They’re not wrong, Senators are the only folks that matter now. No use trying to spin the story when you admit it that you did it and your followers don’t care because they will follow you over the cliff.

Do what ever you have to do to keep the Senate from voting for removal then you can deny the legitimacy of the whole deal and go back to committing crimes with a clean slate.

John Kelly

He added: “That was almost 11 months ago, and I have an awful lot of, to say the least, second thoughts about leaving. It pains me to see what’s going on because I believe if I was still there or someone like me was there, he would not be kind of, all over the place.”

said one poster:

So the President of the United States is a deranged treasonous racist lunatic with a quick temper, and Kelly’s regret is that he’s not still there helping to hide all that?

“…The Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO), according to Vistakis, has been targeted by White House leadership for removal. He reports that leaders employed tactics such as “habitually being hostile” to OCISO members, withholding annual bonuses, and limiting workers’ job scopes in order to force them to quit.

……………

Also of concern is the metric leadership is leveraging to gauge success of the cybersecruity program. Measuring the success of your security staff by the frequency major compromises are identified versus the duration of time since the last compromise is absurd.

Vistakis greatest complaint seems to be that White House officials are prioritizing the President’s comfort or convenience over actual computer security.”

I’m killing an hour before I make the trek over to my daughter’s house to run their generator when the power goes out. They’re off in Monterey, having fun-which is rare enough for them lately that I didn’t want them to have to stay home.

This will, theoretically be a good chance to catch up on some reading. Last time PG&E cut the power Comcast was out for the duration as well, so there won’t likely be TV or internet. And I can take a walk or two since I don’t have to be staring at the generator every second. Plus, since I’ll be there, the cat will get his wet food this evening instead of (boring) kibble. He will be surprised to find me sleeping there.

I will also get a vacation from news, political and otherwise. Not that there will likely be a whole lot over the Sat. evening/Sun. time frame.

I’m guessing that’s a euphemism for tie him a new one?

Indeed it is.

re: #112 calochortus

Not that there will likely be a whole lot over the Sat. evening/Sun. time frame.

Pack your nomex underwear.

Pack your nomex underwear.

Nah, It will be easy enough to escape if I need to. Catching the cat and stuffing him in his carrier will be the problem.

I remember the day when Bill would have spun Kelly’s remark into some sort of planned Q set up to trap somebody for something for some reason…..

I guess Bill is running out of conspiracy ideas?

soak a cotton ball in milk and hold it on your eye

Fortunately, I didn’t get to that point—-this time. I could have used that advice a year of so ago when I made the same recipe. This time I thought having my hands in soapy water as I cleaned up would take care of it. Not nearly as strong as the last time, but the oils really do linger.

So, the brave, macho yam is going to go late and leave early for tomorrow’s game (so as not to be “disruptive” to fans. Uh huh.

Wonder if he’ll take Barron (if he even remembers who the kid is) to try and stave off the boos, as Sarah Palin tried with Piper when she went to a Flyers game. Editor’s note—it did not work out well for Palin.

We were notified Thursday night that they were gonna cut off our power tonight, but by last night they’d refined the area to exclude us. But folks a couple blocks West aren’t so lucky.

One of the stupid Deplorables in the thread claimed that Trump’s brother died so this story is a lie. Trump had two brothers, one of whom is very much alive. Can’t these idiots who defend Trump use Google?

He could hardly have done worse.

“I’d tell him, just comply with the officer, and you’ll be fine” would have been worse, marginally.

He should have said something more like, “As an old white guy, I’m about the LAST person a young black man should ask about how to deal with the police.”
