Security for Republicans at Trump’s Minneapolis Rally Will Be Handled by Radical Anti-Government Militia “Oath Keepers”

Politics • Views: 26,825

Donald Trump has been stiffing cities all over the nation for unpaid security expenses, and now he’s threatening to sue the City of Minneapolis because they want him to pay upfront for his hate rally scheduled for tonight.

So the Trump campaign is now hiring outside security for some of the Minneapolis work, which sounds like it might be an improvement, right?

Except the “security service” they’re hiring to escort Republicans into the Target Center is “one of the largest radical anti-government groups in the U.S. today,” according to the Southern Poverty Law Center — the heavily armed paramilitary Oath Keepers, a group that was formed in 2009 because America elected a black president and militia/survivalist crackpots across the country were panicking.

Minneapolis alt-weekly City Pages has the whole sordid story: Armed conspiracy group will defend Republicans at Minneapolis Trump rally.

Everything this administration does is bad.

Yeah - I mean, what could possibly go wrong, huh?

On a side note, with those associates of Giuliani arrested, anyone else wondering how long until Rudy G absconds to a safer destination? And by “safer”, I mean a country without an extradition treaty with the USA.

Harrison County Ohio: 2010 Census
One of the whitest counties in the country, just the place for someone who rails against interracial marriage:

The racial makeup of the county was 95.9% white, 2.1% black or African American, 0.1% Asian, 0.1% American Indian, 0.1% from other races, and 1.6% from two or more races. Those of Hispanic or Latino origin made up 0.5% of the population. In terms of ancestry, 20.9% were German, 15.5% were Irish, 9.0% were English, 8.9% were American, and 5.7% were Polish.

They were smuggling women from the Marshall Islands into the US to have on demand adoptions. And it reeks of a violation of state and federal child trafficking laws. It also reeks of lack of consent by these women to create adoption plans for these children.

Others have pointed this out, but suddenly you need a scorecard to keep track of all the corrupt and criminal cronies involved in the Ukraine matter, and the fact that the overlap with those implicated in the Russia-Trump stuff is nearly 100% match.

It’s the same people and a nearly identical fact pattern.

“Many of these mothers described their ordeal as being treated like property,” Kees said. “Make no mistake: this case is the purest form of human trafficking.”

Arkansas has one the largest concentrations of Marshallese immigrants in the U.S. and the women would then be flown there or back to the Marshall Islands after giving birth, authorities said.

Petersen charged families $25,000-$40,000 per adoption and brought about $2.7 million into a bank account for adoption fees in less than two years, according to court documents.

Petersen’s Mesa, Arizona, home is worth more than $600,000 and located in an affluent, gated community.

It’s part of the “Dems have brought things to a halt in Congress!” BS that Repubs think is a winning message for them. When the reality is that they’re scared shitless that many of their number will go to the voters next November with nothing to show but votes to save Donny’s ass as McConnell has gleefully brought all business in the Senate other than votes on judicial nominees to a grinding halt.

If congressional Republicans continue their genuflections at Trump’s altar, the appropriate 2020 outcome will be a Republican thrashing so severe — losing the House, the Senate and the electoral votes of, say, Georgia, Arizona, North Carolina and even Texas — that even this party of slow-learning careerists might notice the hazards of tethering their careers to a downward-spiraling scofflaw.”

forget all the laziness and ineptitude and bungling. the executive time, the golf.

you end by calling this level of conspiracy, depravity, lying, anti-american, election interfering, riot inciting, constitution and oath violating, virtually tratorious behavior a ‘scofflaw’?

unless that’s some intended tremendous understatement, you can just FOAD.

We’ll be lucky if there isn’t an actual massacre. The Oaf Keeper dregs actually believe all that stochastic terrorist incitement about antifa being a “terrorist organization.” It may come home to roost right here.

That’s way over the top. There is not going to be a massacre in Minneapolis tonight.

I’m half serious here. Someone had to tip off the FBI to arrest Fruman and Parnas were leaving the country to make the arrest. That could be Rudy, unless it’s part of a catch and kill effort.

I started to google what the laws are regarding carrying a weapon in Minneapolis, but then decided it wasn’t something that I wanted on my search history. Needless to say, it’s not going to be the same as Texas. Trying to carry in Minneapolis better not go down well.

Since I’m in CA, I had no problem with looking it up (BTW DuckDuckGo doesn’t track searches.). Minneapolis is not open carry, and you need a permit (and to pass a firearm safety test) to carry at all.

I’m not predicting it but it is a very high risk. These assholes came within a hair’s breadth of a mass shootout when they were facing disciplined federal officers at Bundy Ranch. What are they going to do when faced with varied masses of protesters, something with which they have no experience? Their specific job, according to them, is to protect the attendees, since the fatcats and politicos have layers of their own security around them, up to and including the Secret Service. This will bring them close to the protesters and Trump fans are not known for their peaceful demeanor. Any violence at all, from a shoving match on up, could escalate explosively.

From Rep Bill Pascrell’s office (D-NJ):

U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) today wrote separately to the District of Columbia and Virginia state bar associations on the conduct of Attorney General William Barr. Pascrell’s complaints allege rampant violations by Barr of the D.C. and Virginia bar Rules of Professional Conduct and urge the two bodies to impose strong sanctions of Barr’s legal status in the nation’s capital and the commonwealth of Virginia.

“I write to file a complaint against William P. Barr, 950 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. 20530-0001, an active attorney in current good standing,” Pascrell writes the bar associations. “I request your office commence an immediate investigation of his behavior and consider sanctions for his conduct up to and including revocation of his license to practice law in your jurisdiction.”

In less than a year on the job, the compendium of Mr. Barr’s bad acts in office is staggering. Barr sought to mislead the public on the findings of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and likely lied to Congress on at least two occasions. He was also found in contempt of Congress by the House for refusing to comply with a legally-imposed subpoena. A recently-released letter from a whistleblower alleges that Barr has helped Donald Trump pressure foreign governments to open political investigations into Trump’s political foes and meddle in U.S. elections. Overall, Barr has participated in a corruption of the Justice Department the likes of which are unprecedented in American history.

“Mr. Barr’s pattern of lying and his corruption of the rule of law in America in service of one man is a betrayal of Attorney General Robert Kennedy’s warnings and unprecedented in our national life. In carrying out that perversion, Mr. Barr has clearly violated [your] Rules of Professional Conduct he swore to uphold and should face the severest sanction your body can mete out: revocation of his law licensure,” Pascrell concludes.

It’s bullshit is what it is. This is a completely routine exercise, happens several times a month. Denmark and Sweden are not in Russian territory or anywhere close to their ADIZ, at least not yet, and that is what is shown on the Russian language map. Rivet Joint is active over the Baltic literally every day, and J-Stars probably is. The latter is certainly active over Germany and Poland, the region immediately adjacent to the Baltic for quite a ways eastward.

Fun fact, if you use his state by state approval rating as a basis for an electoral college map, excluding states within +/-5%, the numbers are 285-70-183 D/R/tctc. It’s definitely weaker. But we’ve had that in this country before, and have bounced back, because people believe we will. It really is the case that it will fail when everyone gives up.

Plus, I view the election of Trump as a reaction to our country becoming more liberal, in the sense that more people were finally accessing the right to be treated equally. We elected a black man president. We’re in a cold Civil War right now (though we have had some bloodshed). But we can prevail.

Way too early for optimism, IMO, but this stuff is in line with what I’ve seen postulated elsewhere: that if Trump is the nominee in 2020, he’s going to be starting in an EV hole. And facing an uphill climb out of it.

Wisconsin Spice Company Spends More Than $100K On Pro-Impeachment Ads

A Wisconsin-based spice company spent more than $100,000 in the first week of October on a social media advertisement calling for the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

According to advertising data released by Facebook, Penzeys Spices, a Wauwatosa-based spice company, spent $109,933 between Oct. 1 and Oct. 7 posting and reposting an ad that called Trump’s phone call with Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky a “mandatory open and shut case for the impeachment.”

The advertisement also says the Republican Party has “turned its back on conservative values and has instead come to embrace the ‘textbook’ racism of white nationalism.”

According to an analysis published Wednesday by the news site Axios, Penzeys’ spending on the impeachment-related ad between Sept. 25 and Oct. 5 was second only to the Trump campaign’s own ads about impeachment.

Trying to decide what to call tonight’s side dish — First Frost or just Tithing to the Fridge, a colorful slop er, melange of the last summer squash, a handful of little green tomatoes, chopped celery, the tag end of a sweet onion, the last three roasted Hatch chiles, and last night’s leftover asparagus, all sautéed in olive oil and seasoned with a ‘garden varietal’ spice blend. My kid won’t touch it with a ten-foot pole, mind you, but hubby and I will feel virtuous.

U.S. Grant’s might be a close runner-up.

Ulysses S Grant was NOT a crook.
(he was, in fact, so poor he had to write memoirs to be able to leave his wife any inheritance at all)

He was framed by confederates, to tarnish his legacy.

It’s getting really hard to distinguish satire from reality these days: that WaPo Twitter piece wasn’t meant to be serious. The thing is, their “argument” (meant to be an over-the-top parody, one presumes) isn’t all that far from some actual “arguments” the WH and various GOP officials/enablers/bootlickers have seriously advanced. In public fora.

Okay, not to be ageist or anything, but am I the only one who thinks it’s weird that Don Jr’s girlfriend is OLDER THAN his step-mother? Not to mention 9 years older than he is?

Apart from her being a horrible person, doesn’t this sort of go against brand?

Mother fornicator, you sold your soul to Trump and what did you even get out of it? Insults to your wife & accusations that your dad killed JFK.

“Moral high ground”? Did Ted Cruz whose party has been kissing DJT ass for four years really just say “moral high ground”?

I just can’t..

Speaking of which, you know what’s funny about the Wash Times “Exclusive!!” on AOC’s $300 hair job? It’s a conservative outlet trying to make an “integrity” argument, like, if AOC was really a self-described Soshulist like we say, why would she go all free market capitalism with the hair styling, hurr, hurr? That’s some gall, I mean, DJT has taken the idea of Republican family values, honor, and Christian faith and set it all on fire. The man (and his party) has no principle other than his own promotion and self-preservation, and the Moonie Times is trying to be all Whatabout Whatabout Whatabout….

True story: people yell that at Bobcat Goldthwait (sp?) and he says: “they’re dead and they ain’t coming back.” Learns from stage crew that he needs to leave stage in different direction because survivors of the Lynyrd Skynyrd band happened to be in the audience and that’s why the cheer. They weren’t happy with his improvised comedy.

NEW: Trump tasks State Dept to “find common ground” b/t Turks and Kurds to come up with ceasefire in N Syria, according to a senior State Dept official. (That was the Security Mechanism the Pentagon carefully negotiated, which went out the window during POTUS phone call Sunday.)

He is trying to set up a situation that he alone can fix so he can get the Nobel.
