WATCH LIVE: Trump’s Latest Hate Rally in Cincinnati; How Bad Will This One Be?

Politics • Views: 25,229

YouTube

At his last mini-Nuremberg rally, our grotesque Narcissist in Chief managed to incite the crowd into behaving in such a blatantly racist manner that even the media took notice and stopped using euphemisms like “racially tinged” for a little while.

It’s pretty much guaranteed that Trump is not going to stop them from chanting “SEND HER BACK” this time, either, but he’s still pretending it made him uncomfortable — although not uncomfortable enough to actually do anything about it.

Why is CBS carrying yet another of his rallies bumper-to-bumper? I already know the answer, rhetorical question. “It May Not Be Good for America, but It’s Damn Good for CBS.” ($$$, racism pays)

It’s only good for CBS if they can run commercials during it. I’m guessing they won’t do that, so they’re actually losing money.

Was just looking at the candidate list of California House seats. Rouda, Porter, and Hill all have 4-6 Republican challengers. Cisneros is likely looking at a rematch with Kim. Should be interesting to see how these play out with our open primary system.

Quoting a tweet in the previous thread:

John Kelly played a key role in the administration’s zero tolerance immigration policy. Now he’s on the board of a company that runs for-profit child detention facilities.

For-profit child detention facilities.

I can sincerely say that once upon a time I would have laughed in your face if you told me such a thing could exist — anywhere — let alone the United States of America.

Also, sometimes people on Wheel already have figured out the answer, and are playing the odds to gain more money before solving the puzzle (trying the bankrupt and lose a turn spaces). The way you describe this though, they were still guessing.

Don’t forget to mention that they received no warning at all that the company was planning to close the mine to file for bankruptcy, giving the miners no advance notice in order to plan for the mine’s closing. Such that guys were on what they thought was paid vacation until their paychecks bounced and they couldn’t even get home. And is now in bankruptcy court, arguing that it has absolutely no responsibility to those workers at all because Chapter 11 protects them from such.

I should have mentioned that we know why they gave no advance notice, no hint that there was any problem with the mine’s finances, until they closed it just as they were filing for bankruptcy. The reason? Because if they’d served up advance notice, then productivity would have dropped off and they wanted to extract every last cent they could before they had to go bankruptcy court. If they told workers that the mine was going to be closed and start preparing, then workers would have called out, they would have protested, and they would have started looking for other jobs. Not to mention they would have tried to get every bit they could have out of 401Ks and health benefits before the tap was shut off. By holding off serving notice until it was a done deal, the company acted in a way that hasn’t been seen since the Guilded Age.

I was in a semi-glam band in about 1973 (New York Dolls was a musical influence, but I couldn’t glam my way out of a paper bag). About a third of our music consisted of covers by Free, The Stones, and the early J. Geils Band. Another third was original songs. I’ve got a reel-to-reel tape of one our gigs that I need to find a way to digitize. It might be legendary.

I’ve got that Molten Gold set and also bought this box set when it came out a couple years ago. Still a favorite band of mine.

Basically the company’s been shortchanging their employees for months, and now at they’re in bankruptcy court, begging the judge to give them more money without any promise that their employees will be made whole before it’s all said and done.

Brooks is doing what you can expect more “NeverTrumpers” to do, which is spin Trump’s failure of a presidency not as a failure of modern conservatism, but of a loss of “decency” and “humility.” And to cover their bases, they’re going to say that if Dems failed to kick Donny’s ass next year, it will be because voters wanted that “decency” and “morality” but didn’t see it in the Dem nominee and so either stayed home or voted to keep Donny.

Understanding David Brooks is incredibly simple once you realize he has only one job: selling both-siderist drivel to the fuckwits in the ruling class that still pretend to believe in that garbage in order to prop up Republicans and deflect away from their innumerable failures.

Import the drugs from a civilized place like Canada that isn’t yet overrun by conservatives. Lower prices with the same or better regulation.

Plus there’s also the point that US big pharma sells the same exact same things all over the world, with people in the US paying the highest prices for it.

It’s more than just that thought. The transfer is from blue to red states in general, but even within states money goes from the urban areas to rural areas in most cases.

Tiffany FitzHenry, a self-described “bestselling author, public speaker, screenwriter, [and] Hollywood whistleblower,” appeared on Chris McDonald’s “The MC Files” program earlier this week, where she claimed that country music songs are actually spells used to control people, and that the musical scales used in contemporary music were designed to “change your DNA.”

FitzHenry claimed that she had recently been doing some editing work for “a massive, massive country music star” and was shown a “list of words” that the performer receives that must be used in their songs.

“There are lists of words that they get that they have to put these words, certain words, into their songs,” she said. “These are spells. If you’ve ever wondered, ‘Why does every country music song mention alcohol, whiskey?’ I think there was a study done that said 90 percent of country music songs in some form or fashion mention or make reference to, if not outright [promote] drinking. There has been a great illusion put over us and music is so powerful.”

FitzHenry went on to assert that “the music scale was changed” by the Rockefellers or Rothchilds back in the early part of the 20th century to shift it away from the natural frequency created by God.

ROTFLMAO!

It’s more than just that thought. The transfer is from blue to red states in general, but even within states money goes from the urban areas to rural areas in most cases.

And yet it is an article of faith that the taxes paid by the 5 citizens of Bumfuck County, California, from their sub-median wages, pay for everything in several of the richest counties in the US.

I’m not surprised that she let the antisemitism slip out of her lip!

“There is a frequency that is sort of the God frequency and then there is a frequency that is just sort of off from that,” she said. “Our scale of modern music [is] off from the real resonance, it’s just a scale down. We don’t realize it, but all of our music is tainted in this way and sound has a powerful influence, a powerful effect on our bodies, on our minds. We’re 75 percent water, and so when something reverberates though you, it changes your DNA.”

Well I’ve heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don’t really care for music, do you?
Well it goes like this:
The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Leonard Cohen - Hallelujah

Or, why you don’t do a clinical trial without including the target population.

Except this was far more nefarious. Decades ago, I recall reading that animal studies by the manufacturer discovered that the drug caused birth defects so it should NEVER have been released in the first place for handling morning sickness. Everyone running the company should have been imprisoned.

Why I did not know that music can change a person’s DNA…

The DNA of America’s youth changed the week that The Beatles were on the Ed Sullivan Show. Nothing was ever the same again.

As far as country music goes, a lot of songs include mentions of the singer’s dog. ‘Dog’ is ‘God’ spelled backwards! It’s all true.

Frances Oldham Kelsey, a true hero.

Not too hard to guess what rang Kelsey’s alarm bell when thalidomide came along. Early in her career, in 1938, she was part of the team that investigated the mass poisonings that resulted from the introduction of Elixir sulfanilamide. The manufacturer, SE Massengill, had used ethylene glycol as a solvent in the product. Their chief chemist, Harold Watkins, did not know that ethylene glycol is poisonous, though it had been on the market for several years and there was already a fair amount of medical literature on the risks. 107 people died, 108 if you count Watkins, who committed suicide. This case led directly to the 1938 Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act that Kelsey was enforcing when she barred thalidomide.

“Beautiful clean coal”…that is always like fusion power, i.e. coming “any day now.” And yet is no closer to being implemented than it was yesterday, because the technology just isn’t there.

Nah, fusion is at least possible, “clean coal” is pretty much ruled out by the laws of thermodynamics.
