng terrifyingly wrong for the job (everyone else).

Honestly though, nothing really properly prepares anyone for that terrifying job anyway, and Obama wasn’t exactly a super-seasoned legislator either - he seemed to do fine. Sure, he had somewhat more experience, but I think that can be overcome. And Beto seems like he’d be flexible enough to compensate for his own inexperience by picking some appropriate advisors - and then actually listening to them. I think y’all could do a lot worse. But wide as the field is, it’s kind of terrifyingly thin.
