Trump is nowhere near as stable as a functioning nuclear reactor.

There are 457 nuclear reactors in the world, there’s been about 100 “serious” accidents/incidents over the years. And only a handful of true disasters (Chernobyl, Three Mile Island, Fukashima).

Trump is Chernobyl, wrapped in Fukashima, surrounded by Three Mile Island.

I think the real question is if the House passes an article of impeachment for obstruction of congress. Senate (and House) Republicans can poopoo the quid pro quo and emoluments stuff and handwave it away. But how many of them want to set the precedent for a Democratic president to tell them to fuck off when they are in the majority and try to issue subpoenas?

I’d just push through an appropriations bill under reconciliation rules that forbids any US government payments to domestic private resorts for the G7 summit and suggests Camp David as a perfectly viable alternate location. That would avoid the mission creep blowback from adding another impeachment inquiry and also clear the bill of attainder prohibition since no one entity would be singled out.

Trump’s base actually LOVES the idea that he’s extorting a foreign country to get dirt on the Dems. Remember, these clowns contain many who believe in QAnon, and they’re CONVINCED of the truth of every single crazy, stupid, impossible conspiracy theory. This is what they’ve been waiting for, for years - someone who would use any means to attack the people they’re absolutely convinced think they’re ignorant, racist hicks.

Back when we were being called ‘treasonous’ for criticizing GWB’s handling of Iraq, these people thought that was ‘being too nice’ and ‘letting the Dems trample all over us’.

With the Emoluments clause, and the businesses losing money probably permanently as long as Trump has anything to do with them, could we simply do an IRS lien after he leaves office, and make these property of the United States? Indeed, violations of the emoluments clause should have tax consequences. Sort of like money made from drug dealing.

I kind of like the idea of having them open to all of the people who Trump has screwed to visit, and we could always use a few more nature reserves.

Yes, and Thank You. It looks like it’s going to be a couple of months or so. I’ll get the money back it seems, but even the guy on the phone wasn’t sure how long it will take.
I wish I had been told about this sooner so I could have filed those papers. Not that I regret what happened, but I probably could have set some money aside instead.

I sent you a message at the GoFundMe site with my email.
